Correspondent Harry Reasoner reflects back on the history of television news, famous news stories he helped cover, fellow reporters from Ed Murrow to Mike Wallace, and his roles on such programs as 60 Minutes and the ABC Evening News
The humorous conversational writing is applauded. The pacing a little moderate, and Reasoner's clear dated conservative style is magnified through the descriptions he gives to his encounters along his journalist path. Americans were described by specific details...attractive...bright...mid-western... charming...or solely a name. Everyone else was defined by skin color. That spiel on reading and books however, I wholly enjoyed!!! That part was worth all the praise I could give it.
