Sela McBride and Cosimo Martinelli are from two different worlds. Sela is a stay-at-home mom whose husband died unexpectedly eighteen months before she meets a dashing Italian. Her freelance writing allows her to care for her son, but she isn’t swimming in money. Cosimo is a billionaire, coming from old Italian money, made in his family’s Piedmont vineyards. He is a force of nature, declaring his love for her before she is ready to feel anything but fear of him and his alpha male ways. Sela’s late husband had been demanding, and she refuses to be trapped in another domineering relationship. Yet she also can’t seem to control her desires around him, and he sweeps her off her feet every time they are together.
The urgency and potency of his desire for her unnerves her...she has never had any man so totally focused on her pleasure, and on opening her up to her own unexplored sexuality. Her son Jeremy loves him, and Sela prays she can protect him from heartbreak, if things don’t go well between her and Cosimo, as they may if she refuses to marry him. She knows he will leave and she will never see him again. Can she bear to lose him, though she is afraid to love him?
So this is the part were I'm supposed to talk about myself. I write so many stories but I often I have a hard time telling my own. Funny how that works.
My name is Cristina Grenier and I have been writing stories for as long as I could remember . I'm a sucker for romance. I draw from past experiences and from others around me when I write. I enjoy creating characters that everyone can relate to.
Besides writing, I also enjoy painting and figure drawing. I'm a bit of a homebody, my ideal night consists of a chilled bottle of wine, some pasta and Netflix. I really hope you enjoy the stories I create. If you want to keep updated on my new releases and frequent FREE book giveaways, please subscribe to my email group at www.cristinagrenier.com
Sela McBride and Cosimo Martinelli's story. This is one of the best stories I have read by this author.
Sela was sassy and Cosimo was determined. I loved, loved that there was a lot of dialogue between the couple about their issues and their relationship. I found the story riveting and it was not just a narrative of their story, which sometime this author's books can be.
Excellent story. I love their first meeting when they bumped into at the museum. I don't like how Duncan kept harassing Sela when it was plainly obvious that she wasn't interested in him. It was nice of Cosimo having his nephew at his house when she came for her tour of his family's vineyard. I love how he fell in love with her when he first met her, that he take when she said that she wasn't interested when it clearly she was but she was afraid to get hurt. I was afraid that she was going to let her insecurities get in the way of her second chance at love. She found her someone who want what's best for her and her son,who loves her son like he was his own. I love how he has a conversation with Duncan after they all had dinner together. Amazing read.
There two stories be offered here - Fine as Wine and Art of Love. Both stories were enjoyable but strangely enough the bonus story had the better story line, a story of developing love while overcoming racism and other obstacles. With Fine as Wine, it was the growth of the heroine, Sela, that helped move the story along and also Cosimo, the hero, grew in learning how to, while not losing who he is, being the man Sela needed for her to move e forward in life.
This was an absolutely amazing book!! This author knows how to create an awesome story. The characters were well developed and really fleshed out. Cosimo and Sela were a well matched couple. And he definitely seemed to be the lover of your deepest fantasies. My only issue was that Sela fit the definition of an angry black woman. And she seemed a bit resistant to change and new challenges. But by the end, she was able to work on them and let go of them. HEA was the perfect ending for these two.
I will start with the bonus book, I was very angry at the way Brandon's friend Donald treated Elise because she was black. And what made it worse was that Brandon who is suppose to have feelings for her did not stand out for her until she decided not to see him any more. The first book was awesome, Cosimo knew he wanted the heroine from the first time he met her and he was determined to win her over, and he did.
I enjoyed reading this book. Cosimo knew he wanted to get to know her as soon as he met her. Although she was on the defensive in the beginning, she was able to sort out her feelings for him and was able to see how he was different from her deceased husband. I loved her son, he was such a good boy. Great ending to a great story.
I liked this story a lot. The characters were great. The sequence of events weren't to bad. I would have liked to know exactly what transpired with Duncan and the business though
Such a feel good story. As it should be, love will conquer all! Brandon and Elise found their love and joined their families. Great book, really enjoyed.
