What can I say about this short, sweet story about Nikki Zales, a art student short on money and Harris Chamberlain, a sculptor who has lost his muse and is now a college professor who has lost his zest for life? Flood gates are once again opened when she becomes the professional nude model for his sculpting class, and her voluptuous body has him feeling emotions and desires he had long locked away when he lost his wife and former must. Well, this book is absolute perfection with the deep, satisfying sexual chemistry that also causes Nikki and Harris great angst. When a male student comes on to Nikki, it will have Harris finding he can’t continue to dishonor the vows he made to his wife, or have him realize Nikki is worth the fight. This was the best hour plus of reading you can spend.
this book was ok overall. there were a lot of good points in the book but at the same time there was a lot of "do as I say not as I do" moments too. Prime example is how the teacher Harris tells his students to treat the Model Nickki with respect and professionalism but yet he cant listen to his own advice
The student/teacher aspect of this book is very minor compared to the conflict of moving forward after the loss of a spouse. The author really tapped into those emotions, even though this is a short story. And that is my only complaint - the story was to short, but at least there is a great epilogue.
Great sexy read. After losing his wife, Harris loses his ability to create his art. From the moment he sees Nikki he starts creating again and falls in love!
Maybe this is the story of Nikki and Harris but I think it is more about moving forward after losing the one great love of your life. Chloe really takes on a deep subject here and in a Novella. This is an easy read standalone HEA. I really enjoyed reading this book.
Harris, a 27 year old art teacher, was brooding over the loss of his wife 3 years ago from cancer. When Nikki appeared in his sculpting class as a nude model he was instantly attracted to her. He also hires her as a private model in his home and begins a mutual sexual relationship with her. I was not comfortable with their relationship. He was quick to warn his students that Nikki was a model and should be treated professionally, yet he began a sexual relationship with her within a week. I did enjoy the epilogue that went on to tell about their future and HEA. Having been a teacher, their relationship made me uncomfortable. I received an advance reader copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving this review.
This sweet little story is all about being open to the possibilities after the loss of a loved one. Harris lost his wife to cancer and hasn’t been really living since then. Without the love of his life to brighten his days, even his artistic muse has abandoned him. Then Nikki walks into his classroom and nothing will be the same again. I loved watching these two fight their instant chemistry and the taboo nature of their teacher/student and artist/model relationships. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
I received an arc for an honest review. I really enjoyed this read. Poor Harris, a widower at 27 years old. Has been existing, but not really living after his wife's death. Enter Nikki, a college student, looking to help pay for college. Harris is an art professor, and Nikki becomes his class's nude model. There is an instant attraction between both of them, however, Harris is conflicted as he still loves his wife and feels like he is betraying her memory. I loved how strong Nikki was. That's all you'll get from me - read for yourself - you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend.
A sweet romantic read about finding that second love of your life while finding your muse to bring you back from sadness and loss. Harris lost his wife a few years ago and since then he has lost his interest in his art. She was his muse and when he lost her, he lost himself. Nikki is a college student who is trying to make a few extra dollars to pay for school. She is a model for one of Harris' classes and the attraction and chemistry is sexy right from the start. This is a very quick read that was enjoyable.
Harris is an art professor, only 27 years old but a widow. When he lost his wife to cancer he lost his will to create art too.. Nikki is an art student who needs help paying tuition, she signs up to be a model for Harris’s art class and when he sees her his mind is awoken and he wants to create art again. He asks her to do private sessions. Will this be strictly art or will love come into his life again?
Sexual Tension is abundant in this book an artist and his muse. Harris Chamberlain sculpted, but after his wife and muse passed away he became a Professor teaching what he once loved to do. Nikki Zales was a student at the Art School and didn't have the luxury of having enough student loans to make ends meet so she became a nude model for the sculpting classes. One look at her and Harris new he found a muse. Nikki wonders if this could be anything more.
