Princess Alba and her friends at the Dragon Mage Academy decide they are ready to battle the Forgotten Fairy King to protect the dragons of Mount Fornax from being enslaved again by their creator. They spend time finding out about the defenses and trying to prepare themselves, but naturally they are really not ready. Alba finally comes clean about who she really is and drops her disguise in order to lead the troops. She manages to appoint her chief lieutenants to head up some of her attackers, while she leads the rest of them into what turns out to be the main attack. Since the only one who has ever seen the Forgotten Fairy King is Gladius, the dragon who was his mount, it becomes quite a battle. I thought this ending to the series was quite appropriate, and I think you will enjoy it too.

I liked the series, but was frustrated at the end of each book with the cliffhanger that forces you into the next book - more like the ending of a chapter. Nice wrap up, though. I would have liked an epilogue giving us glimpses into how things go back to normal at the Academy, Alba and Niger's future, Stafford and Evolene's romance, how Gladius fits in to the dragon society and the school, the real reason Alba's mother has come to terms with her mate's happiness, the quadruplets, where Master Jesper winds up since he was temporarily assigned to stay and help the Academy, and what happens to King Magnar and his sisters and their kingdom now that their father is vanquished. Whew. Castel did pull quite a few threads together in the last chapters, but more could have been done with Chrysus since he was such a powerful help at the end.

The ultimate ending!

Well I've made it to the end of this series and I'm sorry it's over! The final battle against the Forgotten King was so intense, I was on the edge of my seat. When Alba almost died I was in tears. Ms. Castel has written a series full of memorable characters and moments, and have to admit that I was really happy when the doctor declared Alba and Niger to be perfect match. I'm looking forward to reading more of this author's work. Thank you for the great reads!!

The finale of the series, it brings all the events together and smooths out all the wrinkles, filling in what had been apparent plot holes. Very well done. I really do like how this went. Each book leads to the next. The transition is smooth. The plots are clear and well done. Everything links together. And in the end, the heroine (Alba) actually learns as much as she does things. She grows up a bit in each book, including this one.

This was great.

I absolutely love this story. The MC is strong funny and kick ass. I appreciate that we finally got everything cleared up and she didn't fall for the stupid King. I loved this series and am sad to read the end.

What a series

Cordelia Castel’s Dragon Mage Academy series is full of adventure, wonderful characters, a touch of romance and lots and lots of Dragons. I know I’ll be reading it again and I recommend it to teens and adults.

Very enjoyable great reading

I really enjoyed this series and I am glad that everything worked out for Alba and her friends and family.I would have liked to see a little more of a future for Alba and Niger to see how things were going.

Very good read. Liked the characters. It really got to be too much to believe the deference that was shown to a 17 year old. But that was the problem throughout the entire series. I would still read the series again though.

As the ending to a series, this was really great. I’m totally down with edge of your seat antics leading you to believe maybe there won’t be a happy ending. On the whole, there are some definite ups and downs in this series, but I loved reading it. Well worth it.

Excellent finish!

Albert exposed! Princess Alba has removed her glamor making her appear as male. She's worried that her fellow cadets won't follow her as a female, but it was not an issue. Together they will take on the Forgotten King and hopefully destroy him. Plenty of action and twists, with great characters and world building!

Super great quest, but abrupt ending for the series. Lots of small loose ends and glosses over characters that deserve an epilogue or something.

This is a great book and it's my favorite book in this series except for the first one! I'm always a sucker for a happy ending through all the twists and shocks that befall them.

I do not think that this was a great ending, everything ends up going Albas way. She was like infused with magic to keep her alive. Like seriously what?

Finished it in a morning. Felt more like a continuation of the previous book (as in they could've been one). Good finish for the series. Hopefully the youngsters can start focusing on school and leave saving the kingdom to the super powerful adults after this 😂
