For someone new to the world of motorcycling, this was an invaluable and excellent read. Some sections were absolute page turners, since it described techniques and practices that are designed to reduce the dangers inherent while piloting a two-wheeled craft in a sea of four-wheeled, predatory other vessels.

The only weakness of the book was its chapter-oriented, episodic nature.

I think this is the closest version I can find to the book I read (twice). My version was also written by Motorcycle Safety Foundation. I also read the regular motorcycle handbook you can buy from your courthouse (I think three times?). Anyways, for those of you on here who don't know. I've recently bought a dual-sport motorcycle, which is where all my reading time has gone. (Plus a lack of finding a good book lately.)

I took the MSF course and got my license, which is why I read one of their books before I took the course and it ended up being the same used in the class, so I got to read it again in class. I actually tied at having the second highest [riding] score in the class, I actually tied with another girl and the youngest boy in the class ended up getting the highest score.

All in all though, I'd recommend reading this book for anyone who wants more knowledge on motorcycles or who has been riding for a while to refresh your memory. I ride a Yamaha XT250 for anyone curious.
