2021-03-17 This was the 2nd book in my honors HS History - Non Western Cultures class my sophomore year. I don't remember liking it much at all. Not easy to read. Not memorable much at all.

Given this was published in 1967, things have changed vastly in this AO, however there is nothing wrong with going back to get a grasp on the historical roots of the world that we live in today.

For me, this book is an addition to my first and second world war readings as well as a little bit of research into a character in my own series of action novels...

Solid collection of readings and primary accounts on the topic. Well suited for developing a relatively comprehensive understanding of the period. It is actually not a long read, being digestible in parts/chapters.
