The Beautiful Ones at Shadowlight Academy is broken.

Shadowlight Academy itself is barely standing.

The Beautiful Boys are gone... leaving me to pick up the pieces...

To Stand Strong. Me. Against an Army.

*****

Unlike many high school heroines in fantasy books, I always knew I was not ordinary. Far from it.

Since I was two, I have been seeing angels and demons. Given the gift of battle as a warrior, my role as a slayer often interferes with my role as a normal girl. So no, I was never a typical girl who had just found out she was heir to some magical family or something like that. I've been "gifted" practically all my life.

So when my ordinary family moved us to San Francisco to a new school where my father teaches, I didn't think much of the school. Shadowlight Academy, the most exclusive and posh prep academy for the super rich. I thought I would be there to slay the evil like an undercover superhero amongst the ordinary.

I just didn't think the ordinary would all be extremely unordinary. Especially the three most popular kids in school, known as the Beautiful Ones. Then there's the hot brooding rebel boy who didn't seem to fit in, too. Everyone here has secrets, and I am determined to find out what, before it kills me... the entire Academy and even the world.

*Gone Rogue is the third book in a high school paranormal academy series for mature teens and up. Expect a tough heroine who can take on anyone and anything, will, lots of steam literally and figuratively, and a reverse harem.

Some of the lasting questions that were brought up from the other books are answered in book 3. Mainly about Lux (the MFC) and why she is who she is. Which is good but with that cliffhanger ending (which was good) your left in a kinda of limbo. Whereas i thought this was the ending but in fact its the start of another series of books after this one. Not that im complaining, ok maybe a little at first until i realised that i get to read more about Lux, Asher, Brax and Moore. Characters that i genuinely love reading about so i guess its a win-win for me. So bring on the next series. Ill definitely be reading it

Epic Conclusion!

Once again this author dazzles us with a fantastic conclusion, but not the complete end, to this trilogy. The story will continue in the next trilogy, which I can’t wait to read. Fantastic main characters and amazing world building. Lux is quite the badass heroine who has fallen in love with some amazing men who would do anything for her. I am happy this is not the end of these characters, just a change of scenery!

This book had me hooked from the moment that I started reading it. I could not put it down and when I had things to do in the house I was actually reading it while walking.

The story is amazing. Once you start you need to finish it. It moves along at a great pace, which is neither too fast nor too slow. The characters are so real that you feel as though you know them personally and you want to know more about them.

No matter what this is a must read. You will not be sorry.

Good series

Well this book has a great ending but there is more to come! Lux finally realizes that she loves all three guys and admits it. There is a lot of action and heat. Once you start reading, you will not want to put it down. This was a good series to read and more to come from Lux and the guys. In really loved Lux as a character. So I cannot wait to see what will happen next.

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I have really been loving this trilogy. I love Lux and her boys. They might not always get along but she loves the just the same. I did not want this books to end. All that they have to go through to stay together. I have to say that Asher is my favorite character in the series. I am ready for the next series.

It was a good book 3 and I am so glad that we get to continue on with these characters in Shadowlight Hunters Academy! I loved the guys from the start and they just continue to get better. Lux is a great MFC and the world-building is awesome as well. All in all, a really good read!

Book three is just as good as book one and two. This book answers a bunch of the left over questions from the other books. There are so many twists and turns I can’t wait for more.

This book series had a lot of potential, but there were just too many inconsistencies and spelling errors for me to fully enjoy it. I love RH stories, both supernatural and contemporary, but this series just did not do it for me.

Lux, The MFC, is supposed to be this badass demon slayer who have been slaying since she was 2 years old. But in every final battle she always seem to falter. Either she freezes, looses focus and just seems to be standing and watching instead of taking action, or she lets the demon's she's fighting manipulate her and allways ends up needing to be saved by one of her guys. Having fought demons since the age of 2, one would think she would know not to let demons manipulate her, that she would know how devious and cunning they could be. The way she performs in these battles, it's a miracle she has survived this long.

When problems and questions started to pile up and they dont know where to start looking for answers, the first logic thing to do should be to contact her head guardian angel Lothario to see if he can give some answers or help point them in the right direction, but this does not even seem to strike their minds even once. Instead they seem to stumble around and wasting precious time.

It's also weird that Braxton's uncle Dr. Kingsley (whom he had never heard about before and just showed up out of nowhere when his parents went missing), never told him how they were related until right before he died, that he was married to his father's sister. But later on, in book 3, one demon slayer who knew his uncle made the comment that he saw the family resemblens between him and his uncle, something that would be weird seing as they were only related trough marriage, unless Braxton's aunt married someone she was related to.

Lux also keeps going back and forth with how strongly she feels about the guys, one second saying she loves them and the next second turns around and makes it seem like she dosen't know how she feels about them.

During the two first books she exchanged "I love you's" with all of them at diffirent points, and at the end of book 2 while fighting with Moore's sister Shayne, she declared all 3 of them her boyfriends and said she loved them all. But when the 3'rd book starts she all of a suden seem like she has a problem with Archer being her guardien angel and dont know how she feels about him, when that has never been an issue up until then. She also seem to be confused about how she feels or should feel about the guys and is all of a sudden reluctant to get into any relationship with any of them, even tho she declared them her boyfriends at the end of book 2.

This all leaves me confused and frustrated, even more so when the book series ended on a cliffhanger and we have to start reading a whole new bookseries just to get to know what happens. I wanted to give this series up after the first book but desided to power trough to find out how it ended, whitc made me even more frustrated that i now find out i have to read 3 more books to get to the end....
