Booty Call is my first read by Ainsley Booth. From the blurb, I expected it to be a little taboo and a lot steamy. I wasn’t disappointed. This was a shorter read and it had a lot of sexy, but it also had a story that I enjoyed.
Ali is a serious college student. She has some hang-ups with crazy things that have gone on in her family. Partially for those reasons, she is a twenty year old virgin. And she’s got it bad for her older sister’s body-guard, Scott. Scott is 34. He is insanely attracted to Ali, but doesn’t feel right about pursuing her. She is younger and more innocent. The thing is, Scott doesn’t have to worry about pursing Ali. She is definitely the purser in this relationship.
When these two end up in the same city, they grow closer. Eventually, Ali wears Scott down and on top of being friends, they become each others booty call. It’s supposed to be just sex. Nothing more. But when they both start to feel more than just sex, they have to reevaluate what they really want…
This is a quick read that is full of steam. It’s a fun story and has it’s sweet moments, along with a tad bit of angst. Just the book I needed between some of the more emotional books I’ve read lately!

I have to preface my review by advising you all to not judge the book by its Title. I know the name sounds all kinds of cheesy and raunchy, but just like the previous series, which was titled HATE F*CK, there’s an actual story and the characters are lovable. I promise there isn’t any beyond moronic dialog in this one, like some of the books out there by a particular author that shall not be named in my review. I really was pretty much hooked from the beginning and anxious to see how it was all going to end for Scott and Alison.
Alison Reid is the younger sister of the heroine from the Hate F*ck series, Hailey. Scott Mayfair was one of Hailey’s bodyguards from the Horus Group. They’ve been harboring an attraction for each other and neither one of them has acted on their feelings. Alison is not a believer in love and isn’t looking for a relationship. Her dysfunctional family pretty much convinced her that love doesn’t exist and that she is destined to live her life never knowing what it means to be truly loved.
Scott is about fourteen years older than Alison and thinks that is just too big of an age difference. He also believes Alison deserves better than him, and that if they were to ever give in to their attraction to each other, that he would eventually end up breaking her heart. So when Alison decides to go after the man she has wanted for the past year, he is not readily opening his arms to her. Scott uses all the inner strength he can gather to fight off Alison’s advances. As time goes on, he will realize that his resolve isn’t that strong and when Alison offers him a “no strings” arrangement, it’s going to be pretty much impossible for him to refuse.
Their chemistry is ridiculously HOT!!!! These two like to dirty talk and the sex is beyond explosive!! But what happens when one of them wants more than just a Booty Call and the other refuses to believe that this thing that they’ve been playing at has turned into a once in a lifetime, all-consuming love??
If you’re looking for a sexy story, with the right amount of angst thrown in, this one is definitely for you. This can be read as a standalone. If you haven’t read the previous series, you will still be able to follow the story just fine.

► All good things must come to an end, and thankfully all bad ones too. I should probably find the energy to review Booty Call properly, but I honestly don't feel like thinking about it one minute longer. As Kat said, we read it for shit and giggles, but this is so bad that it's not even funny.
"Ali," he growls. "My Ali. Mine. Fucking mine, always."
Let me sum it up : Terrible and cliché writing, unnatural and ridiculous dialogues punctuated by weird phrasings, flat and one-dimensional characters who must have a life somewhere (I suppose, it's not as if I had any clue about what the fuck they're doing with their lives really) and who don't share any chemistry whatsoever, a nonsensical plot (whose climax is an incomprehensible tantrum, woot! Where is the popcorn tell me), and the sex isn't even hot but often awkward and sometimes just plain gross (the shaving tube, the fisting, gah!).
"Come with me." He's pissed, and I should be - I don't know, scared or something - but I'm not, because his hand grabs mine. His fingers wrap around mine. Scott's pulling me toward his car, and I'm probably grinning like an idiot."
► Oh, idiot. Get out of my sight already.
PS. Just so you know : using 36 times the word 'dirty' isn't going to convince me that the story is dirty.

This was Ainsley Booth all the way...
All the way in the Hall, on the Couch, in the Kitchen, on a Counter, and finally a Bedroom...
It can never be said Ms. Booth doesn't know her way around sensual foreplay, dirty, dirty play, and ramp-up want. Nope, I would never ever say that.
And never forget...the title is Booty Call....
But what happens when a "booty call" with rules and agreed terms from the start begins to mean more...
How do the participants let the other partner know... how do they feel it out so that they don't lose the connection they are so addicted to...
And if the one who first feels this way is 14 years older than the partner...and is at a loss as to how to handle this overwhelming need for this woman/child...How does he let himself feel when in the past... his experiences of love stomped all over him.
This man knows he is in deep, knows he is in trouble, knows he shouldn't push but knows he wants more...
And our partner... she may be 20 but with the political/society pressures of growing up with heartless, cheating parents... and forging a life away from them; studying at school...planning her escape from the public eye or anything to do with them. This woman is not totally of a mindset of 20. Yet there is the innocence which no amount of Tumbler, YouTube, or Erotic Romance novels can strip...For she has kept her head down all these years in college; has studied nonstop, focused on what was important, and never took advantage of any offers presented to her.
Oh, and there had been offers...as she is beautiful, engaging, and just smart as a whip... no shy flower. But for her....letting herself be vulnerable to another has more pitfalls than just heartbreak...will they sell a story, can she trust them, what is their angle.... these are factors she must consider.
And there is the other problem...her sister's bodyguard...her ever-growing attraction to him...How he is the only one she feels safe with... the only one she feels anything for...and now she is 20. Not a baby by any means... and she has decided he is the one she would trust ... trust to do all the things she has researched but never done...She wants him.
This is the story of Alison and Scott. Both are characters from the serial Hate F*@K. She was the younger sister of the main love interest and Scott was the bodyguard and part of the company which handled all sorts of covert management. This serial is worth the read, trust me... it is smokin' hot with actual plotting. However, to read Booty Call you do not have to read the other books... it only enhances some of the histories of all of the characters in this book.
The main part is the ramp-up to Scott succumbing to his growing need for Alison. These two play a dangerous game of cat and mouse with Alison pursuing Scott.
Yes, she knows he is much older... doesn't care.
Yes, she understands she must protect her heart at all times...
But with Scott, with all the wrongs....it just feels so right... because she feels safe with him.
Alison was understandable most of the time. You could feel her maturity yet there was still the undercurrent of her being just 20. She would try so hard to front a casual stance about it all but in the end... her being 20 had a lot of impact on how she reacted to things.
We experience all of the ups and downs of this arrangement. We see when the lines are being crossed in each heart through POVs... but neither of them says anything out loud...This causes a rift that has more to do with a combination of age, hers, and the type of business and career Scott has been in. It is a fine line to know what to reveal in a so-called "Booty Call" arrangement...
The power of this book was in the ramp-up, the tease, and the coupling - the coupling was off the charts....and I rather liked Scott... I felt for him as he was in a quandary...Here he was 35; felt for this girl of 20... yet she was an old soul in so many ways due to her effed up parents and position in the world. He had a huge task in managing his feelings, thinking he was doing what she wanted and yet not feeling like she was just using him...
Because that is what a Booty Call can become in a heartbeat... when one of the players starts to feel.
What obstacles these two had seemed to make them stronger together and that is always a win-win for me.
There are more books coming with our nerd/hot man Wilson... he is obsessed with someone he can't stop watching....and I want to know who she is...Don't You...I have it on good authority his book will be coming out in the summer.

4 'Not Only a Booty Call' Stars!
After reading Hate F*@k, I really needed to read this one too! I am really loving Ainsley Booth's writing and her characters, especially the heroes! I have to say, I loved the first book in the series more but still really enjoyed the development of Scott and Ali's relationship.
As I previously mentioned, I can't wait to read the other stories about these sexy men of the Horus Group and I am so curious about Jason and Ellie! You want something sexy, with light drama and a hot couple? Check this one out :)

If you have read “Hate F*@k”, you will probably remember Scott. He was the bodyguard/goon that he was trying -mostly unsuccessfully- to protect Hailey. As a result, he only learnt how to knit and he was also introduced to Hailey’s little sister, Alison. Hailey was not very happy about this.
I believe the reason that mainly influenced me in reading Alison and Scott’s story was the way Hailey was thinking:
Oh, shit.
My face heats up as I flick my gaze over to Scott, then back to Alison. My baby sister.
No.
She gives me a look of complete innocence.
Which just means that I’m one hundred percent on the right track.
“Bad idea,” I hiss under my breath.
“Eat your dinner,” she says, her lips turning up in a secret smile.
Oh God. My sister wants to be spanked by my bodyguard. This is unacceptable.
And
I was going to ask her if she wanted to sleep over at my place tonight, but with Scott downstairs, that’s a terrible idea. By the morning she’d probably have baked muffins and wheedled her way into the apartment downstairs on the pretense of kindness. She’d ask to see his security equipment and next thing I’ll know, I’ll be an auntie to tiny wrestler-shaped babies.

Anyway, I was expecting a funny book, when I got Booty Call and what I got in the end was a really funny book!
The way Alison tries to seduce the older and most experienced than her Scott in the beginning was hilarious. The way that Scott resists is hilarious. Before they start their relationship, none of them accepts that it will be something serious – especially Scott. The roles will invert towards the end and Scott will have to grovel a lot to win Alison back.
Some of the details –especially about Scott’s family- are not explained in the book and this gives to the book minus points. But other than that, it was a very much entertaining book.

Booty Call is the short, very hot, story of Alison and her sisters bodyguard, Scott. They've been fighting an attraction for awhile, and Ali is finally tired of running away from her lust for Scott. She doesn't want a relationship,and she doesn't want feelings, all she wants is a hot hookup.
Scott, thinks that Ali is too young for him, fourteen years his junior, and tries to stay away from her. But the more he's around her the more he realizes that she's too hard to resist her, so he stops trying. Their relationship isn't one of love and emotions, it's late night booty calls, and nothing else.
This was a good story and I did enjoy it. I can't lie and say I wasn't disappointed, though. I was expecting this to be a really hot and sexy story, and it just wasn't for me. I liked the characters and what smexy parts we did get, but I wanted more of that chemistry and hotness. Basically, the book had great potential but it fell flat.

Scott is fourteen years older than Ali, but not only that she is the sister of his friend and colleague, so attempts to keep Ali at a safe distance.
There wasn't a huge amount of depth to this story, but if you are looking for something that isn't too long, and that is fun and sexy, then don't hesitate to pick it up.
A decent three stars from me.

This was a nice and easy reading.
After I finished "King" and "Tyrant" I wanted something to relax and forget all the bad stuff that happened there.So "Booty Call" was my choice.
This book was about Scott and Alison who were very attractive to each other but tried to stop that train wreck from happening because there were some issues in the middle like: Scott was Alison's sister bodyguard and 14 years older that her.He tried to be the responsible one,without luck though.
Alison was 20 years old and rich.She was very persistent and throw herself at him in every chance she got.She had a crush on Scott because let's face it he was an ex Navy and a bodyguard with great body and hugedick shoulders.
We all would lust after him, not just poor Alison.
I'm totally fine with Scott knowing that I'm thing about his cock.
They were good together and their chemistry was pretty good.They had some hot and dirty sex,not as much as I thought in the beginning but good enough.They both had issues but nothing soul searching and heavy,that's why they tried to keep it as simple as possible BuT when the feelings get in the way "Hello disaster".
"My concern for you is incredibly personal.My concern about you being out in the middle of the night is about how you get home,who you go home with, and what you do when you get there.The only answers I like to those questions are safely, nobody and nothing."
They had to break up at some point but it was a silly quarrel between lovers and I think Alison kind of overreacted.And Scott was to patient with her for my liking.I mean I knew he loved her and wanted to give her some space but I wanted him to be more domineering.He was possessive and jealous that's why I wanted him to spank her and put some sense in her.Not such luck though!
So everything worked out in the end.

This was a nice and easy reading.
After I finished "King" and "Tyrant" I wanted something to relax and forget all the bad stuff that happened there.So "Booty Call" was my choice.
This book was about Scott and Alison who were very attractive to each other but tried to stop that train wreck from happening because there were some issues in the middle like: Scott was Alison's sister bodyguard and 14 years older that her.He tried to be the responsible one,without luck though.
Alison was 20 years old and rich.She was very persistent and throw herself at him in every chance she got.She had a crush on Scott because let's face it he was an ex Navy and a bodyguard with great body and huge
We all would lust after him, not just poor Alison.
I'm totally fine with Scott knowing that I'm thing about his cock.
They were good together and their chemistry was pretty good.They had some hot and dirty sex,not as much as I thought in the beginning but good enough.They both had issues but nothing soul searching and heavy,that's why they tried to keep it as simple as possible BuT when the feelings get in the way "Hello disaster".
"My concern for you is incredibly personal.My concern about you being out in the middle of the night is about how you get home,who you go home with, and what you do when you get there.The only answers I like to those questions are safely, nobody and nothing."
They had to break up at some point but it was a silly quarrel between lovers and I think Alison kind of overreacted.And Scott was to patient with her for my liking.I mean I knew he loved her and wanted to give her some space but I wanted him to be more domineering.He was possessive and jealous that's why I wanted him to spank her and put some sense in her.Not such luck though!
So everything worked out in the end.

Booty Call was just an okay read for me, the beginning was golden. The sexual tension and the verbal foreplay was so much fun to read, but then when things happened ... it happened! Not to say the sex wasn't off the charts, because it was, it was just everything else that didn't do it for me. No overly complex plot, but there were still issues introduced, with no real history or in the end resolution. Their hang ups were I guess justified, but to me it made me roll my eyes more than anything. The family drama, his past, all talked about and played a big part in their hang ups but it didn't go anywhere from there. The strong hard man turned soft, it was sweet, but I missed the the him he was from the beginning. Oh well, like I said this was a me versus the book. Still great to read if you want a booty call on speed dial and you can ignore the outside noise.

Can I call dibbs on a man that doesn't actually exist!? What the hell, this is my review and I'll do what I want. That means that I've claimed Scott and none of you other bitches can have him. No discussion needed. The end.
I love over the top possessive alpha men, if they're tall, dark, handsome and instantly go into jealous protective mode as well as all that ... well let's just say it makes my seat messy. Scott was perfect. If they sold a life-size sex doll of that man I'd be all over it like acne on a teenager.
And yes okay, I'll grudgingly admit that I liked Ali too. She wasn't a whiny arsed wannabe Barbie doormat. She's strong willed and goes after what she wants.

Overall Opinion: This was a quick, light, and sexy read. I wouldn't go into this looking for anything deep or profound -- but it hit the mark for what it is. I liked the characters ok, it flowed well/I was able to read it quickly, it was low drama, and it was sexy.
Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Alison and Scott's story. They meet because Scott is Alison's sister's bodyguard. They have a strong attraction and are crushing on each other, but Scott remains professional and hesitant because she is significantly younger than him. Eventually he gives in, and they start a physical relationship that turns into something more. There are some really mild family/OW issues, some hot sexy times, and some sweet moments -- and they get a HFN ending
POV: This alternated between Alison and Scott's POV.
Overall Pace of Story: Good. It flowed well, and I never felt the need to skim.
Instalove: No. I'd say it was good development into the love stage.
H rating: 3.5 stars. Scott. He was pretty hot. I didn't like his push/pull thing he had when he was hung up on their age difference. I also didn't like that he kept things from the h.
h rating: 3 stars. Alison. She was determined and worked to get the H...but otherwise she was just meh.
Sadness level: Low. No tissues needed.
Heat level: Moderate/high. They had great chemistry and a lot of scenes, but I wouldn't say that the sex took over the story.

3.5 Booty Call Star!
Character recap for those that read Hate Fuck: Alison is Hailey’s little sister (the youngest of the girls) and Scott works for the Horus Group and was assigned as Hailey’s Bodyguard, that is when Cole’s not around to service her himself.
Just turning twenty, Ali is looking to finally spread her wings but with the dynamic of her crazy family – she wants her wild side to remain more private. Now if only she can convince the much older bodyguard to rid her of her pesky v-card.
Scott is finding it troubling to say no to this little hellcat. He knows that she is far too young for him. But damn it if his body is going to let his head do any of the thinking. The only problem, Ali only wants a booty call and soon Scott finds himself wanting so much more.
I liked this. I did. It just felt like it all went a little quickly. I had little time to gain any major feels for these two as a couple although I did feel a strong pull towards Scott by the end – the story was just a tad too short to really feel that strong connection. In these shorter reads it is hard to balance it all and still deliver a steamy read. The steam and sexy times were fantastic and although I did not feel these two as much as I wanted to, I was able to sort of fill in the missing pieces in my own head as I read it. I just really wished we were given more time for their story to truly unfold.

Tell me, how does one move on from this fantabulous read?! Like, how?!
There I was, about to drown in my own judgy self because OMG-here-comes-another-so-much-older-guy but I have been having such a ball with AB's books that I just couldn't say no to this book. I did like the little preview of the Scott and Ali show in the first book of the series. I just wasn't so sure if I'm ready for another of this plot (because the last one was such a disaster).
But oh, my heart! So much feels!!! *flails about helplessly*
I loved that Scott had the presence of mind to say no to Ali first. I loved that Ali was so forward with what she wanted with Scott--something I can probably only appreciate if it happened in books? I loved that Scott was such a filthy-taking badass. I loved that Ali was still working hard to be a career woman when she could just play hooky with such a hawt, delicious boyfriend. I mean, seriously, these two are just awesome together. Loved, loved, loved them so much!!!
This book was one hell of a smutterific bonanza of a gorgeous read. If I didn't have a book challenge that I need to up this year, I'd re-read this every week. Squeeeeee!

First off, the blurb on this one drew me right in. *fans self* Yeah, it’s totally hot and paints a great picture.
Allison Dashford Reid, 20, is a virgin perfecting the art of seduction. She’s perfecting it on her older sister’s bodyguard, Scott Mayfair, 35. Ali wants to shed her virginity and Scott is exactly the man she has her eyes on for the job.

So this story is a tied to The Horus Group series (now renamed Forbidden Bodyguards series) You don’t have to have read the Hate F*@k serial first, but if you have just know that Allison is Hailey’s younger sister (the innocent one, not the sex tape making one).
But Allison and Scott are complicated. She’s a nose-to-the-book college student from a scandalous political family; he’s led a life of mystery and intrigue, his own family business on the intricate side too.
“I’d love to spank the brat right out of her. Another reason she’s off-limits, because it wouldn’t end with spanking.”
Despite their age difference and their backgrounds that have left them both jaded, they share quite the attraction. And their sexy times are the biggest appeal of the story.
“Before I can say sorry for being a dirty bastard or you’re welcome, maybe, since she’s whispering how good that was, she’s pushing me back into the tub.”
Their intimate encounters are well written—as in steamy and you can feel the sizzle through the page.

Some other aspects of the storytelling didn’t flow as smoothly for me. There’s some time jumps where I wanted to know how or why they got from point A to point B (figuratively speaking), and there’s also the side plot with his career that I found a little confusing at times. I wished their story had been fleshed out a little more because I do think it has a lot to offer and could be much fuller.
Overall I liked both Ali and Scott and I liked them together although they weren’t without their individual flaws. I got a little whiplash trying to figure out what they both really wanted as it seemed to change, sometimes a bit abruptly, and while I realize that Allison was young, I thought she totally overreacted in the climax and behaved immaturely.
Told via Ali and Scott’s alternating first person POV, it’s an entertaining hot little story to enjoy.

Ok read. It would be better if this story was shorter or added some threats/danger in this book considering H's military background.
I didn't get what was the big deal that h needed to h made no sense at all. Moreover, I still didn't know what problem was there in H's family. Nor his background. Shouldn't I got the answer already after finished this book?

For those of you wondering what that means, it is when a couple in book take hold of my heart and just don't let go. Alison and Scott have done just that. However, the reason I stated pretty sure is because if had a taste of Wilson and Tabitha's story in Dirty (which you can find in the anthology Banged: Rock Stars, Bad Boys & Dirty Deeds) and there might be some serious competition for the #mypeople spot. But for now, Alison and Scott have the lead ;)
You can pretty much be assured that when you pick up an Ainsley book, the sexual compatibility between the leads is gonna be explosive. The woman can write sex like no other. Everything I've read by Ainsley so far has been off the charts dirty, gritty and seriously sexy. This was soooooooo much more but also very different. The story of Alison and Scott is a slow burning sexual unwrapping. There really is no WHAM factor to their story, as we are so used to in past books, but there is a #fridiculous WOW factor to the sexuality of the story. Every moment of this journey was layered with sensuality. I deemed it the #sexiestbookEVER for a reason.

Alison and Scott have been dancing around each other for a while. Alison, lacking not only in life experience but sexual experience, didn't have the tools inside of her necessary to be the aggressor and just go for it with Scott. Scott had the experience, especially in life, but he was just stuck with not only their age difference of 15 years, but the fact that Alison was barely out of her teen years at 20 years old. But sooner or later, a boiling pot set on high will over boil ... and holy damn, did Alison and Scott overflow!! *yikes* As I mentioned before, this is a very sexual journey, but it wasn't dirty or gritty or even angsty, it was a happy sigh sexy story. I had such a feeling of contentment when I read this journey. Even when things were rocky, as a reader, I was still happy ... It something everyone should experience so I urge you to one-click this book immediately #TRUST
As a responsible reader and reviewer, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the one tiny flaw I found in the story. Who Alison is, where she comes from, what she's endured, that is all very clear. Even more so if you've followed the Horus Group stories in the past. But even if this is your first read in the series, Alison is very well defined. Unfortunately, Scott wasn't defined as well as I would have wanted. Where he has been, what he has endured, who he is is not well defined. His past is barely skimmed over and it left me wanting. It made me feel like there should have been more. Because the information we are given about his past is kinda life altering type information, but nothing was really developed. It was just sorta put out there. In my opinion, it made Booty Call more a story of Alison and her journey rather than a journey of them both ... (if that makes sense lol) And here's the kicker in all this ... the story was not lacking because of it. I didn't feel shorted or unattached to Scott because of it. I just think it could been bigger ...
If you're looking for a sensually fun sexy read with a young, independent, smart woman and a charismatic, strong older man ... Booty Call WILL deliver #TRUST

-relationship obstacles are a bit nonsensical - called a booty call, yet getting mad at the hero for not sharing his past, is a bit of hypocrisy IMO
I liked it enough. It was alright and passed the time.

Sexy, fun, quick read by Ainsley Booth.
I LOVED Hate F@ck. LOVED IT. I want to read everything by this author after reading Hate F@ck.
This is Scott and Alison's story. Scott is one of the body guards from the Horus Group and Alison is Hailey's little sister.
Hailey is relatively normal, considering her effed up family. She's in college, super smart and doesn't flaunt her wealth. But she's kind of weird about sex. So she's still a virgin. And she's lusting after her sister's body guard.
Scott won't let himself go there. He tries to fight it.
Ha! I love it when they try to fight it.
This book was HOT. Scott and Alison have great chemistry together.
They have booty calls, but then of course it turns into something...more.
I wished Scott would have opened up a tad more about his past to Alison. I mean, he knows ALL of Alison's family drama. And there were some details Scott witnessed when tailing Alison's mom that never materialized into anything.
I loved seeing Cole and Hailey. And I can't wait for Wilson's book!!!

3 immature stars..... first off Scott was hot in the beginning with his resistance (complete turn on so I see why Alison kept trying) but I think he spent so much time trying to tell her she's too young that he became 20 after they screw for the first time. He should've stayed blunt & help her grow up instead of becoming pussy whipped. She shows her age when she randomly meets a woman from his past & acts psycho. She's been trying to prove she's not too young from the start of the book and fails miserably. To be honest when was he supposed to tell her? They spend all their time screwing because she doesn't want more than a "booty call" pick a type of relationship lady. all in all it was an OK read but sometimes age does matter and I think chapter 1 Scott was right.
