"How many passions and dreams are crushed each day because we expect our students to mirror information regurgitating smartphones instead of people? And at what point are students supposed to feel valued for who they are (not how they perform) when we don't allow ourselves to learn from them, celebrate their dreams, and support them in healthy risk taking?"

I enjoyed this book as years ago I pursued a teaching degree and currently help teach religious education to children at my local parish. It was inspiring and easily read. Other than a few spelling errors, I really liked this book and the writing.

Super fast and easy book to read, took about one hour to read it but some of the quotes will stay with me for a long time. Speaks to so much of what I’m feeling about education.
