This box set is absolutely a must have. As always well written stories with a great storylines and plots. It contains amazing stories that has a lot of chemistry and passion in them. If you enjoy romances that offer plenty of sizzling heat, dirty naughtiness and a taboo edge you can not go wrong with this very entertaining and enjoyable collection.

An enjoyable read with Shifters and mates and trouble around every corner. Nothing will keep these mates apart except miscommunication.

The pages kept turning because I wanted to know what happened.

i read this box set as part of an arc program. This set includes the books Sawyer's Mate, Elijah's Mate, Wyatt's Mate and Alex's Mate. Each book is about the ranger who finds his fated mate in the town of Big Bend.

Sawyer's Mate- Sawyer is the alpha of his small clan and a ranger. Sawyer is getting ready for two grad students who are working in the park on a dig in hopes of finding fossils. Madelyn is a student and hopes to make a discovery during the dig so she can finish her thesis. When her partner shows up, she was expecting another woman, but it was a man named Julian. Julian is a spoiled, rich jerk who thinks he is going to find a dinosaur and become even more famous. He also flirts continuously with Madelyn. Madelyn asked him not to flirt with her, but he continues. Sawyer is a bear shifter and when he first sees Madelyn, he has a connection to her. His bear noticed her right away and he wants to be with her. Madelyn is attracted to Sawyer, but she doesn't want to get involved with him because she wants to focus on her studies. Sawyer asks Madelyn if he can show her around the park and tells her it will be related to her studies, so she agrees. The more time they spend together, the stronger their connection. Sawyer knows Madelyn is leaving in a few months and tells her he wants to be with her for however long he can be. Madelyn has feelings for Sawyer, but she also knows she has to stick to her plan and then after she graduates, she will have time for love then. When Madelyn makes a discovery that could change things for a lot of people, she knows she has to hide her findings. Madelyn also realizes she has to end things with Sawyer to protect her heart. I really liked this book, Madelyn has secrets of her own and i think when she realizes life can change plans, she knows what she wants. Sawyer was a good guy and he didn't want to pressure Madelyn, but he also knew he loved her and wanted to be with her.

Elijah's Mate - Valentina is a bear shifter who lost her father recently and wants to take his place on the firefighting team Los Osos Demonios. Valentina lives in a small border village and the team frequently assists the rangers of Big Bend Park. When Elijah meeets Valentina, he is shocked at the instant attraction he feels toward her. Elijah is a ranger and a bear shifter also. When he asks Valentina to meet him to take a tour of the park, they agree to meet in bear form and they enjoy a magical night. Both Elijah and Valentina realize they are fated mates and want to be together. Unfortunately, a coyote shifter named Javier, who is the leader of a local gang, notices Valentina getting close to Elijah and thinks the ranger is going to interfere with his drug trade, so he threatens Valentina and her family to get her to cut off contact with Elijah. I liked this book, there was a great connection between Elijah and Valentina and i think they were great together. I love how Elijah never gave up and tried everything to get back to Valentina. There was danger with Javier and his gang that made them even more determined to find a way to be together.

Wyatt's Mate - Wyatt and Glory are reunited after being apart for eight years. Wyatt and Glory dated in high school and knew each other their whole lives. When their fathers got into a feud, they were forced to cut all contact when Glory and her family moved away. Now Glory is returning to Big Bend for a friend's wedding and she sees Wyatt while she was camping with the bride. Wyatt is stunned when he sees Glory and regrets not asking her for her number. Glory decides to talk to Wyatt before she leaves to go home and they both realize they still have strong feelings for each other. When Glory learns the new alpha of her clan is into shady dealings, her cousin asks her to take over as alpha because Glory's father was the alpha until he left town and Glory is next in line. When Glory's uncle is murdered, Wyatt fears Glory could be in danger also.

Alex's Mate - Alex is the only bear shifter in his pack that hasn't found his mate and he really wants to settle down and have his family. Alex is a ranger and uses data he collects to run the numbers to find the most logical answers. Alex has run the numbers and thinks he should have found his mate years ago. When Alex is asked to plan a new trail through the park, he has it all done when Sawyer, his alpha tells him he is going to be paired with another shifter to add a motorcycle trail to the plan. Roxy is a wolf shifter and another ranger, she also loves her motorcycle. Roxy has been a loner since her boyfriend ran off with her best friend, causing her heartbreak. Roxy is trying to find something to care about and when she meets Alex, she thinks he is nerd who can never understand what she wants included in the new plan. They fight about everything and Alex doesn't want to work with her. When Alex meets Roxy, he is drawn to her and he is determined to fight against his attraction to her. Roxy has found new friends with a group of female bikers named the She Devils and has been causing trouble around town. When Roxy is asked by the leader to help her see a group of endangered bats that could really harm the park, Roxy doesn't know what to do.

I really enjoyed this series. I love reading about how each bear found his fated mate. The books were well written and had unique stories. Great set.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this series.
Sawyer’s Mate
was about a human female Paleontologist (Studies old Bones fossils) and her fated mate a werebear Park Ranger. This book had it all adventure suspense even attempted murder of heroine of which of course her mate came running to save the day .thats all I’m going to tell you about this book except a certain event in thier lives is mentioned in later books. Want to know more READ the series.
Elijah’s Mate was about a rancher clan of bears just across the Rio Grand they lived in a tiny village that was being controlled by a coyote shifter clan that was as evil and ruthless and mean as a riled up rattle snake. This tiny village also boasted a firemen crew experienced in fighting fires especially forest fires. One of the fire fighters was murdered by the evil coyote Alpha and to honor her father his youngest daughter takes his place on the crew they are called to a park fire that’s got out of control on the States side of the border where she meets her fated mate a werebear who is also a park ranger. This book has blackmail,bullying, suspense, attempted murder of the heroines Family and of course with the best possible timing the hero our werebear ranger comes running to the rescue it also has a little package surprise. Want to know more I suggest you read the book.
Wyatt’s Mate
is about two young teenagers love being torm apart because of thier families fueding. 8 yrs later they meet again accidentally. They are both shifters that are park rangers however they work at parks in different states. This book contains two murders and yes suspense, it also has an attempted murder of our heroine and our hero comes running to the rescue. Want more read the book.
Elijah’s Mate
this book is about a quiet studious somewhat nerdy bear shifter who also is a park ranger. He thinks he’s missed his chance to find his fated mate, then he meets a wolf shifter also a park ranger who rides a motorcycle and they are given no choice but to work together on a special project for the park and they can’t stand each other . She seems the exact opposite to him, Loud, obnoxious, selfish, inconsiderate, and yet they are physically attracted to one another. She gets involved in a gang that’s bad news, this causes her to have a minor sexual harassment that could have ended bad for our heroine but hero ranger bear was on hand and to the rescue. She and the bear rangers protect a colony of protected endangered bats from the gang and she gets hurt. Her hero is there to save her life and save the day.
This entire series is full of romance, suspense, danger and true fated love.
Read the series,if you are looking for entertainment and reading enjoyment it’s well worth your time.

Here is a fantastic collection of four bear shifter stories written by the best selling author, Meg Ripley. They are full of engaging and alpha male bear shifters that may very well make you swoon! They are well written with interesting and unique storylines and HEA with no cheating. The stories included are :-
Sawyer’s Mate - Madelyn has finished her Master's thesis on palaeontology and is now at Big Bend National Park and it's there that she meets the gorgeous Ranger, Sawyer, who will help her with her dig. Now Sawyer is so much more than she expects and he has been waiting for his mate for so long that it's almost as if he has given up all hope. But then Madelyn is before him and the sizzling chemistry between them cannot be mistaken by him as anything less than the fated mate bond. How's he going to explain it to her and will she be receptive?
Elijah’s Mate - Have your hankies at hand as you're going to need them in this latest story by the brilliant paranormal author. Meg Ripley. This is another one of her bear shifting stories , my personal favourites, and it has such terrific characters in the form of Valentina and Elijah that you will come to love so easily. They are both bear shifters and they meet in tragic circumstances when her father dies.
Wyatt’s Mate - In this one, Wyatt and Glory were childhood sweethearts but they were parted and they never saw each other for years due to a family squabble.But now she's back, initially, for her friend's wedding but when she is warned off by a creep from her school years after his amorous attempt failed, and her cousin pleading for help whilst also warning her to be careful. Glory is now in line for the Alpha position of the fox shifters but the current alpha is dangerous and a criminal [his side kick is too].
Alex’s Mate - , Alex's Mate, in particular is my favourite of the collection. Very well written and with great storylines. The characters, Alex and Roxy, in particular for this book are exceptionally well developed. I loved how Alex was considered to be a nerd - so much so that he'd actually calculated that he should have already met his mate years ago! Roxy is very different from him - in fact she seems almost the polar opposite of him. She's not about routine and following rules, she doesn't need a man anymore after all she put up with her ex. But she and Alex are paired together, so they're just going to have to establish how they're going to work together.
All fabulous stories that I really enjoyed re-reading.

This series is an entertaining, enjoyable read with characters you will be rooting for, booing against and will give you all the feels that only fated mates can Below I have reviewed each of the books.

Sawyer's Mate
In this first book in the series, Madelyn, a Master's student at Harvard, has moved to Big Bend, Texas to dig for fossils. She was supposed to be matched up with another female but instead gets an arrogant jerk, Julian, as a digging partner. On the first day she meets Sawyer, the Ranger that will be assisting them on the dig. Sawyer and Madelyn immediately feel pulled towards each other even though they know their time together is temporary. I loved Sawyer. He was so sweet and supportive and wanted to be with Madelyn forever. Madelyn was a strong female character but had a constant battle between her head and her heart. The story will have you pulling for them and have you smiling at their HEA.

Elijah's Mate
Elijah is in charge of the fire fighting in Big Bend. He meets Valentina when the crew she is on from Mexico assists on a fire, he knows she is his fated mate. Valentina has taken her father's place on the fire crew after his death. A gang of fox shifters are to blame and have control of the town where she lives. After a night together, the gang leader forbids her from having any contact with Elijah and threatens her family if she does. What happens when the fated lovers are separated and what must happen so they have a chance for a HEA is a heartbreaking, dangerous journey.
Wyatt's Mate
Wyatt and Glory were childhood sweethearts until their families got into a feud. Glory's family moved away and they weren't allowed to contact each other. Eight years later, Glory is back in town to attend a wedding and they meet up again. As sparks fly, danger is everywhere and there is still the issue of the feud. I loved Wyatt and Glory. They really were meant to be together. Their love for one another was so strong they weren't going to miss out on their second chance. I enjoyed the banter between the two of them; how Glory was so capable, caring and courageous and pretty much everything about Wyatt. No one deserves their HEA more than these two.

Alex's Mate
Take one nerdy bear, throw in a motorcycle riding wolf, mix and watch the sparks fly. I LOVED the interactions between Alex and Roxy. He was all statistics and she was all about flying by the seat of her pants. She isn't close to her pack because of her ex and best friend running off together, wants to find a place to belong and a female MC seems to be an option for her. The events that transpire will test personal values, loyalties, protection of endangered species. Their HEA is sweet, cute and well deserved.

The Werebears of Big Bend is a set of four stories about four bear shifters who work as park rangers at Big Bend National Park. All the stories are great but I’d have to say Alex is my favorite.

Sawyer’s Mate
Sawyer is a ranger and the alpha of his bear clan at Big Bend Park in Texas, who finds himself in charge of a pair of paleontology grad students in the park for a dig. Madelyn is completely focused on finishing her thesis and wants no distractions, but can’t ignore Sawyer. There’s romance, danger and several surprises in this totally satisfying story.

Elijah’s Mate
Elijah is the Fire Management Ranger at Big Bend Park and part of the bear clan there. Valentina lives across the border in a small Mexican village and just joined their fire fighting team, Los Osos Demonios. She replaced her father who died while doing a job for the drug running coyote gang who rules their village through threats and intimidation. When Elijah and Valentina meet face to face they discover they are fated mates. Through danger and adversity the two work to be together with the help of family and clan.

Wyatt’s Mate
Together since childhood, Wyatt and Glory were separated at 16 when their parents had a falling out and Glory moved away. Now back in Big Bend after eight years all the old feelings come back when she sees Wyatt. Their reunion gets complicated when members of Glory’s old fox clan start being murdered and Wyatt and the other rangers look into it. The rekindled romance between Wyatt and Glory was sweet and the murder mystery was exciting.

Alex’s Mate
Alex thinks he missed his fated mate. According to the data he put together he should have met her four years ago and now he’s the last single bear his age in the clan. Roxy just wants to be left alone since her boyfriend and her best friend ran off together. The rest of the wolves have tried but she can’t connect with anyone. She gets involved with the She Devils bikers for a sense of fun and belonging but soon discovers that they don’t have the same priorities.
When Alex and Roxy are assigned to work together at Big Bend National Park they can’t agree on a single thing. They also both can’t understand the draw they feel towards each other. As they spend more time together and realize that they have some important things in common they learn to use their differences to help the park. Roxy is impetuous and prickly but good hearted and Alex is absolutely adorable with his numbers and statistics and hot nerd persona. I voluntarily reviewed this book.

Sawyer-
Madelyn comes to Bid Bend for a semester of college. There's been a mix-up with her project partner, but she figures she'll do her best to make it work. Sawyer manages a ranger station at the park. There are immediate sparks when he and Madelyn meet. Her head says no to anything love-related until she's finished with her education and she goes home to New Hampshire. Her heart says something else.

Elijah-
Valentina lost her father recently, and goes to work with his firefighting team. They frequently work with the Big Bend rangers. She and Elijah have great chemistry, and realize that they're meant to be together. A coyote shifter/drug runner tries to come between them to project his drug territory.

Wyatt-
Wyatt and Glory were young and in love, when a feud between their families tore them apart. They were not permitted any sort of contact, and eventually lost track of each other. She went back to Texas for her best friend's wedding, and their paths cross. There's a good bit of action and suspense surrounding the murders of several shifters from her clan.

Alex-
Roxy and Alex are not happy about being paired together on a project in their park. She thinks he's a nerd - he says he's cautious - so she decides to hang out with the cool girls.Turns out her new friends are into things that go beyond "breaking the rules" and into "breaking the law". Alex's clan members have been finding their mates, and he's trying to find his as well. Once he and Roxy begin to trust each other, they work together to thwart a plan by her "friends" that would have a devastating effect on the park's wildlife. And then realize just how much they mean to each other.

All of these couples seem like they are completely meant for each other. They men are friends, and so accepting of mates coming to their clan. Everyone has a HEA in this book series, and I enjoyed all of the books.

Sawyer's Mate, - Sawyer is a bear shifter who is ready to settle down and raise a family now that he is Alpha. He meets Madelyn and soon realises that she is his mate, only problem is, she doesn’t plan to stay!
Madelyn has a promising career in palaeontology, she just needs to uncover something worthwhile on her dig and finish her thesis. She is determined not to be side-tracked by a romance.
Her partner in the dig, a self-important twit, keeps hitting on her and won’t take a hint. When she uncovers remains that need to stay hidden, she turns to Sawyer and his brother for help.
I loved this story and fell in love with Sawyer, he’s lovely. Madelyn is a strong character who has tried to map out her life, but she always goes wrong when she follows her head instead of her heart.
Elijah's Mate, - Meeting her fated mate should have been a gift from heaven except, Javier a drug Lord and coyote shifter has his sights set on Valentina and has a powerful hold on her village.
Elijah cannot understand why Valentina wont reply to his texts or answer the phone after their amazing night together. His mind goes in different directions trying to solve this matter.
The bond between them is strong after their one date and when he feels she is in danger nothing will stop him from finding her.
This was a great tale about finding each other but being separated by borders and a coyote clan that has power of life and death. Elijah is a thoughtful bear shifter who sometimes over thinks things.
Wyatt's Mate - At the age of 16 they were torn from each other and told they were too young. Now she is back for her best friend’s wedding and when they see each other they are once again drawn to each other. Old lies must be uncovered, and a betrayer needs to be stopped. Before long the killer sets his sights on and Wyatt has to race against time to keep her safe.
This is a great love story with plenty of action mixed in.
and Alex's Mate. - Roxy is a motorbike riding wolf shifter with attitude. After her ex ran off with her best friend, she has been distancing herself from her clan and seeking out a chick’s only biker gang who like nothing better than having fun and getting away with breaking the rules and the law.
Alex is a bear shifter nerd who always runs numbers to make decisions. He sticks to the letter of the rules and the law.
They are both Rangers and are nominated to work together on a new bike route through the park. They clash right from the start and cannot stand each other, whilst being drawn to each other. When Alex gets caught up in a bad decision and sees that some decisions have consequences, she did not intent, she turns to Alex for help.
Roxy comes across as a spoilt child at times and you could just shake her! Alex is a lovable nerd who irritates people, but they love him anyway. I really enjoyed reading about their journey and the problems they had to overcome to understand each other better.
This is a fantastic shifter romance series, I loved reading about all their journeys and fell in love with each one.

Bears and wolves and foxes and mayhem

Interesting tales of a few shifter males finding their mates. Each brief story was focused on one man finding his mate.
This was a series, set in smalltown Texas.
Each story seemed to be shorter than the previous ones.
Several editing errors distracted from the story lines.

This is a series of four books. They are complete stories but intertwined with each other. There are two brothers, Sawyer and Wyatt and two friends, Elijah and Alex, who are all Park Rangers in Big Bend. These are the stories of finding their fated mates and the obstacles they face. I really enjoyed reading this box set.

Monster erotica is not my favorite genre, i'm sorry i don't like shapeshifter romance novels made to satisfy lonely mothers or desperate men just wanting to satisfy their fetish. Maybe if they're into weight gain and likely can imagine the werebear being a fat man I can see this being a thing.

**** Reviewing “ALEX’s MATE” ****
Alex and Roxy are two shifters who are total and complete opposites. Selected to work together in their ranger role to create a new trail through the park, they can’t stop bickering long enough to make any progress. Alex had already finished the bicycle trail plan which now had to be modified to include a motorcycle trail in order to accommodate Roxy’s preferences. Alex is a bear shifter and a nerd who follows rules to the letter. Roxy is a wolf-shifter whose break up with a cheating ex has left her less than thrilled with all men. For excitement, she rides with a female biker group who likes to get into a bit of trouble, which is not a good idea for a ranger.

While Alex starts to feel an attraction for the rowdy wolf, Roxy is driven crazy by the rule-following bear whose number-crunching and statistics make no sense to her. Will the two of them pay attention to their shifter half and chance a relationship that might lead to a HEA? Or are they too different to agree on anything at all? When trouble comes, will it bring them together or tear them apart?

**** Reviewing “ELIJAH’s MATE” ****
Valentina is in mourning for her fire-fighter father who was killed because of Javier, a coyote shifter and drug runner. To honor her father, Valentina joins his fire crew, Los Osos Demonios, in her small Mexican village. Across the border is Big Bend Park where Elijah is a fire management ranger and a member of his bear shifter clan.

When Elijah and Valentina meet, they recognize that they are fated mates. As such, they have instant chemistry together – but this also puts them in great danger from the coyote clan Alpha, Javier, who will threaten and intimidate to keep everyone under his control. He wants Valentina to stay away from Elijah, despite their strong attraction. The only way for them to be together would require they go up against the Los Aulladores coyote clan, endangering the lives of Valentina’s family. Would Elijah be willing to fight for her? Can they have a future together?

I really enjoyed these book in this collection! The female characters are usually strong, likable women not afraid to do the right thing, even if it puts them at risk. The male characters are strong, protective, and admirable. The author does a great job of pulling the reader into the well-paced stories right through to the end.

Each ranger has issues and a fated mate comes along and they have to face obstacles to get their happily ever after. I highly recommend this book series.
