Excitement, intrigue, and action are afoot with a stolen chemical, a missing man, a secret organization, and a twelve year old boy who has strange abilities that might be the answer to solving a mystery.
When the Orion Group is hired to find Genesis—a chemical with potentially world-altering properties—they conscript the help of Dillon Hunt, who has abilities that even he doesn't understand. The problem for Dillon is that he doesn't even know he's in their service until it's almost too late.
I think I randomly found this book online, as a free download. I am happy that I clicked the download button, because it turned out to be a great adventure novel. Any books that has an element of mystery, to the degree that this book does, will compel the reader to continue reading.
This book is the first self published book by a friend of ours. I found it well written and very exciting during the chase scenes and the fighting scenes. It is about a 12 year old boy, Dillon, who is very observant and seems to be able to find things and to figure things out. He is contacted by the Orion Group who need help to find a missing man and to solve a mystery at the Desert Oasis Resort. Dillon is a very interesting character. He imagines adventures which he acts out with his friends and with his dog and sometimes he has adventures in his dreams. But the main focus of the book is his real life adventures at the Desert Oasis Resort. In my mind, it is more of a YA book but it was a pleasure to read and I would recommend it.
This was a very exciting adventure book. It reminded me of what a Young Indiana Jones would have been like. It is a good read for all ages and I would recommend it to everyone.
