Threesies: MMF Romance - Unrequited Love - Reunion
Threesies is Happy Hours Book 2. This book is about Miracle, Jared and Connor. We met Miracle in book 1. Miracle owns a club and escort service. She has been feeling like something bad is going to happen for a while, but doesn't tell anyone. Then it happens. Connor hears about it on the police scanner and rushes there. After she is in the hospital, Connor leaves Jared a message that Baby Bear is down. The three of them were childhood friends and more, but they quit talking to each other 10 years ago. The guys are not going to let anything happen to Miracle on their watch, and will do harm to whoever it is that hurt her. Connor is now a cop, it wasn't really told what Jared does. The chemistry between the three of them and even individually is off the charts, you would not know they haven't spoken in 10 years. There is lots of steam and hot sex....and not much is left to the imagination. I had a hard time connecting with them. I think I needed to know more of what happened that they stopped talking and more of how them now living together impacted all of them. I'd give this 3.5 stars. I just did not connect with these characters as much as I did the first book. But I am looking forward to Book 3. I really enjoy this author's style of writing.

When Miracle needs protection, she turns to the 2 men who still mean the world to her - Jared and Connor. One's a cop and the other's a businessman on the shady side of the street.
I always reiterate that with menages, I have to feel the physical and the emotional are balanced well or they don't feel right to me. Unfortunately, Threesies didn't have that balance. Sure, it's steamy but that's about it. The emotional connection between the three isn't developed well at all. Perhaps if their past had been fleshed out a lot more, then led into the present (which also needed a lot more development and detail), I could have felt their connection. But, the way it's written just led me to believe the only thing these three feel for each other is physical. So three stars is about all I can give Threesies. It may not even deserve that, but I did enjoy the steamy parts so I can give it 3 stars without feeling bad.

I enjoyed this book about three friends who were lost to each other for ten years but found themselves back together to find a threat. Miracle is almost blown up on purpose. Her friends Connor and Jared are the first that she thinks about since she misses them dearly but never reached our to them. Connor is the first to get to her after hearing about it on his police scanner. His call to Jared would have gone ignored if it weren't about Miracle.
These three friends had a relationship growning back when they were teenagers. It fell apart when Connor made a decision out of haste and we never really got to see how it affected them all other than they didn't speak to each other for ten long years. The steamy parts of this book are so good. The chemistry is hot. The secondary story of who done it or who's trying to do it which is what brought them together, never had me on the edge of my seat. The suspence never had an urgency. It does however show what a tough woman she is and has had to be. Overall I would read more from this author.

The three that used to be close, but have been apart for years, and each have changed a lot. You can feel the awkwardness and the tension jumping off the pages.
With a second chance for these three, it's a chance to set things right. And they have secrets, desires, and a first time for their new relationship.
It has a decent mystery that reunites the trio. But without having read book one, the mystery is lacking. Thus, I found it to not be a standalone, and wish I had read the previous book.
I don't love Miracle in the beginning, but my feelings change early enough on, as she needs their help. And, wow, that help is hot.

Hot and Explicit. For those who may not be aware from the title or description, this book contains all combinations of sex between 1 gal and 2 guys - and describes everything very explicitly. If you're not a fan of either of those things, spare yourself some time and spare Ms. Matthews a bad review just because you didn't like those things.
That out of the way, for those that *do* like those things, this was a really good book. Enough character development to take it more into NC-17 territory than simply a written form of XXX, though it becomes clear (particularly late) that actual fight scenes are not the author's forte. Still, the book works as a standalone even while being book 2 of at least a 3 book series, and the world was one that this reader is looking forward to coming back to. Very much recommended (with the above caveats).

Entertaining 3.5 stars
The book was fun and I really enjoyed the protagonists personalities. We never got told what Jared did for a living, nor the sort of criminal activity he got up to. It was also disappointing that in fact they didn’t find out who attacked her before he had a go again. I didn’t like how we never really got the details of why they split up 10 years ago. I would have enjoyed more details on how she became who she is now. Lastly, I know the book was more focused on the mystery but as they started living together I would have liked more details on how it was perceived by others, friends coworkers etc. Especially Connor being a cop and Jared presumably a criminal. Did he moved on being a detective or nah. The book had an unfinished taste.

This was my first Shaylin Matthews book and I must say it was HOT! I liked that the characters all 3 had individual relationships with each other as well as a group. Loved the strong heroine who can take care of herself.

Threesies by Shaylin Matthews is the second book in the series, Happy Hours. It is filled with heated scenes between two males and a female, in various combinations and positions. But it is also about trusting those that mean the most to you, no matter how long you have been apart physically, having their back and protecting them with all you have.
I really liked Connor, Jared and Miracle. They were interesting and fun characters.. not to mention steamy together. The story was full of suspense, drama, steam and love. A satisfying read.

So this book moves fast and I also get why the author called it a reunion.. It's obvious that after not seeing each other for 10 years they still have feelings and respect for each other. They care enough to come together and take care of one of them. Miracle, Jared and Connor have care and respect for each other. There's some issues that they have to deal with. There's steamy scenes between all three and with the two of them especially with Jared and Connor. It was also nice to see Legend, Cutt and Royce again. I liked this story and little action that was in it.

I loved this book!! You can't run from what is meant to be. When Jared and Connor heard what happened to Miracle, it didn't matter that they hadn't spoken in 10yrs. All that mattered was that they needed to protect their Baby Bear. And even when they still were mad at each other the sparks were still flying.. The love never left, if anything I think it grew over time. And I loved that even though Miracle was a very strong Woman, she had her two men whom she could be vulnerable with.

This is generally not my type of book but since I will try anything once I took a chance on this and was pleasantly surprised. The genuine bond that Miracle, Jared & Connor have from childhood, is what made this story for me. These three would do anything for each other, even when feelings of anger and time apart get in the way. The fact that we have a mystery to solve in the background made this on even more enjoyable. I liked that fact that it was more than just a hot lovin' fest 😉

I umm'ed and aah'd over whether this was a 3 or 4 star for me.
I didn't warm to Miracle at the beginning and the mystery a bit lacking. However it transformed when Connor and Jared come fully into the story. The love, the heat, the sex, phew! I liked how the plot plays out but felt that the part where the suspense comes to a conclusion was a bit of a letdown, albeit amusing. So a mixed bag but well worth a read and I think if read another.

New to me author and series.
Conner, Miracle and Jared, raised in the foster care system, had little else but each other. We are given a glimpse into their teenage years, then thrust into 12 years later.
The trio have gone their separate ways, but come together when one is in danger.
Good plot, strong characters. Recommended.

This is the 2nd book in the series and I didn't read the first. I'm not sure how much i missed out on but feels like quite a bit. I didnt get any kind of back story from the characters' past, other than a couple of flashbacks. There is quite a bit of errors. One thing going for it is super hot sex scenes.

This is the second book in the series, and it is hot!! There is a lot of suspense, but most of all HEAT!!!
Miracle , Jared and Conner haven't seen each other in 10 years, but when Miracle's life is in danger, she will it trust these two to keep her alive. The three of them have been in love with each other since they were kids, but now, that love is so much more!!

This was a spicy, quick read with some actions thrown into the mix. All these of the main characters intertwined nicely and added something to the story. The female character is tough as nails and gives the two men in her life a run for their money. If you like lots of sexy with your stories, this one is definitely for you!!

This is book 2 in the series Happy Hour. Miracle is the boss of a escort service. About 10 years ago she had a falling out between her 2 men and they parted ways. Miracle has been having threats against her and brings them all back together. This was a quick read but hot. Man you won't want to put this book down. There are so meany hot scenes.

I read this book after reading Happy Hours book one, Love is for Suckers. Both books can be read as standalones, but I'm glad I read them in order. This one was super hot and erotic...with scenes that couldn't get much more steamy. It was a quick read. If you are in the mood for something erotic, hot, and easy to read...this is a book for you.

Unapologetic
I loved this story. I was surprised how well this worked. It starts with friendship. That 10 year gap was needed for them to grow. The lack of communication was part of the rift. Men, don't ask us to choose when we keep you close.

Super sexy and suspenseful.
This has a high heat content and was pretty suspenseful. A good storyline as well. I loved the characters and would have liked more scenes worked in rather than just say the time passing. It would of made for a smoother read.

While this book is HOT, I had a difficult time connecting with the characters and the plot. It seems that there were some missing pieces of the backstory. I understand where the author wanted to take the story, it has some broken links in my opinion.

I liked the premise behind the character relationships in this one. I felt like the overall story was a tad shallow, but the steam was top level.

This was a great book! Three friends who lost their way found each other again in a big plot twist that i didn’t see coming! It’s a MMF book so a spoiler alert there! It’s an easy read, couldn’t put the book down!

This book seemed more like a portion of a book. It was okay but there was a lot of grammatical errors and the book seemed to be missing a beginning and an end. 3 stars
