Belly-laugh hilarious. Toe-curling steamy. And now, in one boxed set.

Both full-length standalone Single Dad romantic comedies from USA Today bestselling author JJ Knight are available in one volume!

"One of the funniest books I've ever read."
"So much fun and I didn't want to put it down."
"Laugh out loud funny, with wonderful characters."

BOOK 1: SINGLE DAD ON TOP
Top 10 bestseller in Rom Coms

Billionaire bachelor, meet your secret baby.
Instructions not included.

I'm always on top.
My penthouse.
My corporate office above Manhattan.
And, of course, the women in my life.

Actually, I might choose any position.

But make no mistake. I choose. I control.
My life is mine.

Which is why I'm not sure what the hell is going on when I open my front door and there's a baby stroller sitting in my private hall.

The note on the infant simply says, "Do the DNA. She's yours."

Well, damn.

BOOK 2: SINGLE DAD PLUS ONE

The sequel to the wildly popular romantic comedy SINGLE DAD ON TOP.

I'm always on top.

My penthouse. My corporate office over Manhattan.

And now, my family.

Well, as long as baby Grace isn't fussing.

And my wife-to-be Arianna doesn't need me for something.

Okay, maybe things have evened out a bit.

But now Arianna wants to meet my parents.

They live in a trailer. Dad thinks Playboy T-shirts are classy because the naked women are silhouettes. Mom has a tattoo of a dog humping a palm tree. I don't think either one has said a sentence without an f-bomb since 1985.

I changed my name a long time ago. Started a new life with a clean slate and never looked back.

I don't know how to mend that bridge.

Or why there's a pig-on-a-spit at their surprise engagement party.

Or how Arianna and I ended up wearing matching "Ball and Chain" bride and groom shirts.

But you don't get to choose your parents.

And in my family, crazy is definitely relative.

3.5 surprise baby stars!

This was a really sweet easy read in which I finished both books in a day.

Billionaire Dell discovers a baby left on his doorstep with a letter claiming that she is his. At a loss of what to do with an infant he runs to Arianna at her daycare center (or as the book calls is a Children's Spa - insert eyeroll).

There's nothing cuter than watching a hapless bachelor learning how to care for a baby. From changing diaper blow-outs, feeding, sleepless nights and discovering that you should always use a burp cloth. :)

Single Dad on Top
The synopsis and some of the reviews called this an uproariously funny book set. A few pages into reading Book #1 I’m groaning at the self-satisfied, self-absorbed, pompous, arrogant male lead billionaire Dell Brant. I could probably dislike him as well for the way he treats women as disposable as condoms but then I think to myself, “These women aren’t victims. If they’re willing to have sex with Brant because of his good looks and wealth they’re as shallow as he is.” So, I’ll let him slide on the morals issue. Still, J.J. Knight has her work cut out for her to turn my disgust with her Dell Brant character into anything close to resembling sympathy or like.
The female lead Arianna Hart is a far different story for me. I love how she turned her personal history of being born to wealthy self-involved parents who spent no time raising their own child, into a lucrative business charging similarly wealthy self-absorbed parents exorbitant fees ($12,000/month) to provide the love and attention to their infant through pre-school children that she didn’t receive. A shrewd business woman she knows exactly how to position her business to attract an upscale clientele. A skilled and caring child care expert she knows how to care for their children in a loving, safe environment. A kind and generous person she treats her employees with respect and pays them well. I liked that Arianna was a 27 year old virgin because she wanted her first time to be with someone she loved and who loved her. I’m not a prude. I certainly like my lusty heroines. But it was nice for a change in contemporary romance to find a heroine who saw sex as something more than a physical act to scratch an itch.
This is a funny story. But I didn’t find it insanely funny. Certainly, a fish out of water story of a confirmed bachelor suddenly struggling to raise a baby has plenty of opportunities for laughs. But poopy diaper jokes can only go so far. What it is, is an extremely warm story as everyone from self-involved, uptight billionaire Dell Brant to Maximillian slowly but surely fall in love with baby Grace. And as he fell for Grace and his daddy instincts took over, I even found Dell tolerable. Knight is a gifted writer. She tells a good story. She excels at capturing the emotions and thoughts of characters in any given situation she puts them into to make it feel real.
Single Dad Plus One
I’m going to date myself here but think Hee Haw , The Beverly Hillbillies, Green Acres, then throw in a little Jeff Foxworthy redneck snark and that’s pretty much where Knight creates her humor in this story. And it is funny. But its not the redneck humor that made me like this book.
As we learned in the first story, our hero Dell Brant has a secret past. A past he’s tried very hard to bury, hide and forget. He legally changed his name and paid handsomely to expunge any internet references to who he was or where he came from before arriving in New York City. But he and Arianna are now engaged. She wants to know more about the man she loves and she assumes when they marry his family will be at the wedding. All she knows about them is that he’s from Birmingham Alabama, his paternal grandfather made clocks and he adored his paternal grandmother Grace whom he named his baby after. His mother whom he’s kept in contact with through bi-weekly phone calls over the thirteen years since he left Birmingham and never returned is also pressuring him to return home and see his younger brother Donovan who has just graduated from college. His family knows next to nothing about his life since he left home after college. They don’t know he changed his name. They don’t know he’s a billionaire. They don’t know about his baby daughter or Arianna. So what could possibly go wrong if he returns home for a brief visit to introduce his fiancée and daughter to his mother? An intended quick meet and greet luncheon with his mom and hopefully younger brother turns into a surprise redneck engagement party and an extended stay. The longer he remains with his family the more his secrets slip out, the more he’s forced to confront his own demons regarding his past.
Arianna is not a snob. But having grown up the daughter of wealth in Manhattan, she’s a bit like Alice in Wonderland as she is overwhelmed by Dell’s extended redneck, trailer park family. Then it gets worse. Her parents surprise her by showing up in Birmingham. Her snobbish, high society mother wants to meet Dell and his family and begin planning her daughter’s wedding. She has no idea her daughter’s famous billionaire fiancée has such low class roots or that he and her daughter have been passing Grace off has her daughter’s rather than Dell’s. This is when all Arianna and Dell’s secrets are outed. And of course her mother and Dell’s get along like oil and water.
Here’s what I liked most about this story. After her initial shock, Arianna comes to appreciate Dell’s family. They’re loud, ill mannered to the point of being sometimes crude, but they’re loving, accepting and inclusive too. They’re dirt poor but they’re happy. They say what they mean and they mean what they say and they don’t apologize to anyone for who they are or what they don’t have. After spending most of her life in Manhattan she enjoys the quieter slower pace of Alabama. For all of her rough edges it’s Dell’s mother who after calling out Arianna’s mother for being a snob and an absentee mother the night before, offers an olive branch and insist all parties get together and make peace. She easily forgives Dell for all the secrets he’s kept from her. The only real jackass in this story is Dell’s father who can’t get over his resentment for his son’s ambition and sees it as him thinking he’s better than the rest of his family, especially his father. Just as with the first book this story contains plenty of laughs but even more warm feels.

Great read

Both the Single Dad stories are fabulous. They are funny and touching. Arianna and Dell make a great couple and Grace added to the mix makes them the best family. I love all the secondary characters as well. They are funny and rude and touching. I would recommend this series to any adult reader that enjoys a laugh out loud and very sexy read.

HANDS DOWN, ONE OF THE MOST ENTERTAINING & HEARTWARMING BOOKS I'VE READ THIS YEAR!!!
Title: Single Dad On Top Duet
Author: J.J. Knight
Designation: Contemporary Romantic Comedy, Complete Duet (Book 1, Single Dad On Top, and Book 2, Single Dad Plus One), Full-Length (Approx 430 pages), Standalone, NO Cliffhanger
Reading Platform: Kindle Edition
My Rating: Five Deliciously Cute and Oh So Sexy Stars*****
**This is the complete duet and includes both books, Single Dad On Top and Single Dad Plus One.

Oh my! I love, love, love Single Dad On Top Plus One by J.J. Knight! As many of you know, J.J. Knight is only one of the pen names for the very talented Deanna Roy. It matters little what name Knight uses since everything she writes is magically delicious and her Single Dad on Top Duet is no exception. And no, there's no actual magic or fantasy, just good old-fashioned and very well written contemporary romance with the perfect blend of heat, heart, and humor . Without a doubt, Single Dad On Top and Single Dad On Top Plus One are two of the most entertaining books I've read this year. I was completely hooked within the first chapter and simply could not turn the pages fast enough. But as usual, I digress so let's talk details! The Single Dad On Top Duet is a fast-paced, easy to follow, fun-filled, exceptionally well crafted and edited, full-length comedy filled to the brim witty dialogue, laugh-out-loud humor, a cast of engaging and endearing characters, a little heartrending drama, a few spicy secrets and plot twists, an attraction that won't be denied, a whole lot of heartwarming romance, and an emotionally moving story that will tug at your heartstrings. The narrative is beautifully written in the first person with clearly defined his and her perspectives from the two protagonists, handsome billionaire Dell Brant, aka Hasmund McDonald, and beautiful childcare day spa owner Arianna Hart. These two characters were a match made in heaven and complemented each other perfectly. The dialogue is smart, snappy, at times outrageously funny, well executed and flows effortlessly. I snickered, snorted, snuffled, chuckled, giggled, sniffled and sobbed through the entire book but by the end, I was happy, satisfied and well entertained. There were times I laughed so hard I actually peed myself! TMI? Maybe, but it's the truth. I was immediately smitten with handsome, self-made, billionaire playboy, and serial womanizer Dell Brant. Dell was a tough, ruthless, businessman, accustomed to getting everything he wants, not only in business but his personal life as well. And prior to meeting Arianna Hart, Dell Brant never double dipped. He's more of a love and leave 'em after one encounter kinda guy, but women still vied for the opportunity of being seen on his arm, even if it was only once. His refuge in the storm was his luxurious penthouse at the top of one of his many New York City real estate holdings, aptly named the Dell Brant Building, and he even has his own butler. But even a handsome player like Dell Brant has secrets and all it took to bring him to his knees was one little frilly bundle of joy left anonymously at his door and a sexy virginal children's day spa owner, determined not to be his next conquest for a night. Dell may be a cutthroat businessman but when it comes to three-month-old babies, he's clueless and still hopelessly out of his element. But that's okay since there's a child daycare center in his building. Unfortunately, the owner, Arianna Hart, is no pushover and she refuses to allow the surly billionaire to steamroll over her. Arianna is definitely not Dell's usual fare, but these two very independent but lonely people find common ground and bond over a precious little soul, but it's an arduous journey filled with secrets, hard truths, unexpected surprises, heartaches, mishaps, dirty diapers, and a whole lot of laughs. And folks, this is definitely not your typical secret baby trope! lol... I fell in love with both Dell and Arianna, and the sparks flying between this unlikely couple shines brighter than fireworks on the Fourth of July - and just as explosive! There has never been a more perfect example of opposites attracting, but Dell and Arianna actually have a lot more in common than either initially realized. No spoilers from me but I will say this.... Womanizing playboy billionaire who gets the surprise of his life-check! A kindhearted daycare owner who can't deny a child in need...or the alleged father-check! An adorable baby who captures the heart of two lonely souls-check! Lies, secrets, deceit, an unpredictable family, a liberal measure of laugh out loud humor, and quite a few outrageously funny hijinks-check! Undeniable attraction, fiery passion, steamy sex, heartwarming romance, and a love that will change three lives-You bet! That and a whole lot more!

Did I like this book? No, I LOVED it! Would I recommend it? You bet and I am but only for adult readers since it does contain some tastefully written but very steamy love scenes! Hubba! Hubba! I actually both books several years ago (shortly after the original release date) and loved it so much that I binge read the duet again this past weekend. Without a doubt, Single Dad On Top is one of my top five, all-time-favorite romantic comedies - EVER! And I've read a lot of rom-coms in my almost 70 years. The only thing I didn't like was reading 'The End' on the final page. I loved the characters and story so much, I wanted more, more, more! lol... Will I read this author again? Absolutely! And finally, was I entertained? Completely! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

I read the books in the set when they were first published but I still couldn't resist buying the set while it was available at a bargain price. Below are my reviews from when I originally read the books.

Single Dad on Top: A billionaire playboy brought to his knees by a baby and a virgin.

I love a good romantic comedy and Single Dad on Top really delivers. JJ Knight (also known as Deanna Roy) has packed all kinds of stuff into this story – and it works! She's got:
✅ Single Dad
✅ Billionaire
✅ Alpha Male
✅ Cute baby
✅ Fiesty heroine
✅ Curvy girl next door
✅ Stern butler
✅ Pretend marriage
✅ Royalty
✅ Happily Ever After
Yes, it's totally ridiculous.
Yes, it's completely laugh-out-loud fun.

The story is told in first person POV and alternates between Dell Brant – a self-centered manwhore – and Arianna – a feisty, single, businesswoman. When a baby is left on his doorstep Dell seeks help from Arianna and her Del Gato Child Spa which just happens to be located in the building he owns and lives in.

It was wonderful to see the transformation that Dell goes through from the time the baby is left on his doorstep till we reach the end of the story. Even his stiff and stuffy butler can't totally resist a baby as cute as Grace. There's also a sweet, retired-from-racing, Greyhound who can't resist Arianna or Grace.

All-in-all, Single Dad on Top is laugh-out-loud funny in places and also brought me to tears before it was all over. This is just the kind of story that I love.

* * * * * * * * * * * *

Single Dad Plus One: A brilliantly funny and tender story of a blending of cultures.

Single Dad on Top was hilariously funny and now JJ Knight (also known as Deanna Roy) has returned with a sequel that is equally funny.

Like book one, Single Dad Plus One is told in first person POV and alternates between Dell Brant – now a reformed, self-centered manwhore – and Arianna – a feisty, single, businesswoman. Warning – book two contains spoilers for book one and while you probably could read this as a standalone, to get the full effect you really should read Single Dad on Top first and it's FREE for a limited time.

SPOILERS for book one below this point!

Dell and Arianna have been together for a few months now. The adoption of Grace is pending; after that happens, they plan to get married. This story is all about what happens when two vastly different cultures collide (Dell's southern, blue-collar family vs Arianna's upper-class parents).

Once again, there are many laugh-out-loud moments in this story; what happens when Dell's family throws a surprise engagement party is priceless. This is a pretty quick read and well worth the time I spent devouring it.

Dell Brant is a self made billionaire businessman in New York who suddenly gets saddled with a baby girl in his front doorstep.

He's a bachelor, and totally clueless about baby care - he calls a dummy a mouth plug 😄. In his desperation he finds Arianna, the owner of the boutique child care business in his building.

Arianna come from money, but she spent her childhood in the care of nannies, while her parents travelled and saw to their business and charity events. She raided her trust fund to start a business which can provide love and attention to kids in the same position she grew up in. She and Dell clash from the get-go, but Arianna can't in good conscience leave the innocent baby in the hands of such an inept caregiver.

The two of them forge an unlikely friendship as they care for the baby, whom they name Grace, waiting for a DNA test to prove paternity.

Being a huge manwhore, he had no clue who the mother could be, and eventually narrows it down to 2 of 25 women he slept with in the appropriate time frame. Together, Dell and Arianna travel to confront the women. During this whole time they realise they have feelings for each other, but because of Dell's less than innocent past, Arianna is not willing to risk a chance to care for Grace if and when Dell gets bored and moves on.

The book was light-hearted and fun. Dell's ineptitude with a baby was quite impressive. Arianna was a sweet girl who just wanted someone to love who would love her back. The two were a good pair. Sort of enemies to friends to lovers.

This book contains descriptive love scenes.

The "plus-one" is a short add on story about Dell and Arianna travelling to Alabama to meet his parents, who are as cliche as you can get.

Absolutely loved this story.

Such a witty entertaining story. Dell has changed his name and covered up his past to become a successful womanising billionaire. Arianna was born to a prosperous family and is now running a prestigious daycare to give rich children the love and attention they don’t receive from their family.
Dell in the beginning is stiff and unpleasant, but with the entrance of baby Grace he starts to lose some of his adopted persona. Arianna is loving, intelligent and so sweet, with a bit of a bite to her when she’s in protective mode.
The characters and scenes are so well written that you are transported into their world; you feel their love, anguish, laughter, angst and fears. I couldn’t have loved this story more.

Billionaire and a baby

Such a good read. The characters are witty and the chemistry is off the charts. Dell is a play boy to the core so when a tiny bundle is left on his door step he panics. Arianna runs a baby spa day care for the rich. When Dell shows up out of nowhere demanding help he is quickly put in his place. As they grow close to the tiny baby their feeling grow.
Now as a family Dell takes his family to meet the folks in Alabama. They have secrets that need protecting for the baby’s safety. Dell hasn’t been home in 13 years and he just wants the visit over. Arianna comes from the upper class and his family is as blue collar as it gets so he is scared to mix his two lives. This story was a blast to read Dell and Arianna are perfect.

None of these characters make sense! You're trying to convince me that the man running around with a baby, insisting on finding a woman to take care of her, is a feminist?! Arianna hates him on sight, but totally willing to give up her precious virginity to him? Fly around the world with him at a moments notice? Bonding over BABY SHOPPING?! REALLY?
An easy read for sure, but also rushed "character development" that felt unbelieveable (especially in the sequel with the parents...). Babies are cute, but not cute enough to save this story for me, I'm afraid. Only finished it because it suited a reading challenge I'm completing. I'm glad others enjoyed this series, but with characters pretty unlikable and an outrageous plot, this was just not for me.

This was a crazy plot but it was a fun read, especially at the end. The author most certainly did not take ideas from any other book, at least none that I read. It was so totally different I couldn't predict what would happen next. The arrival of the baby was a big surprise and so was everything after that.

Bringing the two completely different families together for a wedding was very challenging and all I could think was that I was glad I wasn't the bride. Lots of laughs, but plenty of groans.

Single Dad box set

Second reading and I loved them more this time than the first time. A cute, sweet baby brings 2 people together. A man who was never going to have a family and had no idea what to do with a child and a woman who wanted to make sure the children in her daycare had a great life, even when she didn't. Loved the interactions.
The second book takes you to Dell's home in Alabama which is another world from New York. I laughed, I cried, I felt for those involved as they came to terms with what was going to happen. And for the best for that sweet baby.

This was cute and funny, I enjoyed it but I didn't love it since it felt somewhat sluggishly moving to me.

The characters are fun and caring but I did not feel the romance all that much between them.
Between both of them and the baby, there's a lot of love but between Brand and Arianna, it all feels a little tepid in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, it isn't a bad book by any standard but I think I expected somewhat more of it.

Arianna runs a upscale day care. Dell is a financial genius. When a former lover leaves a child at Dell’s door, both of their lives make a drastic change. This is book one. In book two, the 2 lovers and baby Grace meet the families and mayhem following.

Both stories have their ups and downs but at the center of the stories is the love that binds Arianna to Dell and both of them to grace.

These two,yes two books are so good you just can’t put them down! Luckily,I could read each one in a day.
These books have twists and turns that will leave you saying “What” but believe me,they both end very well.
I sure hope you get a chance to enjoy them...I know I did!

Romantic and Funny with Twists and Turns

Arianna and Dell are brought together by a beautiful baby girl named Grace. This story touched me deep in my heart. Witnessing Arianna's fall in love with a child whom she did not birth was and then she and Dell, Grace's father falling in love is too much.

Terrific☺️

Loved these 2 books. It was funny, poignant, sweet, and a great story! Extremely unusual romance starting with a baby left on the doorstep of our main male character. Female main character runs a fancy, expensive daycare in the building in which he lives and also owns. It was a great start to this romantic comedy duo!

wonderful story

I really enjoy this author’s books. Dell and Ariana were perfect in their love story. Both growing up in imperfect ways, one rich and one poor yet the neglect was the same. Great development of how success can happen either way. Very realistic portrayal of early child raising. Hilarious family differences in the second book ending with their HEA.

Single dad

It was okay. Single guy Dell Brant got flustered when a baby was left on his penthouse door. He went down to the childcare spa and ask for help. That’s how he met Arianna. The business owner.... and their story begins

Reformed Dad

What happens when a baby is left on your doorstep? You find assistance from the best, even when the situation is rife with tensions. HEA is a long road for Arianna and Dell, plus one Grace.

Funny

Not always good on the pacing but definitely had some good laughs. Didn’t really get why the hero had to take the drastic option of changing his name. Never really convincing regarding his father.
