I've never been so obsessed with a movie that I needed to buy, let alone read the companion book until this one. Elton John fan since childhood. Absolutely loved the movie. I found this book gripping, fascinating, and insightful. The photos are gorgeous and there's more than just photos from the film. There's behind the scenes, deleted scenes, and detailed photos of the many extraordinary costumes. If you're like me and can't get enough of Rocketman, I highly suggest this book!

I absolutely loved the rocketman film so I obviously had to get the book, as Taron Egerton is one of my favourite actors. Through seeing the film and reading the book I’ve come to realise how inspiring Elton John is.

really wish this had more behind the scenes or just more details in general. felt like it was very vague and while i enjoyed looking at the pictures, i wish there was more written about the process of the film or even just interviews with people who worked on it? idk i love this movie to death though so i enjoyed it

I’ll start by saying, if you are any of the following, you should read this book:

1. A fan of movies

3. A fan of the movie Rocketman which is about Elton John
4. A fan of biopics
5. Interested in how movies are made
6. Interested in recreation of real clothing by a costume designer

My fascination with Elton John began at my last job. A coworker of mine LOVES Elton. I love movies. So when I saw the first trailer for Rocketman I immediately texted my friend a link to watch. I saw this movie opening night in the local Dolby theatre and was blown away. I saw it once more in the theatre but honestly wish I could have seen it many many more times. The color, the music, the videography, it was everything. I knew nothing about Elton going into it and came out feeling like we were close friends and he just told me his life story. Rocketman is one of those movies for me that just touched my soul and stayed with me long after I left the theatre.

I saw this book at Target a few weeks ago and the $40 price tag took my breath away for a second. Lucky for me, my library had a copy! I’m so glad I was able to spend the time flipping through this, reading blurbs from those involved in the film and seeing some beautiful photographs. Rocketman comes out on blu-ray tomorrow and you bet your sweet cheeks I’m buyin’ it. I hope all the deleted scenes discussed in this book are on the disc!!

Anyway, I adored this and I adore Elton John, that is all.

This behind the scenes book has an interesting array of high quality photographs, information, quotes, and a interesting behind the scenes look at the making of Rocketman. I also found the costume department section really interesting. There were so many costumes, some of which didn’t make it into the film!
