Never Ever is the third book in the Eva Rae Thomas mystery series. Eva Rae, our MC, was forced to go on the run at the end of the last book when her daughter was abducted by a person close to the family. The trail has led her to Miami where terrorist attacks have been occurring. When she sees that her daughter has been recorded by surveillance footage at the site of one of the attacks, Eva Rae with the help of her sister, attempt to investigate and rescue the daughter, Olivia, but the police have unanswered questions that have put Eva Rae on the Most Wanted criminals list.

I love Willow Rose and this series (the first trilogy) has delivered on the suspense, and the horrors of being an agent for the FBI.

There are a number of things that are really enjoyable about this author's books. The action, intrigue, characters are exciting and her story will keep you on the edge of your seat. You also have to be the type of reader who doesn't go bat sh$t crazy when things require you to let go and just enjoy the story. I have now read three books of this series and while I really enjoy that there are multiple story lines going on at the same time, and I love that it's down and dirty, as I have said before. Will I read more from this author? Absolutely. Mainly because I read to enjoy the story and even when it stretches what I know to be true it doesn't bother me as long as it's a good well written story and that it is. Enjoy the wild ride of a mother who will stop at nothing to retrieve her baby girl out of the clutches of human traffickers. It's a story of acts of terror and cops that will do anything to close a case. It's a story of cults and scorned women and kids held against their will. It's a story of Eva Rae and never ever giving up on finding her daughter and finally telling Matt that she loves him.

Disappointing, this story was too much.

Seems the author tried to fit too many different stories into one and was largely unsuccessful

Daughter sold into slavery.
Illegal immigrants
Terrorists
Toxic gas being released in public places
Lover having to lie o protect who he loves
Capture, escape, recapture. Too stupid to call 911
Bad cops
Millionaire sister
Insane rich women
Transgender

Again Willow Rose continues to impress, intrigue, and engulf me into her amazingly written suspense novels.

What would you do if your daughter was taken? How far would you go to get her back?
Rogue? Vigilante? Murder?

Never Ever the 3rd book in the Eva Rae Thomas Series, an Ex- FBI Profiler, who just can’t escape her former duty!
She is about to take the law into her own hands and breaking the law, is just the beginning.

“Sometimes you have to do the wrong things, for the right reasons!!!”

Absolutely an amazing book you won’t be able to put down.
Fans of Lisa Gardner and C. J. Box will devour this authors books!

Willow Rose is a fabulous thriller author and when I saw this gorgeous cover, there was no doubt I had to have it. Human traffickers, terrorists and a cult abound and it’s hard to decipher who is doing what to who.

Someone took her daughter, Olivia, and Eva will stop at nothing to get her back. Her famous sister, Sydney is be her side as they hunt down the Iron Fist, a human trafficker. She walked away from her family and her lover, Matt, a cop who is trying his best to save her from Carter, a cop that will do anything to catch her and make a name for himself.

Time is precious and its running out for Olivia.

Has Eva crossed the line? Because of her treatment of the first trafficker Eva came across, there is a warrant out for her arrest and it’s all downhill from there. Eva’s friends will stick by her….no matter what. What has she done to earn their loyalty, admiration you will have to find out for yourself.

I think I see where Willow Rose is going with her dual storyline, both of which are horrendous and frightening and all too true in our current times. Truth is stranger than fiction and real life plays out on the pages as trafficking, gas attacks and the cult stories play out.

By the time I get to the halfway mark, the pace picks up and I begin to read faster.

Olivia..oh Olivia…my heart bleeds for you, yet I admire your courage, bravery, and determination to find your way home.

Matt, OMG, I cannot imagine the agony he goes through as he tries to save Eva from a ruthless cop, Carter, who is out to make a name for himself. Carter has tunnel vision and his sights are set on Eva. I think I see how she may survive and I am eager to find out if I am right.

Emma…what a fabulous surprise. Willow Rose does surprises well. The first surprise is quickly followed by a second. A villain is exposed and the surprises keep on coming. The twists and turns make my head spin.

Never Ever is the rawest writing I have read of Willow Rose’s and the first half didn’t ratchet up the suspense like the second half. For that reason I rated it a 4, but it wouldn’t surprise me if the rating went higher after the final edits.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of Never Ever by Willow Rose.

Okay, I finished what I set out to do: I read the first three books of this series to give it a chance. I have done that now and I will move on to other books.
I am a huge fan of thriller mysteries and police procedural novels. And as such her books are not very convincing to me. I am not sure she's ever actually done any research into how law enforcement works and the decisions her characters make are ridiculous most of the time. Maybe she should ask actual FBI agents or other members of law enforcement to let her observe their job for a bit. Or at least do some reading into it! Her protagonist is the least believable (former) FBI agent I've ever come across in writing...
What speaks for her books is that her writing is fast paced and she can tell a story reasonably suspensefully. The plot twists are still not very surprising and when they are it is mainly because it makes so little sense and often seems like an easy way out. Mainly, however, the stories are predictable.
Which is why I am not sad to leave her books behind for good. Three is enough.

This is the third book in the Eva Rae Thomas mystery series by Willow Rose.

Another great follow-up story in the Eva Rae series. Eva Rae is out trying to find her daughter, Olivia, risking everything including her freedom to get her child back. Olivia was sold via the Dark Web to an unsavory character called the Iron Fist at the end of the last book.

The dual storylines always make sense at the end when you get to see why this story not featuring Eva is shown alongside the normal action by our main character. I love the way Willow Rose puts together her plots. They are very masterfully written. The characters are so complex they feel like you are reading about a real person and not a character in a book.

Awesome book. Definitely check out this series.

Sooo Bad... How to explain???

Great storyline ruined by an inept writer. Good plot but simple minded, immature, poorly written drivel.

So, why was it so bad?

How about having the bad guys proudly spewing about their heinous actions at the 'exciting' end? Really? Just like in those awful, old, black and white B-rated movies?

And... the dirty cop (Barney Fife?) that sets the heroine up to take the fall... 'just because' and for no other reason? Again, Really?

And... the heroine's boyfriend runs UP 75 flights of stairs without stopping? Really? No... stop it now. Superman is Lois Lane's boyfriend.

There were many more gag-worthy scenarios in this train wreck. But I'll let you explore that if you feel the need.

This 'book' was almost hysterically funny.

Never Ever. # 3
Heart reaching to have a daughter and now no contact with her. The mother was the one with the problems, calling once again to say she was sorry and now changing. Riding the subway to work, wasn’t aware of the people who were filled with a panic to get doors open and outside for air. Eva sees on a survaliance footage what was happening and her daughter been kidnapped. That was all she needed to get into action, to save her, and if she lost everything else while doing it would be worth it. Gripping, showing the extent one goes thru for her child.

I really enjoyed this book and not only because we found out what happened to Eva Rae's daughter. This book continues from where the last book left off, with her daughter missing, so I highly recommend you listen to that book before this one, although it isn't necessary as it cod be listened as a stand alone but it does help with the continuity of the plot and both are good. The story jump around to different characters as the plot is slowly revealed. I don't normally like it done this way because it gets confusing but for once I think it worked really well and kept you on the edge of your seat as to how the story was going to turn out. The plot was interesting and I liked how Eva Rae was hunted by her own and he plans the traffickers had for the girls it added a twist to the usual trafficking idea's. Off to see what new ideas the author has in store for her great characters.
Eva Rae will stop at nothing to get her daughter back. Even breaking the law she once up held. But by doing this it puts her and her newly discovered sister running from the very people she once considered colleagues. She has no choice but go from one massage parlour to the next as she follows the clue left behind by The Iron Fist. The man that brought her daughter and started all this nightmare. The clues lead her to an organization that is run like a cult for the rich and famous. Is her daughter being held there? The worrying things is as she searches for her daughter she keeps catching sighting of her at scenes of terrorist attacks. Is her daughter just in the wrong place at the wrong time and is time running out for both of them?
I liked the narrator and thought she did a good job with the voices, especial the British voice needed for her sister.

I had to skip to the end because...

So, I felt like a middle schooler reading a book that I needed the teacher to explain to me every step. I liked the first couple of books okay, but this one was irritating because the writer explained the most mundane things to us as if we are too stupid to understand anything. The "darn", "dang", and "shoot" words made me feel like a kid again because we know grown people do not use those words. Then, making it seem illegals are just in the worst environment here because they are ILLEGAL and though they would not be looking over their shoulders for ICE if they chose the legal route, we readers should feel sorry for them. Just disappointed all around with this one.

The plot here was just too far-fetched for me. I also hate all of the different POVs, particularly the "then" ones. They aren't labeled well, so it usually takes me a bit to even realize which POV it is.

These books continue to get worse and worse! They are extremely unrealistic and the storylines are poorly written. The author tries too hard to make the plots “gripping” but you’re left rolling your eyes at these attempts.

Suffice to say, since I ought to, this is the last available volume on my kindle, so, this better not end on a cliffhanger like the last one. <- as you can see I wrote this before diving into this third volume. And I’m happy to announce that NO, no cliffhangers like before. I had to wait to finish this book cause my kindle died when I reached 60% or something of the book. Then I had to wait some more, cause while I connected the cable, I forgot to plug it. Old brain. Also, I gotta say, weird timing, me finishing books on point. It’s 4pm on a Monday, FYI.

Last book, we had Olivia, our main characters daughter being sold to the black market. And her mom abandoning everything to get to her before something nasty happened. A lot of nasty things happened. To Olivia. To a lot of people, actually. I got tears in my eyes on some parts. On this volume, Eva Rae, actually made some detective points. She made mistakes, but she wasn’t that bad from the main book. Forgive me, cause I jumped on this one coming from the perfect FBI profiler from a different book and author. The contrast was immense. But both authors captivated me differently.

Gotta admit that at some point I stopped paying attention to characters name, but I clocked the corrupted cop immediately (nothing against bald people, just the crazy in their eyes), and history tells that some chapters are the killer’s POV. So, that one was easy. There was a plot twist, which I won’t go into detail, but damn. I’m glad everyone that mattered survived even tho at times I was like, “no way”. And Eva Rae says “I love you” for the first time.

And that’s all folks. This series end for me here, until further notice. The next book is on my wishlist. One day the fourth book is coming. I’ll get back to these reviews and check it out, but will probably have to turn some pages to remember the plot, since I haven’t given anything away here.

It’s nerve wrecking. Sayonara.

Willow Rose has hit it out of the park on this book 3 of a page turning series! With the kidnapping of her daughter, Olivia, Eva Rae, retired FBI, leaves her boyfriend and other two children home with family and with her actress sister, Sydney, takes off to find her daughter knowing that time is not on her side. This book pits Eva Rae against all odds when in looking for her daughter. Knowing her daughter was sold to child traffickers when she comes in contact with child traffickers while looking for clues to her daughter's whereabouts, she takes them down while leaving a burner phone message to the local police to come and get them. The plot takes you in so many different directions leaving Eva Rae a wanted woman and attaching crimes to her she did not commit, she and her sister still stay below the radar looking for Olivia. You also have terrorism with Serin gas on trains, a church, a school of children and a restaurant the keep the police going crazy trying to solve that crime as well as trying to find Eva Rae. We are also treated to a egotistic publicity seeking, advancement seeking detective that would do anything to get the big promotion figuring Eva Rae is his chance. Once I began this book, I couldn't put it down and had to finish it in one sitting. Wow! What an ending, didn't see it coming. I was Blown away! I received and ARC from the author but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

Eva Rae's daughter has been kidnapped and she will do anything to find her and get her back to the safety of home although divorced she still has ties to her ex as he is the father of her 3 children so he wants to help by having the other 2 plus the help from his parents while she goes on to find Olivia. A lot of people trafficking is going on and Eva Rae need to look there and she has one good thing up her sleeve her sister is helping and by all accounts, it was mainly her fault that Oliver was taken. Her sister is a Movie star pretty and rich and is the long lost sister that was when her dad ran off and took Sydney with him and left Eva Rae with her mother. Things are hotting up and are going to take them to Miami, but Eva Rae has this knack of leaving a wake in her trail, she has helped young children get free by calling the police but leaving bodies behind not good. Looking at the news about a Nerve Gas attack on the MetroRail she sees her daughter but the mind can play dirty tricks when you are desperate, did she see her or not is she on the right path or not, quite an intense story well written and portrayed it shows what desperate people do in desperate times, well worth the read maybe a bit far fetched but these things happen in real life who knows what one would do if it was your child. I like this author she does have a good imagination and has written quite a few books This one is quite a gem.

Wow! Thrilling, roller coaster ride! Why 3 stars?!

I loved the never-ending twists in this book. I found myself mad as heck at Eva Rae many times, but, her fierceness and loyalty to the ones she loves and doesn’t make her a great character and heroine in this series. What I found eyebrow-raising was the story itself. It was a ‘new to me’ storyline and made it very interesting and grabs your attention. However, it was so left field that it became semi-ridiculous and sadistic, possibly the point WR tried to make. I love the social awareness WR raises in her books regarding Sex trafficking, terroristic acts and criminal cops, which are all too common in our world today. She actually made me want to seek opportunities to help organizations who combat sex trafficking of young girls. She certainly leaves you in limbo until the very end and I am all for this style of writing. Unfortunately, it gets to a point where WR had to decide if she was going to drag out the storyline longer or have Eva Rae tell the story to tie things together. The end of the book felt rushed. WR is a new author to me and I like her style of writing. I will continue to read her books and look forward to reading the next book in the Eva Rae series, Book 4, ‘Say You Love Me’.

Never Ever is a head-trip. Take everything you know about one Eva Rae Thomas and throw it out the window. Eva Rae is on a mission to save her daughter and no one - not even the law - is going to stop her. This makes for a killer thriller.

Willow Rose has upped the ante in more than one way as there is Eva Rae’s story and then Rose throws in some chemical bombs. Let me tell you that opening sequence...holy sugar. I am saying that but Eva Rae has many “OMG did that just happen?!” moments. Freaking cool.

Then there are the relationships going on...Rose almost had me crying at two points and I’m not telling you where! You have to read this series if you haven’t started it already. There is the confusion between Sydney and Eva Rae that makes it heart-breaking at times. If I had not already read a later book, I would be worried (giggle). Then the scenes that hit me the hardest: Matt and Eva Rae. Rose has made a super couple here folks.

Rose is diabolical because I did not see the end coming - AT ALL. Holy sugar what a twist.

As I said earlier, if you have not started this series...you’re wrong. (laugh...military phrase, sorry.) I love this series and Never Ever seals the deal. Now where’s my Eva Rae Team t-shirt?

Wow! What a ride! Maybe this was a little too stressful. There were so many dangers and tragedies. Eva Rae was on a quest to find her daughter and got embroiled in much more than she bargained for. There were so many evil people, hurting so many innocent little girls. I could hardly stand it. I wanted to reach into the book and severely harm or kill the bad people. The story was so intense that I could only read it for awhile before needing to take a break and let myself calm down.

It had been awhile since I read one of these Eva Ray Thomas thrillers, and I didn't remember how strong willed and stubborn she was. In this book when someone with less determination may have given up, Eva Rae kept moving forward in spite of the dangers. Thankfully she had her sister to help her and her lover Matt to keep an eye on her, too. But of course neither of them was always there. Many times Eva Rae was on her own.

It's amazing how Eva Rae's instincts were usually correct. I guess that comes from being a seasoned FBI agent...and a caring mother, who wants more than anything to find her daughter Olivia and bring her home. And thankfully Olivia was a brave and resourceful girl who kept herself alive long enough to be saved. What a story!!!

Your child has been kidnapped ! Is there anything that would stop you from saving their life ? How far would you go to find that child ? This story kept me on the edge of my seat reading & waiting to see what was going to happen next. As we begin this story where we left off from What You Did. Eva Rae Thomas' daughter Olivia was kidnapped. Eva Rae left the younger children in the care of her mother with backup from her ex Chad. Eva Rae knew she had been taken by a s.e.x trafficking thug, called the Iron Fist. She had did research online. So Eva Rae and Sydney left together in search of the Iron Fist in Florida. Eva Rae had to do some really bad things to get people to tell her and Sydney about the Iron Fist. As the two of them were on their search there were Nerve Gas attacks happening in Miami. Also there is a Cult in this story ? Eva Rae is a Mother that won't be stopped !! There was plenty of intrigue, action, emotion, deceit, twists and turns, that when you get to the end of the story you won't believe what happened. Fascinating story !! I highly recommend this book !! I was given an arc of this book. This is my own personal opinion. I also purchased this book. 💖🐧💋
