This companion workbook to Understanding Your Ten Essential Touchstones for Finding Hope and Healing Your Heart is designed to help mourners explore the many facets of their unique grief through journaling. Ten essential touchstones for mourners are covered, including being open to the presence of loss, dispelling misconceptions about grief, embracing the uniqueness of grief, seeking reconciliation, and reaching out for help. Journalers are asked specific questions about their feelings of grief as they relate to the ten essential touchstones and are provided with writing space for their reflections.
Together with the book, Understanding Your Grief, this little journal allows you to work with your grief in small doses. I used it in a Grief Support Group at my church. Six of us worked through these books together. Some were just a year or two out from their loss (3 spouses, 3 sons), others as much as 17 years. We all benefited, grew and became 'unstuck'. When you decide to be more intentional in working through your grief after someone you love dies, these books are a great place to start.
Helped me tremendously in my search to understanding what happened to me. My lost was easier to understand when writing it down. I will cherish this journal and what I wrote in it for the rest of my life. Grief and mourning are inseparable. Rest in peace in my love.
