This is a women who worked on the pro vaccine side until over a period of time she awoke and discovered the truth. This is an amazing book and at the end when she destroys Paul Offit and shows how much of a lying elitist pig he is, it's wonderful. Offit is the type of man that continues o spread fear and false vaccine propaganda and Dr. Humphries is the type to enlighten and banish fear. I am a new father and this is my third vaccine book and yes I have read one pro vaccine book just to be open minded. My little girl is now 4 months old and still vaccine free and still healthy and alive so I'm just going to keep arming myself with knowledge, because thats all we can do as parents guys.
1/1/17 Update: I Now have 2 girls. my oldest is 3 going on 4 and my youngest is 1 going on 2. My oldest has had one vaccine to date, MMR. My youngest has had none and my wife and I do not get any shots. My youngest daughter got pertussis one month after my first review when and was 5 months old, you can imagine I was questioning whether or not I had made the right decision; my faith and knowledge was put to the test. She had a mild form of the whoop and long story short we made it out with no problems. She does now have a natural immunity to the whoop which is good, it doesn't mean she's immune but if she ever did get it again it would be more mild then the first time. My oldest and I also got hand foot and mouth this year in 2016 and there is no vaccine for this and is rare in adults but guess what me and my girl pulled thru this too! Don't let MSM, academia, & Hollyweird scare you silly. Humanity has made it a long time without any assistance. I am not against vaccines, i just don't want anyone telling me when and why I have to give them to my child. I have read 4 books
A anti vaccine book, a pro vaccine book, a neutral vaccine book and this book about the history of disease and vaccines. I have read hundreds of articles and watched countless hours of documentaries and other media, I have done my home work for myself and my family and only ask that I be free to make my own choices.

7/25/21 Update: I now have 3 children, two girls and one boy, they are 8,6 and 4. We decided a few years back to try and stop this insanity of not vaccinating our kids so we could be normal like all of our friends/Family who don't worry about such things as what pediatrician will see our kids, what school will teach our kids, ya know normal things normal people don't loose sleep over. We decided to begin vaccinating our two girls slowly just to show the catholic school we were "trying" to get them caught up, just so they would accept them into the class of 2019. To make a long story short we got the girls two shots that had a total of 5 vaccines in them, a 2 in 1 and a 3 in 1. A few weeks later my middle child's only issue was she was born premature was perfectly healthy for the first 4 years of her life vaccine free, after those 5 vaccines (given in one day in only two "jabs") she starts having some intense mood swings, and also begins to wet the bed, and by the end right before we went to see the pediatrician she was so thirsty it was ludicrous, so by the 8th week we decided it was definitely time to get her seen. We go to the pediatrician, she notices the very high blood sugar and sends us to CHOP here in Philadelphia, where we spend 3 nights and learn how to treat our newly diagnosed Type 1 diabetic 4 year old. *She was diagnosed 1/22/20 so we have now been dealing with this for some time.* Enter July 2021 - Here we are living with our decision to get her vaccinated and told by all the "professionals" that they are unsure why people get T1D, HA!!! You out there who are reading this have read what I have about this disease and its connection and know what I know it makes my stomach turn to think we got soft enough to give it a go. Ok, back on track with my story, so my wife and I need to be "normal" again in an abnormal world, we opted out of Catholic school last year for our girls because of C19 and enrolled them in Virtual, which was great and they learned way faster with me breathing down their neck rather than ....(sorry I just had to stop to take my daughters blood and inject her with insulin so she can have breakfast)... being at school with 30 kids per room. However even the Virtual school was harassing us about their immunization records that we provided with such little shots on it they wanted them to have them all, even though they sat behind a screen 100% of the school year. (I am their father btw and my wife and I have our own business, which made virtual school a possibility) Ahhh people we have so much to catch up on and such little time. Here's the deal we want to send them back to school so we can work and make some $$$ but no school will take them at this rate, especially now with C19 and everyone and their mothers now involved in debating Vax vs UnVax, we just want to be normal and make our own decisions but we are not allowed, freedom is an illusion it's comply or die. You either do what you're told or you will not be allowed to participate in this crap society they are making for us to bleat around in. We either sacrifice all of our kids at the alter of the collective good or hide in our house like troglodytes until we figure out what to do. Our Catholic school (My parents went to, me and my wife went to, our kids went to) sent home a letter from the office of the poop I mean pope and it stated that "they are aware of the fact that some vaccines are made with fetal cells but since we are not the ones responsible for the death of those fetuses that its ok to take the vaccine", so shut up and take the shot and give us all your money if you want to come to our school. You are probably asking about my other daughter who got the same shot, she is fine, and my son is 4 and hasn't had a single shot and he is healthy as a horse. This is a warning people, going down this road and reading these books, having these discussions, making these choices for your kids offers nothing but pain, these societies around the planet don't like us thinking for ourselves, its too dangerous for them for us to think, so strap on your Nikes, log into your fantasy football league, make some comments on FB and stay there where its normal and safe, because this path that I am on is a frigging nightmare. My wife and I often say how amazing it would have been to remain ignorant (we mean it and we don't at the same time) but this path is a dead end that leads to a cliff, we are totally lost as to where to go so unless someone hovers over head in the Helicopter and drops down a ladder to rescue our family and show us the way we are totally F*@!ed. Even our state of PA wants proof of Vax if we go the route of legit homeschooling, so are we supposed to forgo indoctrination I mean education for our kids and hide in a cave for the rest of our lives ? Well, Ladies and Gentlemen that's where we are at if you were wondering and if anyone has a helicopter to get us off this cliff I am ready to leave Rod Serling's unwritten masterpiece episode that he could have only dreamed of. HELP!!!
P.S. I wonder if this addition to my review will be allowed to remain here or will it be erased for misleading information, (enter moaning ghost spooky sound effects, think Beetlejuice). Also I have no evidence that what I say is true but my gut tells me it is and even if I did have evidence who would care? exactly, no one. VARES is operated by the same people who work for the pharmaceutical companies, its a revolving door and no one is responsible for the jabs, no doctor can be sued nor can the companies that made the jabs, its one big joke and some are lucky and get no adverse reactions and others are not, but if the majority benefits who cares about the ones that don't, right ? Utilitarianism at all costs, full steam ahead! Dang it , I am thinking too much again! Good Luck people, you will need lots and lots of it. Maybe I'll be able to write you guys a review in the future while in the Gulag for my thought crimes and actions against the greater good.
11/24/22 Update: We moved! We're now out of the tyrannical city of brotherly murder and into a new county in Pennsylvania. Our Kids are now 9/7/5 and all are in school, we filled out an exemption form that the state allows and handed it into the school, and we have had no difficulties to date from the school about our decision. We also found a pediatrician that allows our kids to be patients at her practice, first time in 7 years we weren't kicked out of a doctors office. She was kind to all 3 of my kids and naturally asked me about my decision to which I kept the answer brief. She said it was no problem and if we ever changed our minds she was there for us, WOW, what a different feel compared to those "clear liquid, no ingredients you can understand pushes" back in the city of brotherly homicides. I also became friends with a farmer who's 3 kids are older than mine and 100% unvaccinated so I have someone to talk to for the first time about that who is on the same page, very rare to find this day and age. I'm not sure how long they will allow me to continue this comment / blog here but they've already deleted a book that I've read and commented on , now its just called "no book" and there's no picture and my comment was removed, don't ask me the book it's not the point, my point is this could very well become erased someday if I continue my "anti science misinformation" stuff here.......... Suzanne Humphries is a former kidney specialist who by her own account became frustrated with hospital guidelines calling for immunization of hospitalized patients, claiming detrimental effects of vaccines that were not evident to her colleagues. She has since quit her practice, espoused homeopathy (the idea that drugs diluted beyond the point that any molecules remain in solution somehow work to cure disease) and crusaded against vaccination.
Humphries' book is founded on denial that vaccines have been responsible for vastly reducing or eliminating dangerous infectious diseases like smallpox, measles and polio. She instead credits better nutrition and sanitation for these advances, despite these factors having little or nothing to do with disease etiology in many cases (polio for instance became a serious crippling threat _because_ of better sanitation in the mid-20th century, which delayed onset of disease until children were older and more prone to develop paralytic polio). She consistently exaggerates or invents vaccine harms while falsely minimizing the dangers of vaccine-preventable diseases.

Good nutrition and sanitation haven't prevented mortality and morbidity on a vast scale in affluent countries. Sound public health measures including vaccination are leading the way to the end of the pandemic.

Highly recommended! Dr. Suzanne Humphries is a true doctor( a nephrologist) who actually speaks the truth regarding vaccines. In her practice, she started becoming aware of her patients developing kidney failure especially following the flu vaccine administration. She was shunned by her esteemed colleagues for even questioning vaccines in the medical establishment. She illustrates how many diseases were declining prior to the introduction of vaccines. The book highlights the awful living conditions, where impoverished people lived in over crowded cities, living in filth and throwing feces and urine in the streets, eating diseased meats and infested produce. The book also addresses children as young as three years old worked 10-12 hour days in mines and other places with no ventilation, inhaling coal dust and other noxious fumes and rarely saw the daylight back in the 1800's. It is no wonder why people were immune suppressed. Makes one wonder if vaccines eradicated any disease.

An eye-opening book that anyone interested in vaccines and the history of infectious diseases should read. Dissolving Illusions is meticulously researched and footnoted. Reading it is an undertaking--the book is 479 pages long--but it's worth it. Dr. Suzanne Humphries, M.D., and her co-author Roman Bystrianyk, present the other side of the story: the forgotten history the role of poor hygiene, crowding, malnutrition, and harmful medical practices have played in the spread of lethal disease.

Gates also has heavy positions in Gilead, Biogen, AstraZeneca, Moderna, Moderna, Novavax, and Inovio.
Gates gets credit for being a philanthropist, but when the gov't buys these vaccines Bill Gates gets richer.

It doesn't surprise me. Much of news media is struggling financially. For 30 years, I covered the Silicon Tech biz as a reporter and author. But as far as I can see, investigative journalism is almost dead. One study showed that reporters at name-brand publications got 43% of their story ideas from what's trending on Twitter.

Wow. If you still think the vaccines of the past and present are the cats meow after reading this heavily referenced 500 page tome, then... I dunno... I suppose you'd probably be a Trump supporter as well. Even if you didn't read any of the book and just studied the tables and graphs, they speak for themselves and would be more than enough to nail the "vaccines as savior" coffin. How many times must we learn that there are no magical pills, potions, lotions or injections that will ensure good health? It's so cliché, but still so true that health comes from giving the body what it needs in the right "Goldilocks" proportions (good clean food, water and air, exercise, sunlight, etc) and avoiding what hurts it (living in filth, being stressed to the max, poor posture, etc). Thank you Dr. Humphries for this gift and for challenging our sacred cows!!!

The topic of vaccination elicits strong reactions usually either definitely for or against. Humphries' book falls toward the negative and she provides gobs of graphs and statistics to validate her point of view -- which is that the incidence of disease was decreasing with increased sanitation and improved living conditions and there was no need for vaccines at all. They do more harm than good.
My own opinions run somewhere down the middle and my concerns have more to do with the unknowns of immunology than with the vaccines themselves. And money and power as motivating factors.

A really thorough look at the ineffectiveness of vaccination through history from its early beginnings sloshing around diseased animal pus to... well... we're still sloshing around diseased animal pus. Will we look back at the era of vaccination as we now look at leeching or phrenology? It would be great to have doctors say "we don't really know" instead of repeating the confidences of a greedy pharmaceutical industry.

Ok, first thing to note with this book in the climate on Vax vs. Anti-Vax as it pertains to COVID 19...this book was published in 2013 so it was not written in an effort to capitalize on the controversy around the current world wide vaccine mandates and everything attendant to that.
With the above stated...much of the rhetoric used to push compulsory vaccines now could have been ripped from the headlines on the late 1800's and up through various pandemics in the 1900's and on into the early 2000's.
I have always believed in vaccines...all 8 of my children have received all vaccines required and recommended to attend school...My wife and I both are the same...through our childhood we received every recommended and required vaccine our doctors told us to...I wish I had read this book or that a book like this had been available so I could have said my decisions surrounding vaccinations for myself and my children fell into the informed consent category. Like so many I have never had cause to question the validity of the medical community...my father is a doctor in his 6th decade of practice. My oldest daughter is a nurse...but this book really opened my eyes to the possibility that what has been recommended might not be in the best interest of my or my family's health.
The vaccine industry in our world is a multibillion dollar cash cow, Pfizer is showing gross profits of 37 billion dollars this quarter...while less than 10 years ago the company had to pay the largest settlement ever due to fraudulent business practices...governments worldwide are pushing for vaccines mandates in order to travel...go to the store...or even hold a job?!?! VAERS data indicates very likely and troubling adverse reactions with the COVID vaccine...but it is full steam ahead with the most heavy handed punitive consequences for refusing an experimental vaccine...why???
but I digress....this book really delves into the history of vaccination. The authors do a remarkable job of researching publicly available information from the 1800's and 1900's to show how the vaccine establishment has mislead people as to the efficacy of the vaccines starting with small pox and addressing whooping cough, polio, chick pox and measles. The provide alternative interpretations of the data that are very compelling showing that improved nutrition, public sanitation, and diet had cause drops in the mentioned diseases of 95%-99% before there were any vaccines available for those illnesses....
Anyway I listened to this book and read it so I could highlight salient points. I highly recommend it especially to anyone that has had the current vaccine uproar confuse them...now that some people are looking at 4th boosters with the promise of requiring more and more shots it might be wise to give this book a read and see if any clarity can be found.

The author's painstaking review of historical data provides stark insight into the sheparding of the masses into mandatory vaccinations. Incredibly, we are now getting to the point where the public was in the 1700s; questioning and refusing the government mandated intrusion into our lives and bodies.
For those who cannot slug through almost 500 pages of drudged up data that one is happier not knowing, the author's used bold typeface for some of the most important information - headlines if you will. (I would have applied bold face type on twice as many sentences if I were the author!) Sifting through the book reading only the "headlines" and glancing at the graphs of epidemiological data, one could get the gist of the level of misrepresentation behind the vaccine debacle. Or you could pick this book up at the library and read the last chapter on "Belief and Fear." Spoiler alert: here are portions of this:

Once you realize this is all bogus, partially revealed “information” and that the people writing have absolutely zero credentials for doing so, you realize you’re being scammed. This book is exactly what is so wrong with so much of America today. We haven’t raised thinkers, we’ve raised followers. You give people just enough information to hang themselves and they will. Every time. I’m all for free speech, I’m all for everyone being in charge of their own bodies, I’m also all for dissemination of the whole truth and all the facts, which this book purports to be and definitely is not.

Eye-opening
I have had my doubts about the truth of the history of vaccines and what it does to kids today. This book slowly, thoroughly and plainly revealed the true history of disease and vaccinations (and almost entirely avoided the autism question). The authors’ agenda appear to be nothing further than revealing the truth that has been hidden under decades of misinformation and propaganda.

FANTASTIC book! The title is well chosen...I cannot believe how we've completely disregarded history in the case of vaccines (or rather, continued to tout incorrect assumptions about their history- case in point, smallpox!). This book is carefully cited and well put together. Great read! Best book that I've ever picked up on the topic of vaccines.

This book offers a very good history of infectious disease with plenty of footnotes and apparently reputable sources. In that it is educational and I praise it. However, that is not the point of the book. The point of the book is to argue that vaccination is ineffective and, indeed, harmful. Again, it is thoroughly footnoted and it certainly cannot be said that the author did not back up her arguments. I would expect that it would be very convincing to the layman and I am a layman. It would have been very convincing to me, as a layman, except for one big thing that bothers me. That is that I am aware that a very large majority of highly trained medical professionals would strenuously disagree with it. The author actually acknowledges that, but in a way that the medical establishment is depicted as unjustly persecuting her. That makes me suspicious because that is exactly what most all crackpots claim. The author also points out that we should not believe something just because someone in authority says it. I agree with that. No matter how authoritative a source is it still has to have evidence to back up its positions or those positions are worthless. But, as a layman, I really don't know what evidence those highly trained medical professionals have to refute the contentions made in this book. What it comes down to is that I am too ignorant to properly assess how well this book makes its point. For that reason I will give it a neutral three stars until and if I learn more about virology.

If you see my rating you would suspect that I am an anti-vaxxer. I am not, I just believe that we should not get vaccinated under coercion, especially when we are bombarded by tons of conflicting information. In advanced societies, people have been taught from a very early age to question, to research and to not take anything at one's words. I find it weird that those who have decided to postpone their vaccination schedule are getting labeled as selfish, inconsiderate to others, even stupid and enemies of reason . Things are quite murky; we hear news about people getting severe side effects, about other who did not. We read laudatory articles on the efficacy of vaccines, we read others that point out the benefits of a naturally induced immunity. We hear that Japan found foreign matters in the imported vaccines .. What are we to do then ? Do our own research. Explore both sides of the vaccines debate. I started with a thoroughly documented and well researched book full of charts and statistics that states that the advent of vaccines took place when the fatality rate of deadly viruses had already started to dwindle.
The salient points of this book are: 1/Vaccines were put into use when the deadly viruses and bacteria had almost faded away. 2/Filth, contaminated water and milk, cramped and musty rooms, harsh working conditions, poor diet.. were the vector of illness. There had been a dramatic health improvement when the population worked less hours ( mothers could then nurse their children and take a good care of them) , when it started to have access to clean water, when it had a better diet 3/ Vaccines had severe side effects that were hidden from the general public, especially the vaccines made from other animals' cells 4/ Natural immunity is much better than a vaccine-induced immunity 5/ There had been numerous protestation movements against compulsory vaccination, the most notable one is the Leicester anti-vaccination movement. This movement proved effective in dealing with the smallpox without resorting to vaccines 6/ It is absurd to vaccinate a whole population for a mild disease that is generally fought off with natural immunity 7/ We were led to believe that DDT and smoking are healthy and even research papers, financed by big lobby groups, were published proving the benefits of DDT and smoking... These are the point I can recall now without seeing my notes, the book has much more interesting information

What an excellent, but daunting read. I was very familiar with a lot of this information going in, but it has been several years since I had really refreshed my knowledge on vaccines, the history of vaccines, side effects, and the parents who came before us and fought ( and were sometimes thrown in prison) for the right to choose to withhold from vaccinations for their children. Dr Humphries did an excellent job researching and siting the information she shared in this book. As always, the questioning usually starts when someone, a parent or doctor sees an alarming pattern of issues in their loved ones or those they treat. I long for the way when vaccine manufacturers are held liable again, nurses and doctors aren’t forced to take vaccines to continue in their career and we stop using experimental vaccines on those who are disabled and unable to defend themselves, our military service members, and people of color in third would countries. If you don’t believe this is possibles, you really do not have to look very far back in American history to see the medical experiments done on these groups of people. Vaccine injury has been around since the start and hasn’t gone away, we’ve just worked extra hard to shut these parents and adults up. And of the most important note, there has been no double blind placebo testing on a single vaccine on the market, and we have no tire safety data. Where there is risk there must be choice. Worth a read for any parent, adult who needs to get “up to date”, or medical professionals.

Full of history, citing medical journals and newspapers from the 1800-1900s on most every page. These 2 authors share their research on the rise and fall of smallpox and polio. I'm almost halfway through the book and still reading about smallpox. This book is helping me slowly wrap my mind around whats happening today - we are repeating history, and lot of it is scary and bad, the foundations of which are based on beliefs and law precedences set in the time period in this book. I highly recommend it! Full of food for thought.

What More Evidence Could We Possibly Need?
I doubt that anyone has written a more thorough history of vaccination in the USA and Great Britain than the authors of this book. It is so totally thorough and above reproach (let’s face it, it has to be in this day and age where anyone even hinting at questioning a vaccine is nailed to a proverbial cross) that the only people who could possibly have an issue with it are those who have a vested interest in suppressing the truth along their stupid little trolls, both paid and unpaid. The trolls themselves are incapable of intelligent thought, lack morality of any kind, and more than likely haven’t even touched the book let alone read it. Read their reviews and you’ll see what I mean.
The book goes back to the good old days were living in squalor and filth were the norm and people died of all sorts of diseases caused by exposure to dirty sewage, rancid food, and other equally deplorable conditions. Animals were diseased and disease all around was a way of life. The diseases of the day are covered in descriptive detail in the book.
Next, the authors move onto smallpox and the first vaccine. History is quite a bit different than the party line that this vaccine “eradicated smallpox.” It did not, quite the contrary. Lots of information on contaminated vaccines is offered before moving onto polio, pertussis, and measles. The book winds up explaining the critical importance of vitamin C and other lost remedies many of which are likely to be sitting in your homes right now. This part is pure gold. If you think allopathic medicine and a white coat is the ONLY option, you are not going to see the value. That’s a crying shame, maybe not so much for you personally but your children.
This is a long and detailed read. It was indeed a slow one and if you are like me, someone with firm reading goals, you might feel impatient with the slower pace but it is well worth your time to read this book cover to cover. However, even if you don’t and you skip around, read only pertinent sections at a time or spend more time just covering graphs and data, it is all time well spent. The sections on natural and lost remedies alone are worth the price of the book even if only to ameliorate the fear surrounding any illness by balancing it with a sense of individual empowerment.
JFK once stated that the one thing worse than a lie is the myth perpetuated by that lie. Vaccines are perhaps the biggest modern example of a lie told so many times over that it is unquestionably and with no thought required accepted as a universal truth. This is the comfortable choice. However, what you don’t know can hurt you.

Very informative. Great book on the history of diseases and the highly charged subject of vaccinations. Kudos to Dr. Humphries.
There is a lot to take in especially being a layperson but I plowed through it and looked up words I didn't know. Could the reason there are so many vaccines in today's childhood schedules be that the vaccines are just not working? So let's continue to inject aluminum, thimerasol, formaldehyde, etc. along with whatever antigens for a vaccine(s) that will maybe only immunize the child for 5 years? 10 years? or possibly not at all since vaccinated children still get the measles (and other diseases) and could still shed the measles? So many chapters I need to reread.
Still trying to wrap my head around fact that the CDC is mandating 3-4x times the amount of vaccines since the 50's. This is a subject that keeps me up at night. It breaks my heart as I read more and more stories of vaccine-damaged children, cases that are not even reported to VAERS because nurses don't know to report them or are discounted by doctors as unrelated injuries or death (SIDS) even though listed as contraindications on the vaccine inserts. Inserts can be found online. But how do parents even know which vaccine their child is given. The doctors certainly don't give you the insert information or do they? And if they do, most likely it's after injection.

It is a compelling book about the history of hygiene, vaccine development, and nutrition. I appreciated the practicality of the last chapters in which Humphries lets you know about the nutrition that has been proved to help the body heal from acute illnesses.

What an eye-opener and what a reminder of History!
Dissolving Illusions was an illuminating read!
I knew the field of medicine was bad but I never knew how bad and for how long it’s been bad!
It is essential for readers to read the “Author’s Notes” as it contains information that will lead to more discovery. I found the Index thorough and integral to the book.
I appreciate how Dr. Humphries was able to admit how wrong she was to believe in medicine (at face value) she hadn’t first researched.
I appreciate how the authors included what causes the spread of diseases. I also like how the authors help us to realize how good health lies with a healthy immune system that happens when we eat healthy, a healthy mindset, a healthy lifestyle and good sanitation conditions.
Authors Humphries and Bystrianyk did an exemplary job in researching topics and including the history that is relevant to confirming and proving their findings.
I like how the authors demonstrated how diseases are environmental and/or manufactured by authorities most readers will recognize.
The History written will awaken memories of those who are old enough to remember. Those who are too young to remember will receive an education so badly needed.
Things to Ponder
--Whooping cough mortality had declined by more than 90 percent before the DTP vaccine was introduced.
Dissolving Illusions is a book every discerning individual will want to read as it contains information that can protect not only themselves but their children from vaccine injury.

Great book! Walks you through the history of Smallpox, Polio, measles, and, briefly, whooping cough, cholera, scurvy, and scarlet fever. Discusses the history of the diseases, the impact of modernization, clean water, and sewer systems.
She also discusses the immune system, the cascade of events following vaccination, and the unbelievable amounts of fear and propaganda surrounding vaccines from the very beginning!
People were fined and jailed for not getting smallpox vaccines!!!! Sounds familiar…
You could probably write an entire book just reviewing this book!
The basic facts presented are that all major diseases were in steep decline before vaccines were available, and that vaccines had no statistical significance on their decline. Also that proper nutrition and supplementation can vastly improve outcomes with no side effects.
Loved how the book ended with lots of sources on disease being treated historically with food and juice and herbs. So cool! I didn’t know any of that!
She ended by dismantling a few of Dr. Offit’s claims and quotes from his book promoting vaccines and pointed out that he didn’t back up several of his strongest arguments with data, facts, sources, or graphs.
Highly recommend!
If I ever had any doubts about my choices surrounding vaccines for me and my family, this book only made them significantly smaller.

You could probably write an entire book just reviewing this book!
The basic facts presented are that all major diseases were in steep decline before vaccines were available, and that vaccines had no statistical significance on their decline. Also that proper nutrition and supplementation can vastly improve outcomes with no side effects.
Loved how the book ended with lots of sources on disease being treated historically with food and juice and herbs. So cool! I didn’t know any of that!
She ended by dismantling a few of Dr. Offit’s claims and quotes from his book promoting vaccines and pointed out that he didn’t back up several of his strongest arguments with data, facts, sources, or graphs.
Highly recommend!
If I ever had any doubts about my choices surrounding vaccines for me and my family, this book only made them significantly smaller.

Anyone who isn't questioning vaccine science, who is just listening to news media and big pharma representatives and making their decision to vaccinate on that information is really lost in the world and should read this book! The science ISN'T settled, as you will find out. Humpries was an MD, a Nephrologist for 19 years, working in the hospital and started to notice patients coming in who had just been vaccinated and their kidneys went into total shutdown. When she questioned hospital administration about the possibilty of vaccines causing kidney problems and also requested to stop routine flu and pneumonia shots on her patients she was met with great resistance, which eventually caused her to walk away from her job and to be on the side of truth, working as an educator. Her book lays out the history of vaccines starting from the 1800's going through actual historical documents. There is one chapter dedicated to the disappearance of Polio, which is where everyone goes to say "we know vaccines work because polio was erradicated". Well it wasn't because of the vaccine, but I won't spoil it, just read the book!

This book is definitely a must read. It describes in detail the history of diseases and vaccines. Much of history has been forgotten, ignored, or data falsified.It discusses the horrible living conditions in the past with resulting diseases. It talks about the importance of nutrition and vitamins and so-called disappearance of polio. Smallpox is discussed as well as whooping cough, measles, diphtheria, and many other dangerous diseases of the past. It talks about government propaganda and falsifying reports. This book was quite an eye-opener and yet it didn't surprise me as I see history repeating itself once again. If there is one thing that we can learn from history is that is exactly what it will do if we continue to ignore it. I am seriously considering purchasing a hard copy of this very important book.

I would highly recommend this comprehensive, well-researched and informative book as an alternative to the fear mongering of the media and big pharma. Using numerous graphs, charts, books and medical journals, this book illustrates the decline of infectious diseases prior to the invent of vaccines. The book is a bit academic/research laden, so if you don’t want to or aren’t able to read the whole thing then I would recommend reading the chapter on polio which was most illuminating. What has always concerned me the most is that money and power continue to be the primary motivating factors in immunology, an area of which there continues to be so many unknowns.

She provides graphs & charts from the data she collected and she makes sure everything is referenced and has links. This is the proof that vaccines are neither safe nor effective, & also the proof of the sweet truth of how vaccines played little to no part in eradicating any disease in the history of man.
