I keep laughing at the cover shown on Goodreads (a woman flicking off the camera) because it’s not the same cover as my kindle book, and I honestly may not have read it if I had seen it.

With that being said, I thought this book was excellent! The author is very real and doesn’t at all pretend to have it all together, as many books by/for Christian wives might come across. She isn’t afraid to openly and honestly share their own issues.

The author discusses a very unpopular but important message: how to truly honor God through marriage, even if your husband is difficult.

The book starts out with her wanting to leave her marriage because she is extremely angry with her husband and is overall unkind and negative towards him too. She realizes how that has spilled over into all areas of her life and that her heart and attitude hasn’t been honoring God.

She then goes on to dig into God’s Word and find out what He has to say about marriage and how a wife should treat her husband. That is what is discussed in the rest of the book, in good detail with lots of Scripture to back it up.

If you’re a wife who is angry, feeling unloved,
negative, or disengaged in your marriage, this would be a very convicting and challenging, yet encouraging and potentially life changing book to read!
