"Relentless" by author, Brent Towns, is one in a series of action/thriller books which chart the operations of a group of soldiers known as Team Reaper. In this story, the team is on a mission in Somalia when they have to be rescued by an Australian SAS contingent who happened to be in the vicinity. Reaper and his team then return to the United States where a warehouse raid unleashes a chain of events that will lead them on a frantic chase across various countries to locate and rescue one of their own – a female who has been abducted by a vicious gang of traffickers. There is no shortage of action in the team’s desperate attempt to rescue her.
Lovers of action hero books will no doubt enjoy this thrill ride. However, for me the story lacked depth and some of the team’s antics seemed a little too implausible. And although the author is Australian, he has some of the Australian characters, one of whom is called “Bluey” -- surely a cliché for an Aussie character -- using words such as “cobber” which, in my experience, you don’t hear very often these days. That said, it is a thriller, the author knows his weapons, military procedures and jargon and it is one of those books that will have you wanting to keep turning pages to see where the action is heading next.

The next super entertaining Team Reaper Adventure. From Somalia, where a few Australian SAS guys save them, back tu the US. There a team member gets abducted and the Reaper is angry :)

Action packed from start to finish
Yet again team reaper are called on to fight against the drug gangs and this time it's personal as Cara has been taken prisoner and the team face various characters who are involved in drug and human trafficking that they have to fight against before they can get Cara back safely.
The storyline grabs your attention in a way that makes you feel you have to read it to the end without having a break.

Wow I can’t seem to get enough of Team Reaper. I absolutely love this series. I love the way this team works together & the way they cut up with each other. I hope that some of the new characters introduced in this book make it into future books. This book was filled with non stop action. This book grabs you from the start & doesn’t let you go. Grab this book right away. You won’t be disappointed.

'Relentless' really had me on the edge of my seat. Once I started reading, I could not put it down. This series has had me glued to the pages and every book is just as good, if not better, than the last. The team is tested time and time again, but they always come out on top. I can't wait to read more. A great add to your tbr list.

Great series
I have read all the books in this series and they are all excellent, action packed reads. Brent Tom's is now one of my favorite authors. I highly recommend the entire Reaper series.

A veritable smorgasbord of ministories within the main tale. As soon I one fight ended without the completion of the mission, the next phase resume. Accurately named, it was relentless.

Brent Towns is a master of his craft. Relentless, like all the books in the Team Reaper series, is a page-turner that will cost you hours of lost sleep should you be silly enough to start it once you're already in bed.

Not bad
It's the small things that irk me. It's not a big irk but still an irk. Some of the slang is definitely not American, and some of the military jargon is not American either. But so far, the series is not too bad. I will say Marines are not soldiers.

Relentless is an epic, fast-paced, bullet-ridden, explosive good time in the style of old pulp action-thriller movies, but set in today's world. Brent Towns fits a large and intensely chaotic story within a small space with his tight prose and its constant fun factor.
The Team Reaper is not just taking down drug cartels in this book, but they're on a hunt to get back a member of their team which leads them to a global platter of villains spanning many organized crime groups, human traffickers, and finally an ancient cult under the Vatican. The action is bat-shit crazy, the comedy is amazingly deranged, the villains are viciously evil, and the heroes are dangerously badass.
While it is a pulp men's action-adventure thriller, Relentless reads like it's a better quality experience than watching a blockbuster action movie or a couple of episodes in a commercial action-thriller TV show. The no-holds-barred, uncensored themes can put off the sensitive mainstream readers, but though the story gets insane in the plot and characters, it's a damn good piece of entertainment to let the mind let loose with escapism.
