The Fae Witch

Rate this book
I've never liked magic, but now learning it -- and embracing it -- is my only chance at saving myself and my new friends. I must navigate this new world of politics, secrets, and murder as I find that some of my greatest enemies are closer than I ever thought. With the threat of the Elvish Queen hanging over my head, my magic lessons, and searching for both my family and my mother's killer, I have more on my plate than ever before. Onyx, Terran, and Reed are heating things up, and as much as I try to resist them, my body has other ideas when it comes to my sexy guardians. Will I be swept away by the tide of danger rushing over me? Or will I be able to meet my destiny and become The Fae Witch?

Sooo conflicted

On the one hand - ohmygoshthisbookwasawesome! I totally stayed up till 3am reading it on release because I love Quinn Arthurs imagination and it never fails to keep me hooked. On the other hand - why were there no sexy times with Onyx?! The whole way through the book Arthurs teased us with the promise of some Onyx lovin, and now I’m at the end still swiping left on my kindle trying to make the sexy scene I want so badly appear at the end of the book!

The conclusion of this duo finds Tori and her Guardians facing off against numerous enemies in different forms, as Tori grows in her powers.

To me, this story feels like it's fighting against itself a lot. Like it starts going in one direction and then shifts a bit and goes in another but never really explores any of them with much depth. It feels almost like it didn't want to be a romance novel—there's only two scenes with anything explicit (that I can remember) and a lot of the flirting feels a bit forced. There's a lot of what seems to be fade-to-black. And all of that is okay but I still wish some of the world building had taken center stage and that this had really been a New Adult epic fantasy, with deeper dive into Fae Realm society and exploration.

I was sent this book to review as part of Quinns ARC team. I absolutely loved the characters and their development shown throughout the story which made it easy to fall in love and root for them.
The story is completed well so no cliffhangers or unanswered questions yay!
I also found it was what I call an easy read so I could just enjoy the story as it played out and not have to overthink anything.
Definitely a book and series I will be adding to my re-read collection.

I am such a sucker for a kickass heroine!! Tori definitely fits the bill, love her strength, tenacity, love and determination to see things made right in their world!! The best part she gets 3 yummy mates to love and draw strength from along the way, what more could you want.....ok so there's also Dragons, a wicked queen, a war to win and lots of of sexy fun too!! So dive right in people, you won't be disappointed!!

An amazing conclusion to the Faerie Wars duology. Tori and her guardians are fighting against enemies, some known and unknown. This was much more of a fantasy book with a touch of RH which was oddly a bit nice from the high intensity heat of other books recently. Overall, Tori is learning to work with others, learn all the ins and outs of her new life, lean on and support her mates, all while discovering who she is. Read and enjoy!

What an end!

I wasn’t sure how Quinn Arthur’s was going to pack so much into just one more book, but she did it!

Tori and her mates were facing the struggle of a lifetime - cementing their mate bind and battling the Elf Queen to protect Tori’s new home and friends. This story of faith, love, and even redemption for Tinkerbells that need throat punches is well-written and delightful to read.

Finish this after The Guardian and move on to explore more of Quinn’s worlds, you won’t be disappointed.

Just fantastic

I just love stories about witches and faes and other supernatural characters. This series is one of the best I ever read. The characters are fresh, keeping suspense in the story. Although I would have loved more about the little dragon, Opal, I can tell you that you need to read this series. Humor, fear, love, lust and a lot of everything else thrown in put this series at the top of my recommendations.

This book was so good! Can’t believe everything that happened. The characters are amazing and I love how they are all developed from book one and throughout this one. After the little bit of a cliffhanger in the last one I was very happy with how this book went and how it ended! Another fabulous book by the fabulous Quinn!

Fantastic!

I absolutely love how Tori, Terran, Reed and even Onyx (headstrong as he may be) come together to do what needs to be done to protect their people. River and Opal of course are there to back them up, in ways I never expected. I cannot imagine a better follow up to The Guardian and I can only hope to hear more about how life turns out for my favorite Fae Witch!

Sad to see it end

Truly enjoyed this journey. The guys were dream worthy and the FH was practical and vicious when needed. An excellent writer who I enjoy reading. One of a few new authors who I will purchase automatically.

Fast paced

This book was extremely fast paced and at first was difficult to get into but once I finally started understanding everything moving as quickly as it did I enjoyed it. Love little Opal and Tori and her men were amazing.

I love this heroine and her men, they are all so different and yet mesh together beautifully. The story is well written and full of emotion, dangerous adventure and so much unexpectedness. What a wild ride Quinn Arthurs has taken me on with this one. I loved it and it’s perfect conclusion.

I’m struggling between three and four stars. It could have been so good. I loved the characters but it needed more. More about them, more sexy scenes and longer. It was missing something and I’m super bummed.

Really good!

I like Tori. She really grows in this book. The guys are still themselves with some growth but Tori is the star.

Awesome conclusion!

This is just plain good storytelling. I kind of wish it was their baby being named though lol. Overall, a great series.

Good reading

Nicely written story of magic and faith being bonded together with magic and love. Trials and twists make this tale a decent read.

While the idea behind this plot was excellent, the execution sucked monkey balls. The story was set in the Fae Realm, but no one ever left the Guardian's Castle Grounds, Not. Even. Once.

There was almost no world-building. Besides the "evil" Elvish queen, we know nothing about this world at all.

The main battle lasted for only a few pages and was boring.

The characters were very two-dimensional with minimal personality.

The relationship development was terribly written. There was barely any spice. It was a slow-burn book, but the slow-burn didn't pay off. The romance was almost nonexistent.

I was bored. The plot movement was glacial, then suddenly, it went into super speed and skipped over important details.
