Jameson Brothers #2

L'Aventure du Milliardaire (Les Frères Jameson t. 2)

Rate this book

New to Leslie? Readers suggest starting with 'The Bossy One' (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C6BP3BBF) —Imagine a sunny Minnesotan Mary Poppins, employed by a grumpy Irish billionaire. The story is a blend of humor, revenge, passion, heartbreak, hope, and witty banter. As one reader put it, ‘This story had me squealing at the romantic moments and silly moments.’

Leslie North is the USA Today Bestselling pseudonym for a critically-acclaimed author of romantic comedies and contemporary romance. The anonymity allows her to fully express her creativity, especially in the romantic and fun sexy scenes!

In fact, she confesses to loving her fictional persona, Leslie North, more than her everyday self! Her bestselling books are known for their strong characters, particularly women who aren’t afraid to challenge an alpha bosshole. And the humor? So infectious, you’ll be laughing out loud in public!

Leslie’s love for romance began when she picked up a worn-out romance book from her local library. She started writing soon after, and as they say, the rest was history. She now resides in a cozy cottage on the British coast, enjoying long walks with her two Dalmatians, George and Fergie.

Check out my book Blog: @Lili's Blissful Pages

This is the story of Eddie Jameson, the reason why Trinity and Sam had to work together in the first book and I love him instantly. And I love him more meeting him again, now in his own book. He was the troublemaker and easy-go-lucky among the three brothers and he’d always want to prove his brothers he’d changed. But discovering that he’s about to be a daddy might not the best way to prove himself. Unless, he acts like a man in control and marry Margot Dale, his childhood bestfriend and daughter of Jameson Agency’s important client.

There’s just something lacking in the story though I understand it was short. There was just a short flashback of why Margot and Eddie ended up sleeping together, aside from just being drunk. Also, it seems like Margot is so indecisive and I’m not fond of characters who are indecisive. One moment she adores Eddie’s acts as a future dad, and the next moment, she’s mad. Maybe it’s her pregnancy symptoms. 🙂 Anyway, Eddie’s sweetnes and eagerness to change earned stars so still a good read.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

I really liked Eddie in the first book, and he continues to grow up in this next book! When he gets the surprise that he is going to be a father, he is pressured into proposing by Margot's father. Throughout the book, he figures out that he needs to be true to himself and what Margot wants not what his future father-in-law wants.

Their history as children growing up together was so cute and I would have loved to see those two as they did their wedding march!

I really thought that there would be more drama when Margot found out that Eddie was pressured into proposing but that really wasn't an issue between them. The first book there was more drama with Sam not understanding he needed to change for his marriage to work, so this was not as drama filled as the first book.

I loved the end when Eddie had Margot meet him on the boat that was a great scene and also loved the epilogue when we see the happy parents!

A good story, but I didn't love it. You get their night together as a flashback from Margot and I'm not even sure what prompted them getting together, other than being a bit drunk? I guess I just wish there had been more backstory and the whys of Eddie making such a drastic switch in personality.

This wasn’t my first book from Leslie North, so I shouldn’t be surprised for the unexpected. Well, playboy, pregnant fling, business agreement. I thought I knew where this went. Some part of it was just like I thought, very small part at that. Most? I was happily surprised.

The main characters were childhood friends, who silently had carried torch for each other all the time, but became fling (or so they thought) only recently. They were best friends who suddenly had to navigate pregnancy together, with interruption and meddling from all sides. What I loved most about them both was the positive vibe they kept emitting. There were some arguments, yet both willing to talk about it, to find win-win solution. And they had faith for each other. It was very refreshing to read this book. It left me with light heart and happy feeling.

And the most important take home message? Be yourself…

I was provided a complementary copy by the author / publisher through NetGalley, but this in no way influenced my thoughts or opinions.

I enjoyed the latest from Leslie North and her Jameson brothers series. Eddie Jameson is the baby brother, the constant playboy and the one out to prove to people he is more than that. Margot Daley is the daughter of one of his company's biggest clients and one of Eddie's closet friends. Then one night they both go too far and end up with a chance at what could be the best thing ever. When Margot sees Eddie again after their night together she drops the bomb that he wasn't expecting, she's pregnant. Now Eddie will step up his game, try to be too much like his brother Sam, and be what Margot needs, even if what she needs is just Eddie as himself. They have a lot to work out if they want together to work, but the end will be so worth it. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

When Eddie decided to grow up, I'm pretty sure he didn't have fatherhood on the brain. Funny how life has a way of surprising us with what we never knew we needed at just the right time. Eddie wants to be a better man. Working to clean up his act and prove himself to his family, fatherhood couldn't have come at a worst time. Margot is the girl he never saw coming, but could hardly live without. Friends to lovers to parents is a bumpy ride, but it ends up being the best decision they ever made. Ms. North keeps her trademark sex appeal, but adds humor and heart in this sweet bundle of surprises.

Thank you!!!!

I was in love with Eddie ever since I read him in “The Billionaire’s Ex-Wife.” He was really trying to make his brothers realize that he was serious about doing a good job.

It was a great read. So, Eddie and Margot had a wonderful night together. I don’t get why they went on their separate ways. Eddie was working hard, and Margot also has a busy schedule. When they do see each other again, Margot drops the bomb that she is has a bun in the oven.

He made it clear that he had always loved Margot. He was also very serious about showing her that he was going to be there for her every step of the way. He did make some mistakes but its hard to be mad at Eddie, he is just too cute!

I was pleasantly surprised to hear that this story was told in Duet - while the narrative is told in alternating dual 3rd person POV, all dialogue is done by the appropriately sexed narrator. This really added to the listening experience in my opinion. I did feel that the narration was a bit lopsided between the two voice actors; Veronica Pace is consistently on point in depicting the feel of the story and emotion and intent of the characters, but there were many times Marcio's inflection and tone did not match that of the character (mostly Eddie) or the situation he was depicting and that detracted a bit from the story. Other than that, the tale of Margot and Eddie was cute and fast paced, with a suitable amount of the steam I've come to expect from Leslie North. I think I may have enjoyed the story more if I had read book one, but it read decently as a standalone. 3 out of 5 wine glasses.

Donovan had the full attention of the tv producers. He had spent the last eight minutes going over his proposal. Now he needed to drive it home. He said he needed a wife. So what did they say, could they marry this incredibly handsome gaming CEO -him- for ratings? Donovan had come up with this idea a couple of weeks ago in response to a bet between him and his best friend Nick -whoever found a wife first got a million dollars. Donovan didn’t need the money but he wanted to win. Donovan and his buddies had always seen competitiveness as akin to godliness. He who competes best - and hardest- wins. And what harder bet than marriage. Donovan didn’t care about happily-ever- after. He just wanted the prestige. Being a star on a reality tv show meant automatic publicity for his company Fitz Gaming. They were position themselves to take on the big names in the first person role - playing games with a huge secret and potentially game changing project in the works. This reality show couldn’t have been more perfectly times. Nick had sent one of his own developers to hone a matchmaking app. Melissa introduced herself to Donovan. She was a junior producer at Prospective Studios. She had pushed for the show with Donovan and finally the producers agreed to give her the green light with the program. Than Donovan invited hre to his house to brainstorm and he would provide dinner and she agreed. Melissa got to Donovan's she felt like she was in a Inception - like reality, where she achieved all her career goals in one sweep after asserting herself in her first ever executive meeting that she really attended on accident. She knew Donovan had looked at her approximately ten times and her panties had become toast. She didn’t understand a billionaire like Donovan wanted more limelight. He couldn’t possibly want a wife. She realized as she pulled into Donovan’s house that she had to set some ground rules. For herself. Because he was new territory she waded in. And she could lose control -fast. This show was her priority. She needed to prove to her senior colleagues she was capable of popular, high quality television. The goal was to make it to executive producer by the end of the year. And Donovan could be her ticket to success. Than they ended up having sex. She knew it was wrong but it had been awhile since she had sex. She knew they were about to embark on a six month work project together. Hooking up on the first date was the worst choice ever. Melissa had promised good contestants. Even though technically after she had three organism - which she had - she had signed over her own hand in marriage. After the meeting and sex Melissa made all things return to business. Donovan found himself almost calling to invite melissa over again. He loved melissa’s style, caught somewhere between boho and studio director. Donovan was getting to know Melissa’s sides and they fascinated him. They were on the last ten choices and they only needed six for the show. Melissa attracted Donovan way more than the contestants. It was week two of filming and things were going well on set. At home Melissa was a mess. Melissa found out she was pregnant yet they’d used protection. She already had a problem with jealousy with Donovan wooing the woman contestants. The pregnancy itself wasn’t bad, it was something she’d always wanted, but the situation itself left something to be desired. Than Melissa had to prep Donovan as they were enough into filmt ‘sexy time’ or Donovan hooking up. Donovan was spying on Melissa and heard her talking and she was pregnant. Was it his ? Than Melissa asked him if he was spying on her and he said he was worried about her and than he asked if it was his and she said yes. Than Donovan said eh would be there for his child. He was even excited. Than Melissa said she needed to defer to frank she was too close and now pregnant. Than donovan said eh helped and was there when she called Frank. Frank said he thought that this could be a gold mine. He also added that as far as he could see she had a couple of options as the producer. Either she gets on the show herself or she quietly excuses herself from production. Frank thought the only way the pregnancy was going to fly if it was out in the open She can’t be on the sidelines carrying Donovan’s child. It’s not going to stay quiet. Than Melissa was sniffing but agreed to be on the show. He told her to take the time to figure out how to break the news and incorporate the new aspect. Frank also said he’d be around if she needed him. Than Melissa and two cameramen were filming everything. Every part of her burned with discomfort This was an intrusion but the best course of action. Because she didn’t have a partner and she needed her job. Melissa needed to stay as far away from the limelight as she could. Or she’d go under. Melissa was ten weeks pregnant when the first three episodes of the show were aired to an early screening test audience. They loved the show but they wanted to see more of melissa. The audience was happy for the change. And there’s nothing more dramatic than the baby mama in the midst of searching for a wife. Than Frank suggested she get in front of the camera.
I loved this book. It was a fun, easy light read with just the right amount of angst. I loved Melissa and Donovan together and how they interacted. I was glad how DFonovan reacted on the reality show. I was surprised when Donovan was willing to pay a lot of money to get out of the show. I loved how close donovan and his two best friends were. I didn’t care they bet on who would find a wife and get married first but it was a huge factor to me. Without the bet no Donovan and Melissa. I didn’t want to put this down. This had me from page one until the last page of the book. Another new favorite. I chuckled at times while reading this. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend it.

The Billionaire's Pregnant Fling is a sweet, friends-to-lovers romance. I was excited to read Eddie's story when I first read about him in his brother Sam's story The Billionaire's Ex-Wife, and he didn't disappoint. Here in his own story, he does some growing up and some character growth once he finds out he's going to be a father with his long-time friend and most recent hook-up, Margot.

When Eddie sees Margo at a bar after their hot one night together, he can't help but go over to talk to her. Imagine his surprise when he finds out that she's not drinking because she's pregnant, BY HIM! But, Eddie steps up to the plate when he and Margot find themselves about to be parents together, and when they realize how they've always felt about each other.

Although The Billionaire's Pregnant Fling is much better than The Billionaire's Ex-Wife, I still had a few problems with it. For one, it's far too short, and another, I didn't like that their one night had already happened, and it wasn't exactly revisited as much as I would have liked. Margot was a little hot and cold for my tastes, but she ultimately was a likable character. It's Eddie, though, who's the real star here, and the reason I didn't rate this lower.

I'm glad Eddie got his story, and that he had some character growth, and now I'm looking forward to William's story (The Billionaire's Sexy Rival).

North presents a romance with the couple being the conflict they have to overcome. Eddie Jameson and his brothers run a successful marketing agency. This series follows their romantic endeavors. Eddie is the youngest brother who grew up with Margot Dale. One night of unprotected sex leads they to collide in a way that will forever connect their lives. Quick easy going read. This was another good story by Leslie North. I haven't yet read a book by Leslie that I didn't like. This was a fun book. Eddie was a player who knocked up a girl he had liked since they were kids. When she sees him in a bar and tells him the news, he goes into over protective mode and gets uber responsible. She just wants the old Eddie back. I loved the naked yoga scene. Both of them work too hard and get over tired and stressed out. He forgets an important appt and she flips out. They finally work it out. I would have liked to have a birth scene. It would have been hilarious. Eddie is going to make a great daddie. I got this book from NetGalley for an honest review

ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
This was a fast paced charming story.
The playboy Eddie Jameson gets the news that he is going to be a father.
He is totally shocked, but then he recovers.
He totally wants to be part of his child's life.
Now, operation woo the baby's mother is in effect.
Eddie was a charmer, and I do think that he went a little overboard on the wooing.
Margot wants to keep the child.
She is overwhelmed by Eddie's attention.
She wants the relationship to work.
Eddie just have to dial down a bit.
Very charming story.

Margot and Eddie have known each other from childhood, cared about each other maybe loved each other. One thing is certain, Eddie has wanted more from Margot most of their adult lives but his reputation has held them back. Now he’s proving to his family that he’s a changed man who can focus on business, be an important part of their business. Yet what harm can one night, one amazing night with the woman he’s desired for years do? Actually, quite a bit.

I enjoyed The Billionaire’s Pregnant Fling yet there were times when I wished I understood them a bit more. Margot seemed to be a confident, sure of herself woman but at times she seemed unsure of what she wanted in this situation. An unexpected pregnancy, making that connection with a man you’ve been attracted to for years and a totally interfering and meddling set of families could make anyone uncertain of what they’re doing in reality.

Following their journey as Eddie and Margot separated business from family to what they wanted for themselves was at times frustrating and heartbreaking. Eddie wanted Margot and their baby, he didn’t need pressured by her father. So, yeah, there were times when I wished that everyone else would just step aside and let this couple work out their own future for themselves. Overall, I had a good time with The Billionaire’s Pregnant Fling and would recommend it and the series to any Romance reader.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

Jameson Brothers: The Complete Series; The Billionaire’s Audio Box Set by USA Today Bestselling Author Leslie North. (The Billionaire’s Ex-Wife #1, The Billionaire’s Pregnant Fling #2, and The Billionaire’s Sexy Rival)

This is the first audio book I’ve heard with multiple narrators and it really does make a difference for me, having heard a male narrator trying to play the role of a female character doesn’t have the desired effect. I really, truly enjoyed “reading” the audio version as an added boon to an already amazing story!

Trinity is a character I can relate with, she is a strong, independent woman - her and Sam honestly make a cute couple. As they are made to work together, after having divorced about a year prior, the feelings they once had start to come back. Not everyone gets a second chance at true love and it’s refreshing to witness them each compromising and making an effort to get it right this time. Eddie is hilarious and North did well making him the black sheep of the family. The Jameson brothers are a bit uptight so Eddie’s personality is a breath of fresh air! The steamy bedroom scenes in all three volumes of this box set will melt your reading device but they are so worth it!

Each story in the trilogy can be read as a stand-alone. The cameo appearances by the family members just make it that much more delightful, but it’s not as though you have to read them in order. North is an amazing story-teller. There are no gaps in the story, it all flows exceptionally well, her unique voice strongly conveying her presence. This well-written, facetious box set held my attention from beginning to end and I do believe I’ve found my new one-click author!

4 - 4 1/2 stars!

The Billionaire's Pregnant Fling is the second book in the exciting Jameson Brothers series by bestselling author Leslie North. This was a fantastic story full of humor, steamy sexual encounters, family drama, secrets, and some surprise twists. Another terrific book by North, and was a great addition to this outstanding series.

Eddie was the irresponsible playboy, never taking life seriously, but is now trying to act more responsible, mature, thinking about his actions and how they'll affect others, as well as the business, and wanting to be the man that Margot deserves. Margot on the other hand was always the responsible one, but is now living her life day to day, making the most out of every situation, and just wants to live a carefree life. However, what they finally realize is that they just need the other to be themselves, the one they fell love with.

If y haven't read this series, I suggest that you start from the beginning. You'll get to read fantastic stories, learn about each couple, and the dynamics of the family. You won't be disappointed.
I strongly recommend this book, series, and terrific author.

Eddie Jameson, he is so easy to fall in love with. As children, Margot and Eddie were friends, always together, and always looking out for each other. Now as adults, the two are still close, so close that a one night stand filled with lust and passion ties them together forever! I love Leslie North's writing, she always captures my attention and keeps the story interesting. This friends to lovers trope is fun, couples with a history creates a depth and gives more insight to their feelings and personalities. I love Eddie, there is something about him that is very appealing. His need for approval does have him overbooked and a little crazed, but he does his best to navigate everything. Margot is a little more emotional, chalk it up to pregnancy hormones, but her indecisiveness at times is trying. The two have great chemistry, and throughout the story, it is easy to feel their connection is not just lust, not just a baby but much deeper. This is a feel good story.

The wonderful duet narration is by Marcio Catalano and Veronica Pace. We even get a little singing by Marcio! This is my first narration by them together and I found their voices complimented each other beautifully. They have similar paces and the story easily flowed between them. Looking forward to more by this team.

A bit different from other surprise pregnancy second chance romances I've read. Margot was Eddie's childhood friend. When they finally came together Eddie never really thought about it going further than a one night stand. He was clueless about all the normal things someone usually thinks about like expectations and repercussions. Centered in the here and now as is his past trademark. Margot is trying to emulate Eddie and take everything one thing at a time, totally unlike her typical self.

This is a true romance story. As Eddie and Margot walk through everything they realize they are in love with each other. How they go about it makes for a wonderful story.

For a family series we don't see much family in this story.

The two narrators do a terrific job portraying these two and their journey.

Highly entertaining, emotionally thrilling, sweetly sensual and thoroughly engaging romantic journey for this adorable couple that have known each other forever but just got a whole lot closer.

Loved Eddie Jameson in the first story and just could not get enough of his sweetly caring huge heart. He finally is getting the approval of both his brothers in business only to have a slight set back by having a one night stand with their biggest clients daughter. Margot Dale is sweet, sassy and a independent working woman with a unexpected surprise from a recent one night stand with the man she grew up with and has always loved. Loved getting a glimpse of the Jameson brothers childhood through this story. Looking forward to the next to fall.

This is another novel from Leslie where you get to read a lot of hot intimate scenes and sizzling encounters. Eddie Jameson had a one night stand with Margot dale and gets her pregnant. Due to family pressure and his own nagging conscience, he decides to do the honorable thing that is to marry Margot. But Margot is not ready for a compromise. She wants everything or nothing, so she resists his proposal. Hence, follows many hot sex sces, cajoling and then the happily ever after. Though the book has all the spices but lacks the depth of characters and emotions. The plotline could have been stronger and better than mere lust based. Overall i found it just an okay read. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Eddie Jameson has been working on his reputation so he can have a part in his family's advertising agency. He has been known as the life of the party until now. He meets his old friend Margot Dale at a party and the sparks fly. When they meet weeks later at a party, Margot tells Eddie that she is pregnant. As Eddie's life shifts, can Margot and Eddie face their attraction and have a family together?

I absolutely love Eddie! The connection between Eddie and Margot make this book sparkle. It was such a fun friends to lovers book.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Relay Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I did not read the first book so missed the beginning of this couple's story. I found that a little odd that their hook up happened in a different book. So this starts out on an odd feeling like you missed something. I found it to be an okay book. It had a lot of cute moments but I just couldn't relate. I give it a 3.5 rating. I think many will enjoy this but you might want to read them in order.

Eddie is the troublemaker brother. He's the one content to not "adult" right up until he finds out that Margot is pregnant. Eddie has a secret. Margot has always meant more to him than he let on, but the situation is complicated by the business relationship with Margot's father. Will all of it be enough for this leopard to change his spots?

This is a quick and enjoyable read. If I had any criticism, it was that for some reason I didn't entirely invest in the characters though I can't pin down why exactly.

I love Eddie and his easy going nature. He seems like such a fun guy. I also love how sweet and thoughtful he can be. Eddie getting a chance with Margot after he'd watched her since they were little is so adorable. I really enjoyed these two getting their happily ever after. Veronica did a great narration on the female side and I loved Marcio when he did his Eddie because it just seemed so relaxing and fun to listen to.

This story ended up being a DNF romance for me. I got to 30 % in the book and found it just too hard to read. It was all over the place and not gelling together. The MC didnt connect and the plot did not make sense.--I felt nothing between the two main characters. I was bored with them..I couldnt even finish reading this book., Not to say this author isnt good but this was not their best work.

A really lovely story about best friends since nappies finally finding their home in each other. I loved the unexpected start of this story and how it just dropped you straight into the middle of it. Very enjoyable.
