I’d been seeing signs for a while that I was going to meet the right guy soon, and so when one of my astrology clients, Claire, offered to fix me up with a hot guy she thought would be perfect for me, I was all in! It seemed she was right, too – Joshua is thoughtful, sexy and intelligent, if a little bit serious sometimes. It’s hard to believe he’s actually an astrologer, the same as me…
Joshua:
I wasn’t sure I wanted to be set up on a blind date, least of all by my uncle’s flaky wife Claire, but when she showed me the girl’s picture and I saw those beautiful eyes and gorgeous curves, I took a chance! It was definitely the right choice – Freya is fun, adventurous, and makes me feel so alive… It’s hard to believe she’s actually an astronomer, the same as me…
Starcrossed is a steamy, high heat BBW romance about an unlikely couple brought together by mistake, who turn out to be just perfect for each other despite their apparent differences! It is a short read (around 10k words) and contains hot scenes, a BBW heroine, instalove, and a happily ever after with no cliffhangers.
The great plot was well written and the characters were so well developed that as I turned each page the chemistry between the characters kept me totally hooked until the very last page!

A very, very short story about a couple set up on a blind date, Starcrossed is both sweet and sexy. The story follows Freya, an astrologer who lets the stars lead her life and who has a relaxed, carefree attitude. She is set up on a blind date with Joshua, who she believes to be in the same profession. They go on a date, then another, and things seem to be going very well... until Joshua realizes that Freya is an astrologer, not an astronomer. Joshua is a serious guy who studies the stars; Freya is carefree and follows the stars. Can these two total opposites really be perfect for each other?
It’s a cute book that moves extremely quickly - easily read in under an hour. For that reason, there isn’t a ton of depth and we don’t get to see the relationship evolve that much. There is some steam but not a ton, though it does happen very early on in the book (I guess that’s a given based on how short the story is). Freya is definitely pretty eccentric, as we see from the very beginning, but both characters are likeable. There wasn’t enough substance to the book for me to say that I really liked it - perhaps if there was more focus on one or two dates, written more in depth, things would’ve been different. It’s not a bad book, just a bit forgettable.

Starcrossed is about two people who both believe in the stars, but in very different ways, coming together. Freya is an astrologer who is set up on a blind date by a client with Joshua. Now she thinks Joshua is also an astrologer and that there HEA has been written in the stars especially since they also share the same birthday. However, Joshua is actually an astronomer. But he also was led to believe that she was an astrophysicist. It takes a few dates before they discover the mix-up, him not to happy about it but her rolling with it. He decides to keep quiet and gives things a try and surprisingly to him they do work quite well together.
This story is short, sweet and does have a HEA. Along the way there is a nice "lesson" if you are willing to open to it...............that not everything can be known and sometimes you just need to roll with life and have faith in the universe and allow it to have your back. I think that is something that way too many of us could be reminded of in this craze life that most of us lead.

Freya, an astrologer, is set up on a date with Joshua, an astrophysicist, by her client, who's the wife of his uncle. The only thing their careers have in common is the both occupations begin with "astro". As it turns out, they are perfect for each other. The relationship moves along quickly, especially after he stood up for her to his coworker. This was a nice story, not a lot of depth, but an enjoyable read nonetheless.

Ok, but I wish there had been some conflict Freya's an astrologer and her friend sets her up on a blind date with Joshua. Freya's been told that they are both in the same field of work but really Joshua is an astronomer. This little miscommunication doesn't hold them back. What will happen when Joshua's colleague belittles Freya's occupation. This is a fast read about two people destined to be together.

3.5 stars A short read about an astrologer and an astronomer with a flaky acquaintance that sets them up together, they may seem like the unlikeliest match but their difference make them perfect for each other.

This short romance was a sweet one as well. An astrologer and an astronomer are set up on a blind date. She is a little quirky and he is a serious kind of guy. Can they make their romance work despite their differences?

His aunt was hilarious, getting the two of their professions mixed up. It is a wonder that it took a bunch of dates for them to come across this mix up seeing as they talked for hours during their very first date, but perhaps if it was disclosed from the beginning, Joshua would have never given them a chance. Bravo!
Cute novella with some heartfelt meaning packed in. This could have been better if longer and more developed characters and story line. A lovely short though.

I enjoyed this short romance between the astrologer and astronomer! In 33 pages, they meet, are attracted immediately, make love and fall in love despite very different views of the world! Enjoyed this one as well as the others written by Chloe Ryder.
