This phenomenal text chronicles NJ Superintendents in the Panasonic Foundation and their quest for continued equity in NJ schools. Based on the well-researched practice of Instructional Rounds, this work is what will bring about true change in NJ. The honesty, the community, and the tools are invaluable.
It was also fun to read about so many mentors and equity giants in NJ - so many of whom I have been blessed to know and learn from.
Read it for grad school - interesting premise, incorporating "equity visits" into classroom visits so ensure that the needs of marginalized populations such as BIPOC students, Special Ed students, English language learners, etc. are being met on par with all other students. Definitely worth thinking about as we are working to achieve equity in education - and in society in general.
