ONE OF THE BEST ESL COURSEBOOK I'VE EVER TAUGHT FROM. Every Unit is introduced with a TED talk which is about the theme of the unit. There's an EXCELLENT and detailed PRE listening task, which introduces the key vocab words. Then there's gist questions, specific information questions, inferring, and free practice. It's REALLY great and it helps the instructor make the classroom FUN. The thing I appreciate the most about this book is the fact that it uses authentic material not the usually tailored unrealistic stuff we see in coursebooks every day. Another thing I love about this book is how each unit has a Presentation Skills intro to point out good stuff in the TED talk. Really brilliant. Love it.
