Becky Tibbs is a sweet girl, maybe a little too sweet, but it’s difficult to fault her for an innocent nature. Some might consider her naïve. And she is. She’s had little knowledge of a larger world others might live outside North Carolina. On the other hand, she’s had a lot of experience dealing with ghost problems. Becky didn’t ask for the job of a medium, but after her parents died, the unusual ability became a bequest – a gift handed down from her mother’s side of the family. An optimistic and positive young woman, Becky determines to make the best of a difficult situation in a small town where the smallest detail is noticed and everyone knows everything about everyone else. Living in Asheville, North Carolina, Becky deals with a lot of departed spirits in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Such a job can get rather hectic at times. Misunderstood ghosts can create a lot of sticky problems for the living and a community such as hers. Becky has the gift the same as her brother and sister. The only difference is that her siblings don’t want anything to do with their paranormal abilities and they’ll do anything in their power to drown out those disembodied souls who plead for help. Used to dealing with ghosts on a daily basis, Becky solves many mysteries in this light, clean, airy, and informative series.

Walker, M.Msc., Reiki Master/Teacher, writes both fiction and nonfiction books with a metaphysical and spiritual component. Her fiction expresses a visionary/metaphysical message that illustrates growth in a character's consciousness while utilizing a paranormal aspect. Her nonfiction books share insight, hope, and inspiration. Those who search for meaning and the supernatural in themselves will enjoy her books. Even though Chariss also writes dark-fiction about insanely dark topics, such as sexual abuse, incest, pedophilia, sexual assault, and other inappropriate dinner conversation, there is always an essential question of the abstract nature that gives a reader increasing awareness and perception. I really enjoyed this book. If like me you have been here since the beginning then you would have been wondering what was going on with Marty, well the wait is over. Through out the series you learnt a little bit about him as the Tibbs siblings went about there business and he spiralled out of control, in this book it comes to a dramatic conclusion. I must admit I did have to check to see if this was the last in the series because it could have ended there nicely but we are okay there is more to come for Becky and the others. You don't need to have read the other books because the author does give you background information but I think I it has more impact if you have. I think this book is my favourite in the series as the siblings were more focused on helping the ghosts and human than in there own personal ups and downs and there was a few interesting cases. The characters are still great and growing into there own. I can't wait for the next book. Becky is helping her sister to learn more about her gift by helping a ghost move on but Barbara has to go it alone when Becky gets a phone call from her boyfriend begging for her help. Barbara former boyfriend, Marty, has gone off the deep end and with Marty being a cop fears for his new girlfriend is rising. Is she dead? And if so can Becky find out what happened? As Becky's came for helping with ghost problems so does the number of people needing her help, it's a good job all three Tibbs siblings are learning to accept what they have and need to do but will there dead mother? I like the narrator and with her calm smooth voice the hours quickly flew by. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Another good read but although it is the final one it really doesn't answer the question of 'did Patty's killer get free'. The day after St Valentine's should have been peaceful but a call from Patrick has her going to the apartment where Patty lived. A shambles greeted her but where was Patty? Did her lover kill her? Another couple of cases crop up and she has her sister along with her to deal with one. Will her sister and her new partner cope? Now with Patty missing for a few days she tries to remember where she could have gone. Finding her ghost is the first step, the her body but how to prove who killed her. Another attack on a Patty lookalike firmly points the finger at one person, but will he get off? Or will Patty deal with him? What will it cost her?
Well it is finally here--I felt like I waited an eternity for this last in the series to publish! I can only hope that this isn't the last--I truly enjoy this series.
Becky has to learn how to combine her personal and business life now that she has a boyfriend! Her brother and sister have decided to accept their special ability. Barbara actually manages to help someone with a ghost problem--with her boyfriend who actually accepts her for who she is and what she is capable of.
Barbara's ex-boyfriend finally goes off the deep end and it is up to Becky to attempt to help a person who was not exactly a friend to go to the other side.
The Easter Epiphany is something we all should learn!!
A Medium's Easter Epiphany: A Cozy Ghost Mystery (Becky Tibbs: A North Carolina Medium's Mystery Series Book 5) by Chariss K. Walker
Becky now has a boyfriend which is working out well for her. She is helping her Brother and Sister accept their abilities and (help with) their personal lives. Then there is the Little problem with her Mother, which along with her siblings (they) try to find a solution. Their Father who is fitting in well, knows what is appropriate and what is not. Then there are the Ghosts. Becky helps one with a very horrible problem, it hits close to home. Once the problem is solved she must help the Ghost get to the other side.
A fast paced original story with a lovable Medium and her very likable family. Becky is gifted and she handles her gift well. Her siblings, not so much. But with Becky's help they can learn to accept who they are and live life to the fullest. Overall I enjoyed A Medium's Easter Epiphany: A Cozy Ghost Mystery and feel those who love a great ghost story will enjoy it as well. I highly recommend all in this series by Chariss K. Walker.
Wow! Another great book in this series. I really enjoy this series of books. Becky and her family help ghosts get closure. Looking forward to the next book in this series.
This was the fifth and final installment in this series about medium Becky Tibbs and her siblings in their journey of helping spirits cross over. Highly recommend this series to those who enjoy ghost stories.
I really like this series. Becky is so sweet. The story get a little darker with each one. It's good to see them develop. This one had a lot of ghosts too.
A Medium's Easter Epiphany is book five in this sweet, clean cozy mystery series featuring ghost stories. In book five, Becky learns the true meaning of acceptance as she deals with a vengeful spirit who literally killed himself in order to get back at her. (He'd like to kill her too!) You either love or hate this twenty-six-year-old character, depending on your perspective about life after death and/or whether you have had your own experience with a departed spirit. I suspect that most readers love Becky even though some of the characters in this series don't. As one reviewer said, "wonderful, addictive... I cannot emphasize how much you will enjoy this book and the entire series. Each book is more delightful than the previous one. However, I encourage you to start from book one. Becky continues to try and help solve a few murders while helping spirits find their way to the other side. she continues to work with her siblings, run her own business, and attempt to have a romantic relationship while keeping her mother at a loving, but safe distance." Becky Tibbs finally figured out a good way to keep her mother from bugging her all the time! I was very happy for her! It seems like Barbara and Bobby are on a good path for their own ghost-helping-gifts. It was great to see the family together again. They seem so close. I love the recipes in each of these books as well. I was curious what would happen with Marty after what happened at the end of the last book. I was very surprised with his actions. I am glad Becky figured out the right way to help and encourage some of the other characters in this book. I was given this free review copy audiobook (via AudioBook Boom) at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Chariss Walker's series featuring Becky Tibbs and her two siblings as a family of mediums is quite entertaining. Becky accepted her gift as someone who can see and talk to departed spirits when she first found out about it. She is helping her brother and sister to learn to accept their own abilities. Her new boyfriend is part of the town's police force. He has called Becky to help on a case involving another policeman who can't remember what happened, but his girlfriend can't be found either. Kathleen Britt's narration is pleasant. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request, and have voluntarily left this review. Becky seems to have her family under control. Her brother and sister are dealing with their gift better and her mother is not intruding on her life. Now if life would just slow down enough for her to spend some real time with her boyfriend, but a new murder in town must be solved. A very enjoyable series, the characters are unique, adding to the suspense filled plot in this action filled, and at times humourous tale.
I cannot emphasize how much you will enjoy this book, and the entire series. Each book is more delightful than the previous. However, I encourage you to start from book one. becky continues to try and help solve a few murders, while helping spirits find their way to the other side. she continues to work with her siblings, run her own business, and attempt to have a romantic relationship while keeping her mother at a loving, but safe distance.
Series is holiday based. Basic assumption is mediums exist and can be very helpful. Both for those who survive the death and tat the dead need to take care of the incomplete business and leavr.
Easter is coming and the family has found a way to shut out Mom's interference. All three couples are responsible foe their own homes but look to Becky the youngest for guidance. Great story and I look forward to finding more.
I enjoyed this book except for too much spiritual explanation. Other than that it was a great book and an interesting plot as the characters are developing.
