The man who shows up at her table is a childhood friend she hadn’t seen in fifteen years. "The Replacement Date: A Short Story" by Tyora Moody
My Rationalization:
I enjoyed this short story that deals with Donna Madison who after five years after a divorce is going out on a date. How will this turn out for Donna as it seems she is surprised with a 'replacement' date who happens to be a childhood friend Maxwell? Will anything come out of this date for these two? Well, you will just have to pick up this short read to see how well- written this author gives us in this good read.
All I can say is please do this again. I like the Ms . E. Patterson series, but this is so special. Thank you for this quick relatable read and yes please give us more!!!!
This was a nice short story, I wanted a lil bit more and hope that is in the next book. I am happy Donna is receiving a second chance with her best friend, I look forward to the rest of their story.
I love reading Tyora Moody. Her writing is concise and filling. When you want a warm and fuzzy, clean feel good story, she is one for the job. I can relate to Donna and Maxwell's story. Now you know I have to read further to see what happens with these two.
I gave this short five stars because though it is a short it was filling. We met characters and learnt a little of their past. We even received a glimpse of what their future could be. I’m definitely interested in knowing next steps for Maxwell and Donna. It's tough joining a ready made family but what God puts together let no man put asunder.
I enjoyed this short story, old friend's love perhaps new romantic love. I liked the scenario of the meeting.
First book that I have read from this author. Her ideas are concise and clear, the grammar, spelling and editing is exceptional. I'm a perfectionist when reading. Writing, not so much. I enjoy these short stories, great for lunchtime reading or before bed after finishing a book early.
This was a great short story of two people reconnecting This is my first time reading this author and will definitely read Her stories again Even though this was a very short story I didn't feel that anything was left out The characters were relateable and the story was enjoyable I recommend it
Such a beautiful, well written love story. I definitely wanted more. I enjoyed every bit of it. You will not regret purchasing. I’m already reading more books from this author! Happy Reading. ♥️
Awww man! Way too short. I didn’t even realize it had ended until I got to the leave a comment page. This is just one of these stories that when you start expecting more it’s over and left up to your imagination. Good easy read .
Great, great read. From the start your presentation was inviting and I wanted to see where you were going. I was rooting for them to reconnect. Thank you. I look forward ro reading more of your work.
I would love to see how the friends transition into a life of love and marriage. As usual, I loved the childhood memories, and wonder why the love was not strong enough for marriage back then. A grand connection for friends and lovers having a second chance.
The reconnection of old friends brings about a renewed relationship between Donna and Maxwell. God always has the right timing. We just have to reset our clocks to His.
I liked this short story in book 1 of The Victory Gospel short stories. I can't wait to see how it all ends up for Donna and Maxwell. I'm looking forward to the rest of the stories.
Great read, I enjoyed the characters and storyline. Donna and Maxwell were childhood best friends who reconnected when her blind date didn’t show up. Here’s to possible new beginnings.
I really enjoyed reading this story about Donna and Maxwell. The story was well written. I would love to hear more about these two in the near future. I can't wait to read the other books in this series.
I love Tyora's stories! This is no exception. Childhood best friends, Maxwell and Donna, meet up in a different kind of circumstance and hit it off great. Will they make it? Time will tell.
This is just lovely and wholesome. I am anxious to see where Donna and Maxwell's renewed relationship is headed. I hope not too much drama is headed their way.
