Describes the experiences of travellers on safaris to remote areas in Botswana, Mongolia, and the Galapagos Islands, and along the Amazon River, and their observations of local customs, wild animals, and exotic scenery.
Based on the writing style, it's safe to say that I'm out of the target audience by a decade, but it was very interesting and there were tons of great pictures! I found myself a bit jealous of the adventures that these people were having. It was also cool to learn about different cultures. Would recommend, albeit to kids, not teenagers.
This probably won't bother most people, but there were a lot of areas with weird formatting or where the text just got repetitive. Like where the text got split up for several pages or the way the same pieces of information would be repeated 3 times. Reminded me of my days working for my school yearbook! So I imagine it's more of the boss's fault rather than the writers, we were forced to include information all the time even at the detriment of the writing.
