God is dead, and Satan with him. In the aftermath of their titanic final battle, a dropout med student, an out of work screenwriter, and a middle schooler with a flair for comic books, struggle to survive in a world on the edge of collapse. A supreme avatar of evil rises from the body and blood of Satan, threatening total devastation and the last days of man. Now, two young men (and that frickin’ kid, too) must band together and stop the darkness before it spreads. In God’s Body they trust. This is the fall of the world as we know it.

From the opening lines of the story I was completely thunder-struck! The diversity of characters and the apocalyptic setting was truly amazing. The artwork throughout the book was an added bonus, tincturing just the right amount of anticipatory excitement as to what was to come next. The author's prose grabbed onto and held my attention from the start and I was able to complete the read in near just one sitting. It is evident the author is well versed in his craft; the editing very professional. I was thoroughly enraptured with this tale as its intertwining of Biblical quotes, along with it subtle political nuances, were well placed as were its action sequences and graphic depictions of humanity's destruction. Anyone who is into the science fiction/ religion genre, this one's for you!
Giant God and Giant Satan get into a fistfight on earth and the world is left to work through the results of it. I thought this was a really cool and interesting premise but the rest of the book just felt a little to simplified to really make a compelling story. If you’re looking for a simple read then this book could fill that niche but ultimately I was left unsatisfied with the story and characters.
Such a brilliant premise! I was delighted to receive a Kindle copy through a Goodreads giveaway.
Then a mess of poorly developed characters bouncing around until we get to the last few chapters where supernatural intervention stacks the deck for good overcoming evil, while humans try to destroy each other.
There's crazy good imagination in here, but most of the comic book roller coaster ride was just OK for me.
Epic beginning but a little confusing. Way too many characters to follow. Humorous and engaging, but I couldn't invest in all the characters like I wanted to. If there is a follow-up, I hope with less of a cast to follow.
