So far, I think I like Ryan's the best, surprisingly. He's a wounded military veteran who has a TBI and some serious bodily injury that will affect his life forever. He's brooding and moody, and a debbie downer, but its easy to understand. He hasn't had it easy - as a kid or otherwise as an adult. He had shitty parents, a shitty home life, shitty abandonment by his sister Henley, and shitty circumstances in the military that get him discharged and back home for good. In the midst of his asshole-ish behavior, though, you see a good character underneath - and I really like that. I also wouldn't say he's unhinged like the others, but maybe that's because that's just a Gilroy thing and he's not Gilroy blood lol
And again with a solid non-romantic relationship in a romance novel - I LOVE Ryan and Molly's relationship. I've found in general I love kids in the dynamic surprisingly, and Molly is no exception. She's adorable, well written, and totally smitten for Ryan which makes it so believable and easy for him to be smitten with her. I just love their interactions.
AND AGAIN with my complaints - not only were there some typos and grammar issues, but one part of the book literally had duplicated paragraphs. Like 3 paragraphs copied and pasted right behind the same 3 paragraphs. Ugh. These books really needed some good proofreading before they were published - which they obviously did not get. Still I love this series overall.
