Dedicated graphics API books are hard to come by these days. While you can cobble together the information from the web, it is convenient to have it compiled in one book.

The content is beginner-level, but its topics have just enough depth to motivate you to find out more on our own. The hands-on approach kept me engaged throughout. Graphics programming has an enormous learning curve, but the information here can help you clear the initial hurdle.

I would strongly recommend supplementing this book with a dedicated game math resource. If you're not as math-proficient the online book https://gamemath.com/ is a very good resource.
