Conviction is a second chance romance of two teenage lovers who due to a misunderstanding are separated for 15 years and reunited after bitter regrets and longing.
Conner Reed and Nina Matthews meet at their little primary school in the leafy suburbs of Surrey, England. They grow up with Conner teasing Nina and it's not until she is 15 that he realises that she is the girl for him.
After a year long relationship, events occur that force them apart and whilst Conner's life seems to be on the up, with his rock band sky-rocketing into fame, Nina is stuck in an unhappy marriage that she is desperate to make a go of.
Conner never stops dreaming about his lost love, he does everything he can not to feel intimacy and craves control in the bedroom. He often has dirty sex with his band mate Jet and groupies where he instructs them what to do whilst watching and getting his dick sucked.
Nina on the other hands is longing for intimacy in her marriage, she has a thriving hairdressing business, great friends, a nice house and all the things that come with it but nothing will ever compare to the first love that devastated her 15 years prior.

I had a soft spot for Conner, he was a tortured bad boy who had a big heart. He loved his family, his band mates and he loved unconditionally his little blonde hair, blue eyed Nina. He was in a lot of emotional pain and blocked it out with both dirty sex and his music.
Nina made a lot of sacrifices in her life in order for the people she loved to be safe and protected and I warmed to her when she finally had the courage to stand up for herself and be heard. (And put the wine glass down, boy did she drink!)
The first half of this book was fuck hot! Unfortunately the the two main characters didn't appear together until around 50%. This was a big issue for me, especially when the sex between the couple didn't live up to the filthy orgies that occurred at the beginning. When Conner & Nina reunited I expected a bit more push and pull, they trusted each other so easily and I understand that they were soulmates but after 50% of anticipation I wanted more than them just getting back together and setting up home. The second half of the book really tailed off for me.
For fans of the second chance romance trope, it well worth taking a chance on. It's emotional and sexy and fun, but unfortunately it didn't have the wow factor I was looking for.
This is a standalone, told in dual POVs.

This wasn’t angsty.
It was fluffy bunny.
The group sex was gross.
And interrupted.
Major pet-peeve...”the big misunderstanding” is the entire plot here. That’s it. Some douchebaggery from the h’s brother and a convo neither H/h was adult enough to force on the other before they “gave up” on each other and moved on setting up a second chance 15 years later :/
Then instalove so hot it gave me heartburn.
Not safe. OW/orgy scenes before reuniting. Weirdly, H usually settles for BJs during threesomes with his BFF and during orgies. The h is married to a man who rapes her one night when drunk. A week later she’s left him and run into rocker boy ;) And I tapped out at 77%...DNF

I started reading Lesley Jone's "Conviction" in a hospital waiting room... biggest mistake E.V.E.R because within the first 10% or so of Reed and Nina's story, I was horny as hell, shifting uncomfortably in my seat, crossing my legs, then uncrossing them, clenching my thighs, ready to pounce and rip the pants off the first unsuspecting hot male that came into view... thank the lord I chose to shut my kindle down and wait until I got home to resume my reading. No word of a lie, it was pure, unadulterated, filthy, dirty sex ... the kind that should only be read in the privacy of your own abode. But don't worry if you're thinking... "is that all this book has to offer?" because as well as the mighty fine bumping ugly scenes, there was an epic second chance love story that captivated me right from the beginning and I couldn't wait to put all the pieces together and see where it had all gone wrong and see whether there was any way of bringing these star crossed lovers back together so they could get their HEA.
Conner Reed's character was one hell of a tortured soul and despite his rock star bravado, I saw so much more to him. I saw the person he hid from the world. The scared, vulnerable, lonely man who had been hurt so badly, he would never allow himself to go there again. He was Conner Reed, the rock god and he had made something of his life and no one but no one would ever control him again. Time and time again I witnessed him use phrases like these... like he was trying to convince himself that his life was great, wonderful, amazing. That he wanted for nothing. But that was a lie because the one thing he wanted had walked away and now years later, she was still never far from his thoughts.
Nina's character broke my heart. One night was all it took... one night to change the course of her life and take her down a road she would never have imagined travelling. As her story unravelled, I could feel myself getting worked up, getting agitated, angry and frustrated but ultimately, feeling consumed by an overwhelming sense of sadness at how everything had turned out for her. This wasn't fate, this wasn't destiny... it wasn't the stars playing their part. My gut was telling me it was so much bigger than this and I couldn't wait to get to the bottom of it.
"Conviction" was a book that was full to the brim with such a mix of characters... some I'd have happily jumped into bed with (in my head of course... lol), some I wanted to be best buddies with. Others I wanted to wrap up in cotton wool and then there were those that I'd have happily gone for a beer with. However, there was also a group of characters I hated down to my very core. Every mention of them, each time they were there in a scene, I felt my skin crawl and I shuddered. They were the worst of the worst, testing my very last nerve.
Nina and Reed's story was one that had so many dimensions to it. Yes of course it was a love story but there was a large proportion of this book which showed us the time they were apart. The road their separate lives had taken them, the curveballs they encountered. Every twist and turn, every obstacle, every bump in the road that had shaped the people they had become. Be prepared to have your soul crushed because as much as there were moments that had me howling with laughter, there were were equal measures of moments that left me devastated.
Lesley Jones has written a fantastic book in "Conviction" and if I was to sum it up on one sentence, I would say:
This was a perfect balance of epic love story and literary porn (don't knock it, trust me... no one writes a sex scene like this woman and it fit seamlessly into the storyline !!!).

I'm just going to write a short review to explain my low rating.
I couldn't get into this story from the beginning. The two MC's didn't even see each other again until after 50% of the book so the first half felt completely irreverent to me. After that, I just started to skim because I couldn't feel the connection between Connor and Nina. How they were broken up by someone didn't seem real and at the end it didn't come together well, at least for me. There were a lot of things in the book that I didn't feel were needed and I don't know how they added to the story. I also just couldn't like Nina after a situation with her husband happened and how she handled it didn't sit well with me. Overall I think this story had a lot of potential but it just didn't work out for me.

Lesley Jones has rocked the reader world again with a riveting and raw read that's her best and most beautiful book yet! Conviction is another rock star masterpiece where you can't help but fall in love with its characters and let them into your heart. Like the rest of the Lesley's books, but perhaps even more so, Conviction makes you feel. A second chance love story, Conviction tears your heart wide open and shakes every emotion out of you. You can't help but root for love, hope, and that much-coveted second chance.
Conner Reed with his tousled dirty-blonde hair, greenish-blue eyes, tall and muscular body with that perfect 'V', and lead singer of Shift, is a woman's walking wet dream. Though the only woman in his dreams is his first love, Nina 'Meebs' Matthews . Beautiful Meebs with her pale blue eyes, light blonde hair, hour glass shape, and sweet demeanor is Conner's angel that won't leave his head or heart. She is equally love struck and no man will compare to her Conner.
"If I had any doubts before, the moment that I finally slid my body inside of hers, our fingers laced together and our eyes locked, they were gone and I was done, hers. At that moment, when that first tear slid from her eye and rolled back toward the pillow and she whispered, 'I love you Conner, I love you so much.' I knew there and then that I loved her like no other and would love her forever. But now, all these years later, I try constantly not to think about her that night."
Meebs can't forget the rock star who broke her heart a long time ago. Reed is the rock star; Conner is the boy who stole her heart and never gave it back. No matter how much pain she has endured since she separated from her true love that night 15 years ago, Meebs will never stop loving Conner. He has taken her heart and mind hostage and holds the keys to her soul.
"I've seen his face on the cover of the magazines that we had in the salon and I'd feel so much pride in the fact that he'd turned his life around and done so well, but I was also a little bitter...I buried the hurt, the sense of loss and betrayal deep down inside of me and carved out a new life for myself. They say you never forget your first and I'm sure that's probably true, but when your first becomes a singer and guitarist in one of the world's biggest bands, whose voice and face are constantly heard and seen on TV and radio, it's pretty much impossible."
That night was supposed to be life-changing. It was supposed to be Conner and Meebs' start of their happily ever after. But something went horribly wrong that tore these soul-mates apart.
"It's been fifteen years...fifteen f*cking years, and I seriously need to get a grip. I hate that she can still do this. I'm Connor Reed. I'm living the dream and yet a single thought, a distant memory of a little blue-eyed blonde-haired girl from Surrey can bring me to my knees."
Both Conner and Meebs have tried to forget about each other, but first love burns a hole through your soul and you never forget. These former lovers and friends have experienced tragedies and struggle as they are pulled into darkness and despair. Fate intervenes and weaves this man and woman's lives together again. But the past has a way crashing the happiness party and just can't stop playing with Conner and Meebs, who both deserve a second chance at happiness and love.
Five stars are simply not enough for this emotional roller coaster ride. Conviction will warm your heart and soul. You will feel this book until the very end. Once again, Lesley Jones, you wrote a book that grabbed my heart and soul. Conviction truly touched me and it's a story that I'll remember forever.

Wow Lesley took me on an emotional roller coaster again.
Sometimes you find a go to author were you just know if you read it you won't be disappointed and Lesley Jones is definitely that author.
Heart bumping in your chest moments, laughter,tears that goes with the emotional rollercoaster Lesley takes you on, and as an avid reader I want the complete package in a read and I got it.
Two people torn apart by lies, its heartbreaking what could of been.
A brilliant rockstar read and the sex,drugs rock n roll that comes with it.
There's angst,drama,bittersweet moments, words that will warm and break your heart, brilliant characters, cockney charm and a second chance romance that makes you melt.
A must read that I couldn't put down.

Well I was very very lucky to receive an arc for this and WOW!
I could not put it down, Lesley Jones is just the best, Ive read Lesleys other books and she blew me away with those, Yes I was blown away again with conviction. Its my favourite book of 2015 so far. Conner Reed is another hot hot hot male that you just wouldnt be able to resist. I dont want to give anything away but when this is released I highly recommend you buy it!!! I laughed and even got a tad emotional at times but it just wouldnt be Lesley Jones if she didnt pull at those heart strings one way or another. Its certainly a 5 star read I would give it more if I could!!

Fantastic, awesome, but would you expect anything less?
Conviction by Lesley Jones is another fantastic book by one of my favourite authors. I had a little tease of this book when Lesley released a few chapters titled “Reed” in the Owned Anthology and I was hooked. I couldn't wait until this book was finalised, so I could get my reading eyes on it and devour it. Well, devour it I did, and there are no disappointments here let me tell you.
Conviction is a standalone book and the star of this story is Reed/Connor, a rock star wild child. He’s controlling, hot and very alpha … oh, and did I mention HOT? Reed is a troubled young man and this story starts out very wild, he really wants control but seems to have none over his own life, certainly not the type of life he really wants to lead. His life as a rock and roll star has lead him down a path of debauchery, drugs and sex. Connor is living the life, and he’s totally unhappy with his past and his present and we totally understand why as you read the story.
This book is full of angst, laughter, tears and emotion. I love the way the story weaves out over time until you are left with a love story that spans well over fifteen years. Meebs/Nina is the heroine of this story and she’s a gorgeous woman, who has spent time married to a man she doesn't love because she had no choice.
Queue chance meetings and what follows from this point will blow you away as it did me. There is one wow
moment, and it’s a huge plot twist that will have you wanting more. I absolutely loved the story of Reed and Nina and I am positive you will too. The book switches POV, which gives a real insight into the two lead characters.
There is plenty of turmoil and twists in this book to keep you flicking those Kindle pages. I know this book will be a runaway hit, just like all of Lesley Jones’ other books. So do yourself a favour and one-click this one as soon as it’s released. This book gets five golden stars.

So far Lesley has given me Gabe, Macca & Cam (to name a few) in the form of the Saviour series and the Carnage series.......Both amazing sets and all damn mighty men!!!! So Conviction had a LOT to live up to!

A story of soul mates and second chances- forced into taking separate paths that eventually lead back to each other. Unity and love can never be overcomed without the CONVICTION to fight.
Lesley Jones starts us off with teenagers, Conner Reed and Nina Matthews, professing their undying love for each other but whose lives takes differing paths than what they planned. Matters of circumstance and betrayal, leaves these young lovers to lead unfulfilling and destructive lives. Each attempting to fill the empty void within their lives. Each craving and yearning for a life of contentment.
Nina and Conner are in different places in their lives. Conner's a world famous Rock Star. Not the poor, wrong side of society and train tracks eighteen year old boy he once was. A single action caused ripple effects that changed Conner's life forever. Leading him into a downward spiraling pit of despair and loneliness. Fifteen years later and Reed is now the lead guitarist for Shift. Now renowned and pushing all the limits, Reed embraces his sexual predilections. He uses the eroticism of voyeuristic sex to stifle his tortured soul. To mask his hate for intimacy. His only form of escapism.

Because she just ambled along and after anything her "so called" loved ones said and did. She infuriated me with her weakness and her inability to THINK for herself.
It was bittersweet that Nina was fighting tooth and nail for intimacy and yet, Conner, was shunning it fiercely.
Reminiscing about young love that once was, Nina longs for the tender caress of that love, of that eighteen year old boy that professed his love for her. Once upon a time that young boy loved her like no other. Fifteen years later and all traces of that boy is gone. In place is a morsel of utter perfection. The man known as, Reed.
As hard and emotionally disconnected as Reed is, his only weakness, is Nina. "...a blue eyed, blonde haired girl from Surrey can bring me to my knees...."
Seeing her again after fifteen long, torturous years, brings to the surface all the pain and heartbreak, along with tons of unanswered questions. This was an issue for me. All the kinky, sexual, voyeuristic tendancies went caputs!! when Meebs and Conner became intimate again. Their sexually intimate scenes was downright disappointing. I expected more physical passion and some kinkiness. BUT!! NADDA.
I had a hard time not feeling an intense sense of deja vue with LJ's Carnage series.(Carnage is downright the best book ever written). This aspect threw me off many times while reading. I kept shaking my head, lots.
Nina is such a weak heroine to me. She was such a push over. It pissed me off, greatly!
Loves
Conner was and is my most favourite person and character. I loved his rags to riches tale, along with the tortured soul and his sexual exploits. Gosh, his exhibitionistic tendencies gave me major female boners!!!

So Lesley Jones is the Queen of Emotional reads as far as I am concerned, she crippled my heart in Boxed Set Complete Carnage Series: Carnage #1&2 - but redeemed herself in book 2, in Saviour I loved her realism of the older woman getting the second chance at love, I need to finish book 2 of the series.
The beginning of this book had me lulled into a enjoyable experience of "Young Love" and as a person who was blessed to find her soul mate as a young girl, I love these books that have me remembering our rocky start to show those nay sayers that we would last the course, but again Lesley Jones had me hyperventilating as Young Conner and Nina are pulled apart by fate, I thought NOOOOO She's going to do it again, trying to hold my emotions in check in a public waiting room and at chapter 6 I was left hanging as my battery died and left me unable to continue until I got home! Well actually until I nicked my hubbies phone and swapped our batteries around! I sat reading in the cinema until the film started! then I continued to read on the journey home from the cinema... Hubby is used to this now lol.
fast forward 15 years and we have Conner fucking Reed (OMG!)
I am not going to say much in this review, to appreciate this book you need to read it... to go along with the journey as Reed lives his rockstar life, and BOY IS IT HAWT...No one gets a piece of Reed, He is his own island and you can visit the island temporarily - one night, the chance to let go, break the rules and enjoy the best, the dirtiest, filthiest sex ever...
Then there is Nina 'Meebs' or Amoeba who is trapped in a loveless marriage to a prick of a husband and boss of her hideous Brother (ooh can you tell I HATED Meeb's family, If I had a voodoo doll of her mother boy would I go to town!!!)
SERIOUSLY LESLEY JONES has a Genius talent at creating a story that you just can't put down (yep late nights ensued after the cinema trip) and then a PJ day on the sofa to finish it in the morning.
Lesley is now an author that I will just Auto One-Click, I am that sure I will enjoy the books.
So if you like:
you won't be disappointed with this book, my advice to you is - Buy the book, enjoy the ride in the knowledge that your heart will be intact when you finish it.

Well what can I say about such a fantastic book - Lesley Jones has done it again!!!!
Conviction is a standalone story, about Conner Reed, sexy as hell rock god and Nina, his lost love. I will say no more about the story itself. It is a story which will grab you from the first lines, suck you in and keep you enthralled. I could not put it down. I loved the characters in the book and how their story unfolded as I read.
I love the angst, the laughs and the tears but all of it is worth it for the amazing story that creates all these emotions in you while you read it.
This is a book which must be read!! Congratulations Lesley Jones on another 5* spectacular story!!!

Lesley Jones is one of my favorite authors. I love her! If you haven't read Carnage 1 & 2 The Story of Us and The Story of Me than you need to RIGHT NOW! Both books continue to make me feel something serious even almost a year after I've read them.
I am not going to give a detailed synopsis of this story. The book's description sets the stage well enough and there are lots of twists and turns that I wouldn't want to give away (outside of my tagged spoilers). There are several things I loved about this book. Rockstar, check; Second chance at love, check; A heroine that is curvy, check; Drama and angst, check; Lots to love. Carnage crossovers (Marley, Ashley, Lennon and Jimmie), added bonus.

What a great damaged hero. He is a rockstar with a proclivity for some very kinky shit. Although misunderstood, he has a heart of gold and would do anything for his one true love, Nina, or Meebs. They were separated for 15 years and fate finds a way to bring them back into each other's lives.
This is what kept this book from being a 5 star read: (Please don't read this spoiler unless you have already read the book. It will ruin some elements of surprise.)
I just feel like the ending was rushed. My mind still held a million questions and was trying to connect the dots, so to cram everything into the last bit of the end made the story lose some of it's impact. I felt that something big was building, but felt a bit let down by the big reveal. I wanted the shocking moments to be more drawn out rather than quickly revealed and resolved. I wanted more details filled in rather than having to come to my own conclusions about why things happened. I loved the epilogue, but I'm a details person, so I always want all of the loose ends to be tied up or at least to make sense to me.
Overall, this was an entertaining and fast-paced read full of emotion, betrayal, deception, and some incredibly steamy scenes. I love the drama and angst that Lesley Jones brings to all of her stories. She didn't skimp on the drama in this one either, . I ate this story up and was happy to spend my weekend with Conner Reed.

Conner fucking Reed!! Holy shit! Holy fucking shit!! This woman has done it again!! This read was amazing! It was beautiful. It ripped me apart, it pulled at every emotion. Lesley Jones is a fucking genius!! She has a way of putting words together that is just breathtaking and beautiful.
Nina, god, I loved this character. She had my heart from the beginning. Strong, loving, loyal. I understand the choices she made and they were all made with the best of intentions. She put herself last. She loved that hard. She had me chuckling to myself through out the book. Her banter with Soph was so adorable, and real. I want Soph to be my best friend too!!
Now on to my boy, Conner fucking Reed. God damn this boy is smoking hot! My broken, fucked up rock god. Lesley Jones has this way of creating leading men that steal your heart and soul and Conner Reed is no exception!!
This book seriously blew me away - such a hot, intense ride. I couldn't put it down!!
I cried, I laughed, I swooned. This read was pure perfection, honestly though, I didn't expect anything less!!

I had no doubt when I heard that Lesley Jones was writing another book, that it would be incredible. I've read all 4 of her previously published works and they rank up there with some of my absolute favorite. Conviction just adds to my list. Well written, detailed, humorous, sexy, full of angst and definitely a book that you will want to get your hands on. There were literally times I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes, and others that I wanted to throw my kindle across the room because I was so full of emotion. This book is written from multiple POV's, which gives you an even more in depth connection to both the leading male and female characters, but never breaks the flow of the story.
Lesley, you have done it again. Thank you for taking me on another incredible journey!!!!!!

In conviction you get the best of both worlds, you get part Conners POV and part Amoeba's POV.

I received an ARC for this book to give an honest review.
Having read Saviour and Carnage series by Lesley Jones I did expect this book to be good but it exceeded all my expectations.
Lesley sure know how to give us HOT guys. Gabe, Macca, Cam & now Conner Reed and she can sure tell a story like no other.
As the book is not released yet I will not go into the plot but it will make you laugh, cry and send you on a rollercoaster ride of emotion.
If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would. It is exceptional.

First half was rough. I didn't like Connor, he disgusted me. Nina and Connor don't reconnect until 50% in. By then I was hoping she would hook up with her lawyer. This book would have benefited from flashbacks so I could get invested in the H/h. By the time they reconnected I didn't believe in them. The reunion was really cheesy. Sadly this was a big miss for me.

Conviction by Lesley Jones is absolutely fantastic!!! I could not put this book down. I was hooked from the very first page. This is the story of Conner Reed and Nina 'Meebs' Matthews. Conner and Nina have known each other since they were young and became very close. Unforeseen forces tears them apart and they are reunited 15 years later. Issues are revealed and circumstances brought them back together. However, will their past keep them apart or will they find the love they once had and get a chance at love yet again? That's where you will have to read to find out, I don't share spoilers. Conviction is an emotional read with hard and gut wrenching situations...you think you know what's about to happen, and then you find out you were wrong.
Lesley Jones has done it yet again with Conviction. I highly recommend this book to anyone.

Such a good read!
I was really nervous reading another Lesley Jones book after Carnage as the author is quite depressing and doesn’t always give a HEA! However thankfully in this book, even though not always the cheeriest of topics, it was really enticing and kept me intrigued the whole way through! I loved the leading male and female characters.
It was extra fun to read with two other readers and talk about our OMG moments!”, I’d never done that before, but plan on doing it more in the future!

I did not enjoy Carnage but I thought I'd take a look at my friends copy (kindle) of Conviction. I wish I had not read this one. This author and me don't gel. I find her writing to be extremely amateurish, the dialogue is cheesy. She adds far too much pointless details and drama in her stories. This story is kind of similar to Carnage.
This was like two stories in one book. The beginning included some erotic scenes and lots of dirty talk. I waited and waited for the two main characters Connor and Nina to meet and start this second chance love/romance. Then when they met, the reason why they parted was a little ridiculous. The sex scenes between them were boring and I thought, ok this is the love of his life but where's the horny sexy rock star gone. The sex should have been passionate, explosive and mindblowing because of his feelings for her.
The extra drama with and I cringed when Connor and Nina were talking about their feelings for each other, it was so corny.

Wow Conner Reed is every woman dream definitely rock God, abs, looks, alpha, all in one perfect package. He have emotion issues but when you fall in love young and lose the love of your life. That goes without saying. Nina this girl as been put through the ringer more than once. She's string tho I give her that. Her too losing the love of her life as ruined her. And after what she has been through you can't help but just want safe option where you can't get hurt again. Her heart belongs to Conner. They have loved each other since where 15. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC from Lesley (THANK YOU, again!)
Lesley has been one of my all-time favorite authors since falling in love with Carnage. Let me be honest and just say that this book did not disappoint! Conviction is now, hands down my new favorite read from her.
Conviction is a standalone about the HOT, sexy as sin rock God, Conner Reed and his long lost love, Nina. This story has both POV's so we get to hear both sides of what happened that night that changed both of their lives. I laughed, I cried, I cursed Mrs. Jones and I could not put this book down. Congrats on another 5 Star book!

I was given an ARC copy given by Lesley and again Lesley Jones has rocked it again. Definitely one of my favorites of 2015. This book had it all, true deep love, filthy sex, anticipation and above all loyalty. She is one if my favorite authors and cannot wait for her next book.

5 "Because I'm Connor fucking Reed and I can" Stars!
She has done it again! Another bad boy rocker with such a sweet side and forever love that just turns me on! To say I was pissed how this started is an understatement! These two were planning to be together no matter what it took. They were torn apart before they got that far. Feeling the other had changed their mind, each devastated. Both experienced heart breaking events that night that years later they would learn about.
I'm always bothered by couples who are separated and are participating in sexual acts with others! I literally hurt while reading it! Silly, I know, and logically it's bound to happen after being apart for years. I did like Connor's preferences in the way he participated though. He may have thought he wasn't normal but hey, if it's going to happen, I'd prefer it his way!
Mindless, dirty, filthy sex. It's the only kind of sex, the only kind of intimacy I can handle. ~~Connor
I didn't care for Nina Matthews aka - Amoeba at the beginning. I found her to be weak. Especially for having not even a tiny bit of back bone those years apart. She lives in a loveless marriage and Connor lives life surrounded by the typical atmosphere of a rock-n-roller.
Fifteen years later, after being torn apart and living miserable lives, they both attend the Triple M. Charity set up in memory of Sean from Carnage. Connor is to perform along side Marley Layton, Georgia's brother with songs from the bands Carnage/Shift-(being Connor's band)Nina is hanging out in the VIP section admiring others when she spots some very beautiful people assuming they must all be family because of the resemblance. Mind you this is for Sean. She eyes a very sexy man... a DILF, followed by two kids, then a female with a young girl approach him. She watches the PDA and is envious.
I just want to feel loved, cherished and wanted. I want someone to look at me like nothing else in the world exists. I want someone to want me, to need me like I need air. I just want to be loved. ~~NINA
I can't leave this out...sorry. That was Nina's thought after seeing the DILF (LAUGHING), none other than CAM having a moment with Georgia! Attending the Triple M for Carnage. What, 40's well hell!

Now that they have come back together Connor and Nina straighten out what happened that night. Having becoming a much stronger character just before meeting back up with Connor, I liked her. Weakness turned into toughness and she became what I was hoping and her and Connor became a team. I loved him so much, I enjoyed him thoroughly!

I am a relatively new Lesley Jones fan. I completely devoured the Carnage series a few weeks back so from the moment I heard about Conviction, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. This beautiful story broke my heart, then healed it, and made me truly believe in second chances.
Connor Reed has achieved legendary status as lead guitarist for the band Shift. He has spent the last fifteen years traveling the world and even though he is rarely alone, he is a very lonely and isolated person. Connor carries guilt and heartbreak that is slowly pulling him into the darkness.
"Women want me, men want to be me and yet, one song, just one fucking song, can bring me to my knees."
Nina Matthews is a successful business woman stuck in a loveless marriage. Actually with the exception of her truly AMAZING BFF, Nina is surrounded by selfish, cold-hearted people. She has spent her life sacrificing her happiness for that of her family's, I for one was screaming at her to kick them all to the curb!
I thought I might grow to love Marcus and we would be okay. I tried, I really did try. I'm still trying, but nights like tonight just leave me numb and lonely. They leave me sad and regretful of my choices. The leave me feeling nothing but anger toward my brother and the way that he manipulated me, but most of all they leave me feeling empty.
The writing drew me right into the story and made me feel like I was right there struggling with Connor and Nina as they were moving throughout the daily grind of life. I had several moments where my heart was in my throat, hoping that this couple would find their way back to one another.
Conviction is a standalone read and the British slang is really quite enchanting. If you are looking for a read that will make you laugh out loud, cry devastating tears and feel the need for a cold shower… CONVICTION is your next read!!!
