I have to say that in the first quarter of this comic series the character development was quite good; however, given the plot twists and meaningless deaths we saw through the story, it was evident that, just like the main premise, it was thrown in the trash bin early on.
Ok so the art gets full stars from me because 💖💖 however there is supposed to me more to a comic than just its art and in this case the plot just loses me after the first half. Like i get what they were going for but it just didnt work for me.
The story started off interesting, then when the plot started to pick up the story just took off at full speed tripped over every hurdle by thowing deaths that meant nothing (besides forcing Leslie to leave) and continuous plot twists at me,
Like that the wolf she loved in her past life was evil this whole time, that her best friend had an offscreen death that she was framed for, that her other best friend betrayed her and was promptly killed in front of her, she is now a fugitive on the run now there are psychic powers blah blah blah more people die blah you get it anyway it finally fell flat on its face with the big villain being revealed to be her mother.
(by the way I thought that the panels she was revealed with were weird )
Anyway by the end of the story it doesnt really feel like anything was resolved, what we got was all the bad guys dying also now leslie and khal are in love now?? I guess?? Also carol is running for mayor which makes more sense but... You know what, if the story was longer running maybe the plot would have felt better but as short as it is everything just felt smushed together 😞
( i just feel like if just one of the many plot twists were just not there or reversed (like the many betrayals that i had to read not happening)(like the mom not joining a cult and becoming a crazy person)(like the albino not being an evil villain with one emotion and zero remorse) then maybe story could've fit better into the amount that we got, personally i would have liked to see that last one. )

Aaaand the end ! This graphic novel is definitely inspired by Animal Farm . And that's one of my favourite books . I really enjoyed this series . It was fuuuun !! I mean if you don't mind looking at blood and ripping body parts then go ahead .Overall, It was a light read . :D
The ending was a bit weak compared to the rest of the story. The way the big evil was defeated felt like a rushed decision and made me pause. Cause like, THAT'S how it's defeated?
No creo. ¿Lo recomendaría leer? De nuevo, no.
Hm. I feel like this ended pretty weakly. The anti-miscegenation theme and social issue of pressure to couple and reproduce was a lot more interesting than the Albino thing. I don't think even that was resolved in a satisfying manner. SPOILER: Kind of a bucket of water to wicked witch thing that came out of left field. And suddenly the more interesting problem magically resolves, more or less. And I wasn't feeling the love interest setup, either. Low rating for this issue. I'd give the beginning of the series five stars.
That was an amazing ending and a truthful image of the hatred that often remains with ignorance. It was a story that leaves me with a couple of questions as to why he did what he did but also how she changed. I would love to see more of them but know that often the mystery leaves you able to imagine a better way yourself. I really enjoyed this series far more than I expected which was a nice surprise.
This was a phenomenal series. The story and art and characters were all great. I love the reflection of issues in our society but also love how it wasn't just obvious push towards that.
