What The Heck Is Self-Love Anyway?

Rate this book
If you're like me, you might have tuned out or rejected the idea whenever you hear someone say "you have to love yourself" and you might even say to yourself, what the heck does that mean? Unfortunately, loving yourself can be so foreign of a concept and yet it might also be the very thing that changes your life... for the better in every way. Self-love—our capacity to feed our spirit, fill our ‘love cup’ and feel inner peace is endless— we just need to tap into it. But how? How the heck do we create [or experience] inner happiness? That's what this book attempts to address.

I was reading this during shifts at my job lol.

It’s so interesting; I was surprised by all the great advice and tips. I like how vulnerable the author was about his sons death. It made me sad when I saw his birthdate and learned he would’ve been older than me if he were still alive.

I really needed to read this right now. I feel like it was a sign that I found this non-preachy book on personal growth and value. Highly recommend!

Insight and Hope

I'm 70 and am still a people pleaser. Also procrastinate! However, while I have been reluctant to express my true feelings, I am making baby steps to do so. Yes, it is never too late to learn. Thanks Jonathan and I'll see you as I scroll on YouTube. You are a strong and insightful influencer. Thanks for sharing your story.

Very insightful book It was helpful to me,!

It was very clear and helpful! Information we know, but truly need to practice. I tried a chapter a day to get in-practice of what needed to do for myself! I look forward to more books by Mr. Aslay!

This book is an excellent reflection of where Jonathan has been in his career and life before his necessary journey to his second career path now. It almost makes you wonder if those who aren't in the same space Jonathan is now if they are leading lives that reflect who they really are inside or need to be for their own lives. So glad I purchased this book. For me? This book was a reminder to love the whole Nicole not just pieces of me. Areas of improvement and areas of strengths were apparent for me as I read this book in one night. Right now I just want to love me better than I ever thought I could! Thank you for this book!

I watch a lot of dating coaching videos online, and you know how you have to love yourself first in order to love someone else? Well that concept is not new, but theres usually not much elaboration put into it. So one video I came across recommended this book and boy, WHAT A GEM! Everyone needs to read this! It’s a light read too not too intimidating :) Deserves 500 stars!

A good beginners book to the concept of self love! This text didn't particularly stand out to me, but I think it would make an excellent foundation for those new to the concept of self love and what it actually means.

Love Jonathon books, so many practical self-love practice advice to implement in a day to day life. I've had so many light bulbs while reading, I was aware of certain things but it never occurred to me. Jonathon is scratching below the surfaced and help you understand why you're behaving a certain way
