I grew up on stories of places that never were, of science fiction and fantasy, heroes and gods. I was captivated by ideas of transformation and transcendence, of people who passed out of the world of the ordinary and into a world where the impossible could happen. While it was the spectacle and wonder of these stories that gripped me first, as I grew older I came to appreciate them for another reason: by taking us out of our mundane context, these authors could tackle ideas and quandaries that would otherwise be too close for the reader's comfort. Authors like Tolkien and Heinlein and Card may have written stories filled with impossible things, but the stories were ABOUT ideas and problems at the heart of human experience. They were stories about people -- and whether those people were hobbits or Martians or nine-year-old military masterminds, there was Truth to be found in these stories that could be of value to us today.
It's my hope that my own stories inspire you to think about these deeper issues, as well -- and give you a rollicking good time in the process.

A cop with PTSD takes a break from fighting the big problems of the big city to visit her folks in the sticks with her boyfriend from the Church of Hedonism for the holidays. Complications ensue, but they manage to enjoy their vacation anyway. If you've been following the Metamor City series, you know these characters have been running from crisis to crisis and really deserve an interlude where they can take some time to explore the sexual potentialities of their respective magical powers, and this is it.

Lester's stories never fail to delight, or in this case, tantalize. ;)

I started this book expecting a fun, sexy romp, with magic guiding some of the eroticism. What I got was so much more. There are warm, fuzzy feelings of family & friend acceptance! There's a well thought out plot that touches interestingly on some societal issues (in a fantasy universe, but there are real world parallels)! There such steamy and varied sex (in terms of one on one vs group (and group composition), how magic comes into play, etc)! This book is a fun, wild ride, and I recommend it to adventurous readers of erotic romance!
Homecoming is a stand-alone novel, and it's not necessary to read other books in this universe to enjoy it (though they are excellent, and provide extra context, but they are different genres, with much less erotic content and more action/adventure/investigative drama and others, depending on the book/story).
I also recommend checking out the author's note (visible early in the preview on amz), as it provides a list of content notes that can help in deciding whether to read. Some story elements and themes that may be a hard pass to some readers, and enticing to others. Yay for informative, non-spoilery content notes!
If you decide to read, you're in for a sexy adventure with a lot of heart!!
