Operation Phoenix – number 36 in the original (and still the best) Survivalist book series created by Jerry Ahern is an awesome addition to the continuing story of John Thomas Rourke.
I have been an avid reader of the book series since the first book in the early 80’s and it remains one of my favorite series of all time.
When Jerry Ahern ended the series, I always hoped he would revisit the Rourke Family and give us an update on their new world.
Thankfully, Bob Anderson and Sharon Ahern picked up the mantle and are continuing the story of the Rourke Family and their fight for freedom.
Operation Phoenix returns the series to its roots and is a action packed page turner because the Rourke Family is going on the offensive.
We are treated to all of the original cast strapping on their holsters, sharpening their knives, and taking the fight to the enemies of freedom on every front.
The action is non-stop and lays the foundation for some serious twists and turns in future books – and the cliffhanger of an ending leaves you hanging and ready for more.
Highly recommend this book as a welcome addition to your Survivalist collection!
