Alpha Girl #9

Alpha Erased

Rate this book
From USA Today Bestselling Author Aileen Erin

Tessa—part witch, part werewolf, raised human and now the unofficial leader of a newly minted supernatural alliance—thinks nothing of her brother, Axel, texting her and Dastien to meet him. The location pin was in a weird spot, but maybe he’d found a magical anomaly there. But when Tessa steps into the darkened warehouse, she doesn’t expect to see her brother laying in a pool of his own blood, smell the sulfuric scent of black magic, or feel the pain of her mate being shot full of silver.

Tessa has seconds to make a choice, but there’s only one thing she can do to save the two most important men in her life—sacrifice herself.

The last thing Dastien hears from Tessa was her plea—help Axel.
But then their bond goes silent. He can’t hear her. He can’t feel her. And there’s no sign of the attackers who took her.

Dastien does everything he can to save Axel before calling his friends in a panic. It takes all of them to find Tessa, but when Dastien’s finally reunited with her, there’s no sign of recognition in her eyes.

No magic in her touch.

No wolf beneath the surface.

Everything that made Tessa who she was…has been erased.

Dear readers, be advised.

WARNING: The LIBRARIAN GENERAL has determined that AILEEN ERIN novels can be HIGHLY ADDICTIVE!

Side effects may include:

Uncontrollable binge reading
Book hangovers
Extreme nail biting
Ocasional tears
Random outbursts of joy
Intense feelings of love for fictional characters

I’ve read every one of the ALPHA books, and I ADORE them ALL!!!!

Alpha Erased is a brilliant conclusion to an epic saga. I would be begging for more if it weren’t for the upcoming SAMANTHA TRILOGY, not to mention ON MISSION, both of which I would like someone to put in my hands right now, please and thank you.

In the words of Ronnie Chieng, “I need it NOW!!!”

Okay, look, I’ll try to be patient. I will. But I get just as excited for each new book as I do for entire new seasons of my favorite Netflix series.

I can’t wait to dive into them, and they NEVER disappoint!

In Alpha Erased, Tessa disappears. I honestly think I missed her as much as Dastien did, which is saying a lot. If you care about this couple as much as I do, the first half of this book will be brutal to read, especially amid social distancing and all the people we’re missing right now.

Keep tissues handy.

Dastien’s looking for her everywhere, but nothing’s working. Leads turn into dead ends. Magic is failing him. Even the fey are powerless to help. And he can’t feel their bond.

But take heart! All your favorite characters will show up to lend their support.

It’s like an Avengers movie, with werewolves.

Speaking of which, if you’ve never read the Alpha books, don’t start with this one. You won’t get nearly as much out of it if these characters aren’t already your 20+ best friends.

Start with Becoming Alpha and read them straight through.

Then, while you’re waiting for the SAMANTHA SERIES (omg happy dance!!!), read Off Planet and Off Balance. One of my favorite scenes of any book or movie of all time takes place in Off Balance, by the way. Just saying.

I know, I know, I’m supposed to be talking about this book. But I have a firm policy of never including spoilers in any review, and in the words of Iñigo Montoya, “Let me explain … no, there is too much.”

I refuse to spoil ANYTHING about this BRILLIANT series that you just have to read for yourself. I will only say this:

There were parts where I was so worried, I was ready to throw my Kindle off a mountain. And parts where I was so happy, I cried.

Reading doesn’t get any better than that. #AileenErin #BookLife

This book ships TODAY, May 12!!!

My sincere and humble thanks to the author for letting me read an early review copy on Net Galley.

Where do I even begin to write this review? This book was such a journey! We finally got Dastien’s POV, but I’ve known his character so long it’s like I’d already been in his head before. I did enjoy seeing so much more of him, though. There’s a whole new side of Dastien introduced in this book that broke me, but it was also addicting to read. Only Alieen Erin’s books can keep me as hooked as they do. I don’t get excited over other books as much as I do with this series. Sometimes I do get mad at myself for reading these books so fast, but I can’t help it!

One thing I especially enjoyed in this book was seeing Chris and Cosette. They were so good with Dastien, and they could be really funny at times. I’m just saying - that Target trip and the party were some of the best scenes. I wish so badly that I could see that painting Chris did - or even own it.

I also enjoyed seeing more of Samantha, and I really cannot wait for her series!!! I especially want to know what’s going on with her and Eli😏😏😒 I am sad that Alpha Girls is being put on hold, but as long as all my favorite couples make guest appearances, I’ll be fine.

My favorite part, though, is just Tessa and Dastien. They are my OTP😂 I can’t really say anything without spoiling, but I love them as a couple.

I hope this review was helpful and that you read this series!

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

I was recently hit with the urge to reread pretty much every book in the Alpha Girls series, and wow have I been blown away. It doesn’t matter that I’ve read some of these books 3 or 4 times each now - they never cease to make me smile and hook me until I’ve devoured them (even though I have the plot and dialogue practically memorized at this point 😂). It takes an incredibly special book to do that to a person, and this series has NINE books just like that

As I reread them, it brings bittersweet moments of both pure joy from the characters and sadness that I can never read them for the first time again. I have literally grown up on these books and they will forever hold a place in my heart. I am so, so excited as we get closer and closer to the release of “Invocation,” and I just cannot wait to have a fresh Aileen Erin book to crack open. This series means so much to me and I hope you decide to read it 🫶

Alpha Erased (Alpha Girls Book 9) by Aileen Erin

05-15: I've been wanting to read 'Alpha Erased (Alpha Girls Book 9)' by Aileen Erin for months. Literally since the cover was unveiled, it grabbed my attention and the synopsis sounded incredibly tense.

According to the blurb, the story is about Tessa, a twenty-one year old girl who's part witch and part werewolf, but 100% the unofficial leader of a supernatural alliance known as 'The 13.'

The group basically spends their nights fighting off everything bad-- vampires, fey, demons, you name it. Initially, that's where we find them, waking up to a battle. But after the end of what seems to be more of a minor skirmish, she gets a desperate call from her brother, Axel. Then she, her mate Dastien, and a couple others go tearing off to try to save him.

Faced with an impossible choice, Tessa sacrifices herself to save those she loves. Dastien hears her urgent plea for him to save her brother and then their bond goes dark. Absolutely silent. She's gone and there's no sign of her kidnappers.

"I didn't know how or when, but I would find her. If not in this life, then I'd find her in death."

Unable to hear her or feel her along their connection, nearly half of the book focuses on the quest to locate her. Considering a lengthy amount of time passes in the story, this makes sense, but it's also a bit dull to read. Mostly pages filled with self-loathing and self-pity on her mate's part, though it's understandable, along with the process of trying to seek out answers.. it just dragged a bit.

With all the chasing around they had to do, I think it could have been really interesting. The book is definitely padded though. Erin loves to repeat herself. In some cases, I know what she was doing. She was trying to show Dastien obsessing over what he could have done differently and what might yet happen. In other cases, it was literally restating parts of phrases in reverse.

"She'd just disappeared as if she never existed.
But she did."

"The night seemed to go on forever, but it didn't."

"She looked like a stranger staring at me, but she wasn't."

It'd be easy enough to excuse once or twice, but it's a frequently occuring problem for me throughout the book. I found myself gritting my teeth with each additional occurence.

That's not to say the book is bad, it really isn't. Her structure is fine and from a conceptual aspect it's quite interesting.

When Dastien is finally reunited with Tessa, there's no recognition of him in her eyes. He can't feel her magic or her wolf beneath the surface either. It's as if everything about her has been removed or locked away.

Once these two meet up again, near the halfway mark in the novel.. that's where the story begins to evolve. Watching him struggle with how to help her, how to keep her safe.. that kept my focus. The magic involved to change Tessa like that was unique. I enjoyed the creativity Erin showed in making that work.

There were some good quotes too. Some funny moments and supporting characters with lots of potential. Van, one of the fey helping them, and Samantha.. a magic user, were both integral in helping me connect to the story.

"Right. So, maybe don't growl at me. Or at least don't bite me, okay? I've got enough problems to worry about without being all furry and s***."

Admittedly, for a USA Bestselling author on the ninth book in a series, it wasn't exactly what I'd hoped for. I'd like to see her expand on her descriptive writing and get outside her character's heads a bit, but it still moved me. Dastien's suffering was hard to watch at times, but I'm glad I was there to bear witness.

-----------

05-14: I'm struggling a bit because it's taking a really long time to get to what seemed to be the plot of the book, I'm still not there.. and the writing is just not as strong as I'd expected. Gonna be rough trying to finish it in time and I've had 3 days. lol.

05-13: Hm, this isn't quite what I was expecting. But we'll see.

05-12: Starting this tomorrow, for the blog tour on Friday. I've been wanting to read it since the cover reveal months ago.. and I'm hoping it will be wonderful!

Aileen Erin outdoes herself with Alpha Erased (Alpha Girl #9). In this story, Tessa is kidnaped while trying to rescue her brother, Axel. Dastien struggles to find Tessa after their mating bond disappears. This story is suitable for young adults.

Alpha Erased was a remarkable story. It was skillfully written and executed. It was exciting throughout. My heart when out to Dastien and his struggles. What Tessa went through was criminal. The characters have grown tremendously since the first book in the series. I appreciated how the inner circle of characters supported each other. They have undergone a lot throughout the years and have become amazing friends with a lot of responsibility. Aileen Erin did a fantastic job depicting Dastien’s and Tessa’s emotions and thoughts.

I suggest reading this story in order of the series. I recommend this series to people who enjoy paranormal fantasies. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

I lost sleep reading this book and it was totally worth the sacrifice because I freaking loved Alpha Erased! It's tied for first place as my favorite in the Alpha Girl series. The author chose to do a duel POV switching between the hero and heroine and it made the story even richer. I cried tears of sadness and happiness. If you haven't read this series do it now! You won't be disappointed!!!

This was top tier angst and I was here for it. I looove a good amnesia trope (anything that increases yearning and sorrow is my bag) and I completely ate up the heartbroken Dastien pov and the reunion scenes were so so funny. I also loved that Samantha came back in this book. (Also lol can we talk about Meredith and Donovan got the actual boot in the last 4 books lolll) This was just so addicting, proof in the fact that I stayed up until 6:30 am reading this. I got 3 hours of sleep and I can’t even be mad about it because this was worth it.

After reading nine (NINE!) books in the series, I have to admit that it is very very impressive how much you saw the author grow and mature in her writing style. I’ll admit, the first few were Wattpad level (no shame in it, but it’s the truth), and as the books went on her writing and plots improved so so much. I’m honestly really glad I stuck with this series!!

I received an free ARC from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I have loved this series throughout. However, when I first started reading, I was trying to remember what had happened in the series. However, there were enough reminders to get me fully involved. Tessa and Dastien have always been my favorite characters and luckily there was a ton of them in this book. But man did my heart break a few times for Dastien. You felt his pain. I love fey but man other than the ones on the Council ooooh I dislike fey in this series. I cannot wait to see what more this author writes. Samantha's story is highly anticipated!

Seriously, why do people read terrible books like twilight when this series exists?! If you like supernatural page-turning, action-packed, romance-filled series, then read these! They always seem like the YA version of Patricia Brigg’s Mercy Thompson series. So enjoyable...

I loved loved loved this book. It was a nice "ending" to the Alpha Girl's series but the OCD person in me wants a 10th book (I mean who ends on a 9th book?!?!).

I'm glad that I enjoyed it because I was "meh" on the last one with Chris and Colette (that might have been more on me though...most of the story took place in Colette's world and I'm not a huge fan of Fae lands or Hobbit lands or anything similar...plus I wasn't vested in either of those two characters from the series).

Back to Alpha Erased...the author did not ease you into the story...it was like BAM action, action, action. Everything happened at once and sucked you in. The story is predominately told from Dastien's POV as he tried to locate Tessa who was taken. Favorite swoon quote: "I didn't know how or when, but I would find her. If not in this life, then I'd find her in death."

I loved that Dastien wasn't alone (although he felt like it). "It wasn't just me feeling desperate to find her. It was Chris. It was Axel. It was Claudia. It was all of us. Tessa changed our lives in such a massive way that none of use would stop fighting for her."

The book reminded me a bit of the Vow and 50 First Dates where the main character had to woo his mate again under the worst possible scenario. "You have to get her to love you again, then that's what you're going to do."

Van came out in a big way and his speech to Dastien on top of the mountain about having a purpose made me want a Van story (even if it is set in a Fae world...sigh).

When Samantha came into the story I immediately though, "She needs her own book!". Imagine my surprise, at the end of the story, Aileen Erin said that is the next series she is working on. Yay!

I went through several romantic leads for her in my head: Her and Mr. Dawson? (only because I am a sucker for an older man/younger girl romance like Meredith and Donovan's story - Shattered Pack). Her and Eli? (but I am not really vested in him). Her and Van? (um...Yes please!). Her and Axel? I felt the story teased at a possible romance either between her and Eli or her and Van. I can't wait for that series!

The book is worth the read. Not only does it close out the series but it is just a good story.

So I chose to review this YA paranormal because of werewolves, fey, witches and vampires of course. I also took a chance on book 9 of a series and I was able to follow along so it definitely can be read as a standalone. And what a magical and compelling tale it is. It's about losing one's true mate to dark magic and discovering that love truly conquers all.

As werewolves, Dastien's love for his True Mate, Tessa, is forever and if one dies, the other follows. So when Tessa is kidnapped, Dastien is devastated and lost for over a year trying to find some small part of the bond True Mates share to no avail. Even the council of a powerful mixture of werewolves, witches and fey cannot come up with a spell to find her. Until, by accident, Tessa is found with no memory of who Dastien is. So in a race with time Dastien has to save her starving soul by making her fall in love with him again. Will he save her in time?

I really enjoyed getting to know all of the diverse characters in this book. Of course, Dastien was the main attraction in this particular book since Tessa was under a spell for most of the time, but the story was told in both of their voices. Though I haven't read any of the previous books in the series, it is obvious that Dastien loves Tessa deeply, and to see him lose his confidence and hope in finding Tessa is heartbreaking. Apparently, he carries a lot of guilt for changing her into a werewolf when they first met without giving her a choice. He feels this is his punishment and doesn't deserve her. Tessa is a force to be reckoned with considering she is part witch, werewolf, and possibly something else so her will to live is great. The wonderful supporting characters of Chris, Collette, Axel, Michael, and Samantha are a great addition to the family dynamic of the group. Of course, let's not forget the fey queen, Helen, who takes evil to the next level.

Overall, this is an intriguing, heartbreaking, and romantic YA paranormal fantasy that was difficult to put down. I will definitely pick up book 1 someday to learn more about Dastien and Tessa's story.  If you enjoy YA paranormal stories with dark magic and a desperate search against time, give this book a try.

Thank you to Ms. Erin for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.

I've read a book or two in this series before hitting this last one. I would not, by any means, recommend reading this last book as a stand alone. But, on the other hand, I had no trouble diving in with only a little background from just the other books.

To save her brother and the man/werewolf she loves, Tessa gives herself up to whoever it is attacking them. Although not killed, she completely disappears and her bond to her mate is seemingly erased with the rest of her existence. But the pack isn't about to give up, and they do everything in their power to find her. The more they dig, they more intrigue they discover, and when they do find her, her mate is in for a surprise, one that will test their love all over again.

This is a terrific read. Every page either grabs in with plot twists or with grabbing, character depth. While there were a few things which felt a little off, these did not ruin the general read. It's one of those books, which demand to be read in one sitting.

The beginning hooks with Tessa's brave action and horrible disappearance. Not only does this bring tense mystery, but it's hard not to feel for her mate as he does everything in his power to find her, fights to keep his inner wolf at bay, and nearly falls apart. The author makes his pain touch the heart-strings, which makes the moment when he discovers her and the next huge twist happens, that much more potent. The other characters not only gain another appearance, but the reader is given new insight on several of them, which give the entire read a lovely richness.

Of course, there's tension, surprises, and action. The wide array of various beings still stretches further than I would like, but there are so many characters I enjoy, this didn't really hurt the story too much for me either. I was happy to learn that Samantha will be getting her own series because she's a character with tons of potential, and I can't wait to see what surprises her background holds.

This was a wonderful end to the series, and a great way to rekindle the romantic feelies while keeping the entire story fresh, entertaining, and simply fun to read. So, kudos from me.

I received an ARC copy through Netgalley/publisher and enjoyed reading it very much.

Wow, what a freaking roller coaster of emotions this book took me on. Even as I sit here writing my review I feel like I am mildly in shock and waiting for more to happen even though the book is over. Keep in mind that this is the 9th book in the series which has to be read in order otherwise you will understand probably nothing about the book.

My poor poor heart! I wasn't sure I could make it through this book, every page made my heart feel like it was cracking open inch by inch. I was drowning in feelings, the angst and heartbreak so strong I didn't know how the characters (cough cough Dastien)could take anymore. The one thing that kept me turning the pages and not curled in a sad ball of tears was the fact (or rather the hope) that there would be some kind of happy ending. I need Dastien and Tessa to be together, they are one of my all time favorite werewolf romances. I can say with confidence now that the series gets more serious as it goes and tugs my emotions and I am not sure I will survive any more- and yet I know I will be begging for the next book in this wonderful series. Feel free to just rip out my heart now, it might be kinder. And I know that Tessa was the one who got kidnapped and had her life completely altered, but Dastien was the one I really felt for- who is hurt the most: the one who doesn't know what they lost, or the one who remembers and knows exactly what is gone?

“You need to change.”
I looked down at what I was wearing.
“I should?”
“You’re wearing running shorts and a T-shirt. Who do you think you’re seducing in that?” She waved her hand up and down at me as if I were wearing something severely offensive.
I opened my mouth for a second then looked down again and back at her. “I guess no one since I’m changing now.”
“Good talk.”

This was such a great installment, the huge amount of feels and romance that were wrapped in a convenient book package was surprising. With each book release, I decide that is my new favorite, and this was no exception- Alpha Erased is my new favorite. This is so worth the read- all my fangirling aside! I loved getting to see Samantha again and I really want the next book that comes out in this world to be hers!

I am sad, very very sad. After binge reading like crazy I have completed the last published book in this series. There was nail biting, laughing out loud, yelling at characters, it hit all the feels! Now it is extreme sadness. I can't believe that the series has ended, it can't be true!
Here is hoping that there are offshoots for some of the other characters like Chris, Eli and Van. I must say that I can't wait to read Samantha's story! She was such a strong teenage character that I am sure her series will be just as much of a roller coaster ride!
I can easily say that this book with the Target scene made me laugh so hard. I could just see them racing threw the store like a bunch of kids causing chaos and happily making a mess!
This is so hard to sum up. The world building was tremendous. I love how she was able to take us from one scene to the next with simple, yet very compelling, descriptions of where her characters are in each point of the story. The descriptions were in no way boring and painted images in my mind that helped to keep the story moving forward!
As for the characters, she covers every character trait threw out the series. We had the alpha characters who combined strength of person with strength of leadership, while at the same time showing a more vulnerable side.
Then there was the pack that proved following a strong leader and remaining true to yourself is just as important as being the leader.
Add to that a human lady whose life is turned upside down and inside out, but she has the personal strength and such strength in her beliefs that she keeps moving forward. She creates a home, happiness and a place to belong!
I think that my favorite two characters where Eli and Van. They went against what everyone expected of them and proved that not every rule and expectation is set in stone! They did all of this well wreaking havoc, having fun and proving to their friends that life is full of surprises.
Overall if you want to read a great series that covers all of the feels, keeps you turning the pages and causes sadness when you have to leave the world and come back to reality, then this is it.
Thanks so much Aileen Erin for sharing this world with us. I am so excited to see where Samantha's books take me.

What would you do if the other half of your soul was taken away from you?

Brilliantly crafted word-building, bad-ass characters, heart pounding moments and devastatingly high stakes, it was all I wanted but didn't know I needed.

I loved that we got Dastien's point of view at last, it just made me love him even more than I already did, if that's even possible. Through the writing, you could feel the love he has for Tessa and how much he hurt when she was missing. It was so heart breaking to read, I felt all his pain, suffering and the feeling of helplessness. He was so close to breaking down because the True Mate bond they have is like the person you love is the other half of your soul, the wolf side in him kept fighting to get control and wanting to basically destroy the whole world to get her back but the human side kept trying to act reasonable and not completely lose it. Ugh that struggle, it was so devastating to read.

This is a bit slower compered to the other books in the series but this focuses more on Tessa and Dastien's bond and relationship, and how strong it is. This focuses more on how far you would go to save the person you love and how being without them affects you. This focuses more on them falling in love again and those small things that they couldn't have the first time around with all the chaos they endured. And this focuses more on if the love is meant to be, it will be, no matter what gets in the way and how you can fall in love all over again.

Aileen Erin's writing is simply brilliant. The way she describes everything and how you could feel all the emotions is amazing. And her character arcs are brilliantly done as well. I also loved that all the other characters that we get to know throughout the whole series come together in this epic way.

This book hurt me so much, like it broke my heart again and again. But I loved every single thing about this book, and this is simply the perfect epic way to wrap up the series that I love with everything in me.

I read this book has an ARC provided by Netgalley for an honest review.
I originally read the first two books in this series and since this is one of those series that continues with various relationships and character stories for each book onward, I decided to stop my reading of this series. I just genuinely wasn’t interested in the other character’s storylines.
When I heard the ninth installment in this series would be about Tessa and Dastien again with Tessa losing her memory, I knew I had to jump back in.

As someone who stopped reading after the second book, you can pick this one up as well. You’ll know who some of the characters are but the ones you don’t know, you’ll figure out through context clues (or it just doesn’t matter). The supernatural world and the politics around it are recapped a bit by Aileen to help you catch up as well.

Most of this book is told through Dastien’s POV so you get to really get into his head with this one which you’ve never really been able to do before. We get to see Tessa and experience this insane situation from his perspective. So if you’re a Dastien fan, you’ll definitely want to read this one!

There were some moments and situations that felt very dragged out in this book and others that were very interesting ideas but were too quickly executed.

I’ll tell you what though, this book is definitely full of drama!! Which is my favourite element of any novel!

Overall, it was a standard paranormal romance novel. I thought this would be perfect for fans who have been religiously following the series and love these characters. Definitely one for that crowd!

But unfortunately, this one wasn’t for me. I found it a bit frustrating to read but the version of my reader self who lived for standard paranormal a few years back would have definitely loved this.

WOAH - this book was not what I was expecting. It takes you on a very tough journey that goes in all sorts of different directions. Don't worry - we get to a good ending, but it is a HARD ride.

We join Tessa and Dastien. They are *exhausted*, as is to be expected when they've been dealing with non-stop attacks from supernaturals. With no end in sight, it seems that this will be her new life, and it's probably killing her. It's no way to live a life. The change comes in a pretty bad way, but there is a big change that Tessa must trigger. Her visions tell her there is only one chance (kind of like with the Avengers?), so she has to take it. This ends up with her disappearing, and Dastien and her friends determined to find her.

Things... don't go according to plan. That's a massive understatement, but at least nobody dies? There is a lot that has to happen to get to a good conclusion here, and we feel every single second of it. There's ups and downs, lots of magical mysterious stuff, a good return of a lot of characters we've met along the way, and ultimately a huge turning point. I wasn't sure I'd enjoy the second half of this book and was cringing the entire way leading up to it, but I should have trusted the author. We get a solid landing here and it was all worth it in the end.

This is part of my personal reading. I love this series. This is book nine of the series. The last book in the series. It was also one of my top three books in this series. This one had a mystery element to it besides just being about supernatural entities. Dustin and Tessa are two Alpha Werewolves that are true mates. The evil fey queen kidnaps Tessa and with her and a rival coven witch place magic around the twos mate bond so that they can't feel each other or psychically talk two each other. They place magic on her erase her memory and change her appearance also so know one can find her easily. They have been separated for 2 years and it nearly kills both Dastien and Tessa. Dastien and his friends don't give up looking for her. And with a chance encounter she is finally found. When Tessa finally regains her memory the first thing she does even half dead is go confront the fey queen that kidnapped her. The entire scene is amazing and I love love loved everything about it. If you read the whole series it just makes you appreciate that scene so much more. I even had a smile on my face when I read it. I highly recommend this book and the whole series to anyone who loves to read. To #Aileen Erin, thank you for your writing and this series, you are magical yourself just like every one of your books. Please don't ever stop writing.

Thank you Ink Monster and NetGalley for the e-ARC to read and review!

Alpha Erased is an entirely different beast than its predecessors. You will be completely absorbed in all that happens. I couldn’t (wouldn’t!) put this book down until it was over.

I knew this was going to be painfully bad for Dastien. All I wanted to do was give him hug. Alpha Erased takes the idea of “mates” to a whole new level it’s wild! In this book, really come to understand the depths of what it means to be “True Mates.” I believe this to be the book’s strongest aspect.

I care about Dastien a lot and even more so post-read. The majority of the book is really sad and tense and quiet until they find Tessa. And then things speed up towards a stunning conclusion.

I don’t know what to make of Alpha Erased as a whole. It is in no way a bad book; far far from it. When I finished the book I was like “woah, so that happened.” It’s an HFN story, of which tend to leave me in a dazed book hangover.

But I would still recommend this book and series because wolves and fantastic characters and the devious plots and feelings. Also, just look at that gorgeous cover! So blue and beautiful!

I have loved every book in this series and this one is probably one of my favourites in this series. We finally have Dastiens POV! I have loved him since the beginning but it was lovely to finally read from his POV as it felt like a whole new side was shown to us.

Aileen Erin did a superb job with this one. She weaved a gripping tale that drew you in from the beginning right up to the end. There is so much going on you can't put it down.

It was lovely seeing the gang all back together. They have come so far since the first book and grown so much. Their bonds of friendship are so strong.

Its sad to see this series end but I am looking forward to seeing what Aileen Erin brings us next.

I did want to keep going to find out what happened and how it would all come together, but I’m okay with this being the last Tessa and Dastien book for a while or forever. I wouldn’t mind another Claudia book. I could go either way in Van-he’s so cool that I sort of want more and am sort of scared that being in his head fully will make him less cool. But I really want to know more about Samantha, so I’m very glad this book doesn’t end her story, and that, in fact, her story is the next point of focus in this world. Hooray!

I probably would have enjoyed this more if there had been less angst and despair and separation of the main characters and more actual time with them interacting and essentially starting their relationship all over again. That’s when I finally started to really get into the story and its potential, but there was very little of that. I would have liked another day or so of them interacting before what happens next.

I got this ARC from netgalley, saddly I was so excited about the plot that I missed the fact that this is the 9th book in the series ( I know, I`m an idiot lol).

I realised as soon as I start reading it my mistake, but didn`t want to dnf it because of my stupidity. I read a few more chapters, until I decided that I definitly need to read this series from book 1.

It`s a supernatural adventure, where teenagers from different species (werewolfs, vampires, whiches and werewitches) are working hard to protect the world from demons and other treats. So that had me hooked from the beggining.

It sounds like a great story and i definitly recomend it if you`re into supernatural or shadowhunters :D. One piece of advice though, start with book 1 and you`ll deffinitly enjoy this one more haha

Alpha Erased was a brutal journey that kept me crying throughout the entire book. Definitely one of the most heart-wrenching stories I’ve read that I only took a break long enough to take one of my final exams before diving right back in. I just had to know that everything would be ok. I was very tempted to skip to the end to make sure because I was very worried there for a bit- my sore and swollen eyes are proof of just how worried I was. While Alpha Erased did a number on my soul, I’m so happy that everything worked out. It felt like a good place to end the series for now and I’m so excited to find out that Samantha is getting her own series! I was ready to beg Aileen for her story. I can’t wait to get to know her better and to hopefully see some more of Tessa and Dastian in her series.

When Tessa's Brother Axel text her and ask that her and Dastien meet her they don't think anything of it. I mean after all he is her brother and she trusts him very much. When they walk in they are attacked Dastien is wounded and Axel is lying on the floor bleeding out. Tessa knows what she has to do to save them. She tells Dastien to not let her brother die to save him.

Later when Dastien wakes up he learns that Tessa is missing and no one knew where she was. After waking Dastien went berserk destroying anything standing in his way. Upon his awakening Dastien realizes that he can no longer feel his bond with Tessa. He knows she is not dead but he has no idea where she is or how to find her without their bond. Dastien sets out on a journey visiting others who may know how to find her by using magic.

I felt so bad for Dastien I could just feel all his pain of not knowing where his mate was and thinking he may lose her if he doesn't get to her in time. I can just imagine all the thoughts that were playing out in his head of seeing Tessa and knowing that whoever had her would probably kill her once they were through with her or they accomplished their task involving her. It just broke my heart to see how it all affected Dastien.

I just love the Alpha Girl series and can't seem to get enough of it. I am so sad to see that the Alpha Girls series is being put on hold for the time being but hopefully the characters in this series will make appearance in other books. I truly loved each and every book in the Alpha Girl series and I don't think I could pick a favorite even if asked. But I will have to say that the writing just gets better and better with each book.

I love the world that was created for the Alpha Girl oh and the characters are just as awesome, each in their own way. Each character has so much to add to the story. I love that each story belongs to different characters. I love that this world has vampires, werewolves, witches, fae plus so much more. I love getting points of views from different characters I love getting inside each characters head to see their side of things. Getting inside their heads just lets you get to know that character more as to who they are and how they feel about so many different things.

If you like paranormal books that have more than one paranormal creature and a world where vampires, werewolves, witches, fae all live together, not peacefully exactly but in the same world then you are going to love the Alpha Girl series.

Alpha Erased is the ninth book in the series but don't worry they don't necessarily have to been read in order as I didn't read them in order and still loved them very much and didn't feel as if I had missed too much if anything.

While this series is somewhat outside my normal reading fare, I’ve really enjoyed the journey. Erin writes likable characters and engaging scenarios, and I completely blew through this book as fast as I could. I’m not sure how well this one would have read without the background of the rest of the series – there are a lot of characters to track and various types of creatures (like fey and werewolves and all that other great paranormal stuff) interact in specific ways in Erin’s world, so I do recommend starting at the beginning and going from there. (You can read my reviews of the rest of the series here.)

In this story, Tessa is kidnapped, so we spend a lot of the story reading Dastien’s perspective. I was super stoked to get inside his head for a little bit, because I’m pretty fond of Dastien. I could have used a smidge less time of him flipping out about Tessa’s disappearance (he’s easily triggered, geez) as that got a bit repetitive, but overall this book just made me like Dastien more than ever.

This book’s strength is also its weakness in a way – it’s heavy on action. That’s great for keeping the pages turning and keeping me wondering what was going on next, but now awesome for building relationships. I get that Dastien and Tessa are forever bound to each other etc. but it would have been lovely to see a little more time of Dastien wooing Tessa back after she was kidnapped.

But if you enjoy paranormal adventures, I definitely recommend this series. It’s great fun and I can’t wait to see which direction Erin heads next!

NB: This book was provided to me as an ARC, which does not impact my review.

When I received my book, I put everything on hold and simply focused on reading it. I love this series, and this last edition is equally amazing.
It is very nice to see their world through Dastien's eyes and it is very nice that some of the basic feelings from book 1 to some extent come back in this book. The author has succeeded in making the personages very likeable and everytime I read this series I transport myself into their world. The theme of the book is also very different that anything we have seen so far. Very nice!
I enjoyed this book so much, that after I read this last edition I went back to book 1 and read everything all over again, from book 1 to book 9.

I receive this ARC for an honest review. This is my favorite book in the Alpha Girl series. It is completely different from the other books I’m trying to think of how to write my review without giving anything away. Aileen caught my attention from the start and didn’t let go. I love her writing. This book is about Tessa, Dastien & their friends, but I don’t want to write more than that. because I will give too much away. I can tell you that in this book you will get to know Dastien and better understand him. This is NOT a stand alone book. You will need to read the other books in the series. You will not be disappointed, I did really enjoy this book and highly recommend it.
