About the author

Hiro Mashima (Jap: 真島ヒロ) is a Japanese manga artist.

He gained success with his first serial Rave, published in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine from 1999 to 2005. His best-selling work, Fairy Tail, published in the same magazine from 2006 to 2017, became one of the best-selling manga series with over 72 million copies in print. Mashima began the currently ongoing Edens Zero in 2018.

Fairy Tail won the Kodansha Manga Award for shōnen manga in 2009, and Mashima was given the Harvey Awards International Spotlight award in 2017 and the Fauve Special Award at the 2018 Angoulême International Comics Festival.

Edens Zero 6 was such an adventure. There were many great things and things that were super interesting within this volume. We finally have a character plot point with our narrator, which I thought was super interesting how those events unfolded. Im super interested to see how this series continues, although it will be paused until I acquire the next one. 5 stars for volume 6!

It's amazing how irritating Xiaomei became when she wasn't the narrator. It's a neat concept to try to use her as both a character and the one telling the story, but the personality shift just felt contrived.

Otro volumen de Edens Zero terminado este año y a punta a ser el manga más leído de todos hasta ahora (creo que no había llegado con ninguno al tomo 6). La historia escrita por uno de mis mangakas favoritos como es Hiro Mashima, cada vez más toma fuerza y se va despegando del famoso trabajo anterior del mismo autor: Fairy Tail.
En esta historia va tomando fuerza, desarrollando una nueva trama, este es un capítulo de conexión entre el final de una saga y el comienzo de otra que se viene muy interesante, y en realidad donde muchas cosas suceden: nos presentan por fin a quien será uno de los grandes villanos de la historia, nos presentan a varios personajes que serán importantes en ambos lados, nos presentan un nuevo planeta y más historia acerca del universo en donde los personajes viven, un poco de trasfondo del personaje de Homura y más información sobre la misteriosa Madre, la fuerza que los personajes buscan con desespero. Todo esto muy bien condensado en un grupo de capítulos que no se sienten pesados, por el contrario, se sienten divertidos y al final estamos viendo a los demás personajes interactuar más. Además van tirando pequeñas pistas que crean una sensación de misterio que ayuda mucho a que las páginas pasen rápido.
La única crítica que tengo es acerca del exceso de fan service en algunas escenas, especialmente en el primer capítulo de este volumen. Entiendo que es algo típico de Mashima y algo que vende el manga, pero siento que pudo hacerlo de manera más disimulada o quizás en menos dosis que darnos un capítulo casi exclusivo de los personajes femeninos poniéndose ropa sexi. Aún con eso, la historia es demasiado disfrutable, la trama que van tejiendo es muy divertida y el personaje del Oráculo del tiempo es por mucho uno de los mejores ejemplos, de los más bizarros de porque disfruto las extrañas ideas que salen de la cabeza de Hiro Mashima.

Die Gruppe ist auf der Suche nach Valkyrie, der letzten der Four Shining Stars. Auf dem Weg machen sie auf dem zeitlosen Planeten Mildian einen Zwischenstop, denn dort ist eine Frau, die alles weiß. So erhoffen sie sich den Ort zu erfahren. Doch die Information gibt es nicht ganz umsonst, so muss die Gruppe Kämpfe bestehen.

Ich finde den Zeichenstil wieder richtig toll. Jeder Planet ist so besonders und einzigartig. Hiro gehen wohl nie die Ideen aus. Das finde ich sehr bemerkenswert.

Und endlich finden sie mal nicht jeden Band eine der Four Shining Stars. Das war in den letzten Bänden ein Kritikpunkt von mir. Ich fand es in den letzten Bänden einfach zu einfach. Und jetzt kommt wenigstens etwas mehr Dynamik und Spannung in die Geschichte.

Es darf gerne so weiter gehen.

Continuing the quest to find Valkyrie.

With only one Shining Star to find the crew is off to Mildian, the planet of time. Here our narrator takes the spotlight as the Edens Zero crew visit her to discover the location of Valkyrie but before they can they must pay Xiaomei's price. Let the fights begin. In the mean time Drakken Joe has heard of Edens Zero an is curious so he has his own quest to start. Yes even the bad guys can go on quests in this story that suddenly reminded me of One Piece but with people looking for Mother as opposed to Gold Rodger's treasure. :)

Shiki dkk kini berusaha mencari Valkyrie tapi mereka membutuhkan informasi dari seseorang yang mengetahui lokasinya. Dan sayangnya informasi tersebut tidak gratis karena mereka harus bertarung terlebih dulu.

Jujur di volume ini tidak terlalu menarik, karena plot yang terasa hambar melihat pertarungan yang sangat singkat dan tidak meninggalkan kesan aksi yang memuaskan.

Namun penggambaran angkasa yang dilakukan mashima-sensei semakin indah dan beragam, para tokoh juga semakin rajin berganti pakaian dan ada banyak misteri yang muncul. Terlebih soal Edens one.

Another arc that looks like its going to be really interesting. All these different characters are so awesome! There abilities & personalities really makes me love them from the get go!

Also in this volume not only did I get the usual fairy tail vibes but a dragon ball one too.

4/5 Not as good as the last volume but still a lot of fun. We start out with the group meeting Xiaomai on a small planet with stopped time. There they have a small little battle competition to learn the location of the last of the Four Shining Stars, Valkyrie. After that we meet a strange old captain floating in space and head to a casino planet to find Valkyrie.

Manca solo una delle Quattro Stelle del Re Demone da recuperare, Valkirye, la maestra spadaccina di Homura. L'indizio per raggiungerla è sul pianeta Mildian dove il tempo si ferma e la misteriosa Veggente darà i suoi consigli solo a seguito di un sacrificio da parte dei nostri eroi. Il viaggio di Shiki e compagni prosegue e rallenta in un certo senso. Vedendo i volumi precedenti temevo che la questione delle Quattro Stelle si sarebbe risolta in breve tempo, ma credo non sarà così e anzi si sta rivelando molto intrigante e interessante. Ci sono anche nuovi personaggi cattivi ben introdotti e altri che di sicuro riveleranno la loro identità nei successivi volumi. La serie pur non avendo elementi innovativi si sta rivelando molto bella e piacevole da leggere e proseguire volume dopo volume.
