Six weeks into the apocalypse, would you have hope?
From an emergency landing, to a full-blown riot, to a militia gone rogue, Colt and Walter have survived it all. Joining forces, their group heads toward Walter’s cabin and the promise of a new life. But mother nature has other plans.
When your life is in danger, can you summon the courage to fight?
Madison and Tracy think they’re safe at a cabin in woods. But a chance meeting with a stranger reveals how vulnerable they really are. Faced with an unpredictable threat, the pair must defend their new home, even when the odds are stacked against them.
The end of the world brings out the best and worst in all of us.
Dangerous wild animals, hidden traps on the road, and violent strangers combine to push everyone to the limit. If Walter and Colt can’t make it back home in time, Madison and Tracy might not survive. It’s a battle against nature and man that only the strong will survive.
The EMP is only the beginning.
The Hope Trilogy comprises books seven through nine in the After the EMP series, a post-apocalyptic thriller series following ordinary people trying to survive after a geomagnetic storm destroys the nation’s power grid.
This entire series (all 9 of the books) was incredibly well written. I found that I couldn’t put them down, and then when I finished all of them I felt a sense of loss. Like having to tell a family member that you’re really close to, goodbye. For me, that’s the best compliment you can give an author. When they do such a great job that the reader identifies with the characters, and completely loses themselves in the story.
Blasted through the whole series in under a week. Messed up and started with Book series 2, fell in love with Colt, Larkin, and Dani. Made it to 3, realized I had no idea who Madison, Brianna, and the other were and realized I skipped the first part.
Ending was a bit rushed but overall good. Bit of a goofy last entry. A lot of “I have you surrounded” NOOO! I have YOU surrounded.” “Nuh uh I have you even more surroundededed”
Still I enjoyed it. Although, I want more. Seeds were planted for more sequels and this series is one of the few decently written books in the genre that doesn’t do too much pandering to preppers, extremists, or gun nuts. I want to know what happens when the Unified states government shows up!
I’ve really enjoyed reading this series. The characters are interesting and the storyline intriguing and plausible. It’s hard to find an author that doesn’t write all about blood, death and violence. His characters are memorable and have depth to them. The storyline feels real and possible. Great reading for YA and adults.
I would suggest this series to anyone who thrives on hope and faith. The action never stops. The characters seem so real, and grow into a huge family that learn to help, trust, and love each other. They always face every new day with hope and faith and strength, and never stop working together.
But grit, courage, guts and guns shore make what’s no longer normal livable. With their brains and the skills they already possessed they were able to not only get by but create a new life in a wild land. Great characters and a great story made for good reading even if I did lose sleep some nights as I vicariously fought alongside of them!
Multiple battles occur in a very short period of time.Given where everyone lived meeting each other and battling in such a short period of time twisted an otherwise good read.
Colt, Walter, tracy, and so many more have fought tooth and nail to survive the EMP attack. Through losing friends and family the struggle to survive in the new world. This nine book series is a good clean Christian series that is worthy of your time.
It’s 1am, and I just got finished reading the Hope Trilogy. The third box set by Harley Tate. You really need to read these books if you are into End of the World as we know it books.
Wonderful series, keeps you turning papers to find out what is happening and how it turns out. Wow what a ride. Full action and drama. Meeting new friends/enemy, calling a truce and a war. Good prevail. Great story. Glad I read this series
With the sheer number of times the characters are hit in the head and knocked unconscious, they must all be suffering from TBI. Read in tiny chunks, not large gulps. Might be more palatable.
The, very delightful, problem with this whole series is the need to keep reading through each adventure to be sure everything comes out okay. That made for some late nights. I definitely recommend.
The whole series has been amazing. I read every book one after another and there wasn't one book that I thought wasn't up to scratch. I loved all the characters and after following them through the nine books I felt that I knew them. When they got hurt it was upsetting for real. I Wholly Recommend Harley Tate. Brilliant Books.
