Lethal Weapon, and Robocop, and Stone, Dallas Stone, oh my@ I love reading books with some dark and dry comedy. Add somr slasher feels and you have the perfect throwback to the 80's. I laughed. I bugged my eyes out. I had a blast figuring out all of the 80's action films that make cameos throughout. Jack 💩 even made a few appearances. But do beware. No childhood holiday mascot or fairy was left unharmed.

This is an unusual take on Christmas but so very good with hints of the future.
Children no longer want the traditional toys and it seems video games are all they ask for so Santa and his elves have no work and then Santa finds a way to keep the workshop alive but it definitely isn't for the children. Back in the 'normal' world Dallas Stone a cop who 'did things his own way' has been allocated a partner much to his disdain but Joel is new out of university and is very much a rules guy, saying they would clash is an understatement but when they get information about Santa's little operation they have to investigate. What follows is such a great ride that I was rushing to see how it would end and in between it held some funny parts and some poignant parts but all in all it was a good book. Well worth a read.

Absolutely brilliant read. It was hilariously funny and genuinely unputdownable. Love this author and can't recommend him enough, will now be going to find anything else he has written to devour.

Take a tough cop who dresses like a character in Miami Vice and wears a ridiculous mullet, add in a rookie with a heart of gold, then throw in Santa, elves and evil henchmen and you have an idea of what's in store with this book! As if that wasn't enough, you also have a group of thieving Ninjas and a robot that goes crazy while supposedly fighting crime.

In 1986, children aren't as interested in teddy bears and toy trains anymore. Instead, they want the latest video games. Santa decides that since his particular gifts aren't in great demand, he'll become the next drug lord! But, the elves aren't happy with this development and one in particular named Patches escapes Santa's workshop and gets help from none other than the aforementioned Dallas Stone!

This book was great fun to read and the action and snarky comments never stop. You will learn whether or not elves can get drunk (they can) or if they will enjoy a lap dance or two (you'll have to read it to find out!). Dallas Stone is such an over the top caricature that you will find yourself falling in love with him.

The narrator did a great job and his performance made this roller coaster ride of fun even better. If you enjoy humor, a unique story and don't mind a bit of profanity and some gory moments, you will love this book.

Lethal Dangerousness
This is another brilliantly funny story from the Welsh wizard that is Steve Mcelhenny. Great set of characters from Santa's workshops to the city streets. It is well written and fast paced keeping the listener on the edge of their seat. I loved the interaction between the maverick cop and his new partner and the elf. A totally new take on Santa will have you doubting everything you once believed in. Read Shepherd's narration was faultless and made a good book brilliant. Highly Recommended.

I laughed so much. I loved the senior partner, hard on the outside, but soft on the inside. I did also like how bad Santa became, but he was still jolly.
