Friendship, love old and new, loss, mystery and of course Nantucket. Sigh. I’m sad to finish the book and say goodbye to my friends.

To be alone in a world where she was once idolized and held up as a shining example of success is not something Priya Wadhvani thought would ever happen. Having been swindled out of her life including her friends and family she’s finding it hard to believe she ever knew the man who caused it all; her 'to-be-fiance' Gaurav.
In an attempt to escape from the pain caused by Gaurav, she comes back to India where she met Ajai Mirchandani. But her struggles doesn't end here, there are many more hurdles in her search of happy a life.

Finding Myself is a story of friendship and love, betrayal and forgiveness, and absolutely the perfect summer Chick Lit read.

This book was enjoyable and easy to read. Author Nandini Dhanani did a good job of describing the scenery, the people and the situations they were in. Also, you could relate to the characters’ situations and I found rooting for them.

Finding Myself is a beautiful, captivating second chance love story. This story broke my heart, made me laugh, made me cry, made me smile, and, when it was over, sigh with happiness. This is a highly impressive debut novel by Nandini Dhanani.

Most importantly with Finding Myself, you don't just get a love story - you get an introduction to a set of characters that will have you itching to read each of their own stories. And believe me, they'll be worth the time you take to invest in them.

I love an epic love. It defies time and circumstances and always prevails. This is the kind of book that makes you feel everything and has you falling more in love with the story with every page. I can not help but admire this book again and again for the direction it has taken, where it has dared to go with the strong characters and the willingness to look beyond the romance.

Wow I read this fast. Completely compelling from the very first page this is a beautifully written novel by Nandini Dhanani, an authentic and intriguing family drama that had me completely hooked.

It is about the breakdown of an engagement, the heartache and sometimes ultimate life affirmation this can bring, a story about how we can never really know each other. This one truly spoke to me - the couple in this tale have been together a long time, yet here they are in absolute crisis. The story touched a nerve but only in a good way - I related so much to Priya ,especially as a lot of her thoughts and emotions so closely mirrored my own.

On the opposite side of that is Gaurav - a man who cheated on with Priya on their engagement day, leading to their split. Nothing is ever as simple as that though. The author does a really terrific job of delving beneath the surface of her characters, showing that in anything there are two sides to the story.

There is even more depth to it to be had in the form of Ajai Mirchandani, With whom Priya involved romantically after coming back to India, this does not lessen the problems in her life. As more secrets begin to surface, it is utterly engaging and really gripping.

The best part is the emotional impact - you feel right alongside the characters in this novel, you may take sides but in the end we can really only ever be who we are - a truth that Nandini Dhanani obviously knows for sure.

'Finding Myself' was consuming, thought-provoking and such an emotional read from the very beginning until the end. I loved the title, the premise of this book and even the simple, yet meaningful cover.

This story was equally heart-breaking and heart-warming so be prepared to be emotional exhausted at times, to smile and most of all, to feel. I love the concept and Nandini Dhanani did a fantastic job with the story of 'Finding Myself, It is so well written and so gripping. She wrote a sympathetic and likable heroine, who I couldn’t help but route for.

Finding Myself is about forgiveness, friendship, the end of relationships, the beginning of relationships, family, self-discovery, and a million other things. When you read this book, you are watching a story unfold and it’s thrilling and exciting. It’s such a great book. The storyline is excellent , it’s very detailed and it’s very well written. When the book ended, I wanted to read more but it was like...this just has to be how the STORY ends.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this novel, but I honestly didn't have my hopes up too high. The plot description sounded typical - privileged woman, down on her luck, cheated by her fiance, comes back to India, finds another guy.

Somehow I have a hard time sympathizing with those types of characters. But sometimes, the book blurbs are wrong and in this case, they were definitely wrong. While on the surface, this seems like another tale of betrayed-in-love girl , this one goes deeper.

I loved the air of romance and family drama woven into the story and I loved the journey Priya Wadhwani embarked upon. I also love how the story ended

It made so much sense, so be living a life, and then feel as betrayed as the rest of the world but also feeling guilty for everything you wish you could have prevented. And she is just an ordinary woman, wanted a loving spouse and a family, wanted the best for her family and was as shocked as anyone but like usual, the world completely turns on her, assumes that she is as guilty as the man betrayed her on their engagement day. And then building her relationship with another guy, Ajai Mirchandani, again, all of their connections and problems, so real so relatable.

Nandini Dhanani is an expert story crafter and story teller. Her characters are real, not just because they are based on real people, newsmakers in our own time, but because this author knows how to create three dimensional characters, good and bad, but with redeeming qualities, just like the characters that people our actual lives. They remind us of someone we know, or they make us feel, make the reader want to know them.

It sometimes takes a tragedy to show us who our we really are. And sometimes it takes awhile to get over the tragedy and move on. Especially when it wasn't your fault and you had no knowledge of it.

There are some people who's lives get lost in the shuffle of day to day living until one day things explode and you find yourself with nothing. That's what's happened to Priya Wadhwani who caught her fiance cheating on her on their engagement day.

Finding Myself is a winner precisely because it is true and real. It captures the reader from the first chapter and never lets go until Priya finds her destiny.

The scenery of the book will draw you in but it's the characters that move your emotions bringing tears of joy and sorrow. I liked the book. It has a nice, tidy ending. I expect my fiction to be all wrapped up with a bow.

I really enjoyed this story and connected with the issues Priya Wadhwani faced. Facing the consequences of failed love and relationships and trying to get her life sorted out. Much forgiveness and proof that people, specifically woman are resilient, abound through this story of friendship and love.

I did not want this book to end. Author Nandini Dhanani writes in a way that makes the reader see him or herself in at least one of the characters. They are real people with real problems, but everything ends up alright in the end. A perfect palate cleanser for heavier stuff, or personal growth.

I absolutely loved book Finding Myself, and, as it went on, I grew to love each of the characters, as well. With a very interesting (but believable plot line - which is something author excels at probably), the story keeps you on the edge of your seat and totally rooting for the characters. I absolutely loved it!
Good one to kick off summer reading!

It's about a woman rebuilding her life after she found out about cheating fiance their engagement day, about which she had no idea. So she is grappling with the fact that her entire life as she knows it was a lie and trying to rebuild.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a situation right out of the front pages and it was fascinating to explore it from this main character Priya Wadhwani's point of view. The other characters are all interesting too and I was rooting for happy endings for everybody. The author is excellent with dialog, back story and characterization. Highly recommend.

I loved the flashbacks within the book and how the characters developed throughout without being too cliche or obvious. The themes of moving on from past and finding your self are also incredibly refreshing

Finding Myself by Nandini Dhanani is a journey of Priya who just returned from overseas.
When she’s back, her parents started pressuring her for marriage. Is she ready for a wedding? For arrange marriage?

It starts with finding Mr Right for herself which she ends up by going for a meditation camp to find herself.

Firstly, I loved the cover and the title of the book. It’s the reason for a quick review. The plot of the story is interesting with some twists. The narration of the story is crisp. The author tries to keep the reader engaged throughout.

The book started in a wonderful way, but with coming chapters, and some unnecessary details it starts making the reader a bit tedious. Though I loved the climax of the book. The author sequenced the events well.

There were some details which I found missing. If the author has added some background of each character, would have made this story more interesting. The characters that the author made are strong and connecting.

The pace and the flow of the book are smooth and simple. The language used by the author is simple and easy.
The writing style of the author is lucid. One can relate to the story well.

The author beautifully portrayed Father- Daughter relation. This book has lots of drama and dialogues keeping the reader invested in.

Overall, It’s a good book with a simple plot and crisp narration. It’s a light and a quick read. This book is for beginners.

Priya Wadhwani’s journey is not an easy one, but she manages to think and stay outside the box, in the quest to find herself. Walking the tightrope between tradition and exploration, the protagonist always has a challenge ahead of her.
