Steve Perrin leaves something to be desired as an RPG scenario designer. The included adventures are both bare bones and overly restrictive (I'm not sure I felt this way back in 1986, when I first got this book). There is a lot of good material here, but it is dated (to the point of Perrin arguing that there are no villains in ElfQuest) and tied to a mostly unplayable system.
