When father of two, 47-year-old Kevin Lee, did not come home for dinner on Good Friday, 29 March 2013, his wife Cristina immediately sensed that he was in trouble. They had been married for 17 years and no one knew him better than his wife. Kevin was a creature of habit. Every night he would come home, have his dinner, watch television with his wife and kids.
What she didn’t know, is that Kevin’s burnt-out, light blue Ford Mondeo was about to be found. Passers-by reported the burning car to Triple Nine and fire crews arrived within minutes to extinguish the fire. They knew that this was no accident – the fire had been deliberately lit. The damage was extensive and ruined the entire car. In searching the car and the surrounding area, there was no sign of a body.
