So improbable. There were bits that might have been good but this was so clearly written just to be taboo that elements that might have been interesting or should have been developed were ignored. One example: How did a grown man who we are to believe is a mostly decent human being sleep with a co-ed and not even bring up birth control? And this 18 year old girl didn’t think of it either? I’m not saying a story can’t have unprotected sex but to not even have a worried thought about It? Nor any thought at all?

It wasn’t horrible but mostly just titillating for it’s own sake but not really even much of that.

This book was too weird

Honestly it was so weird and taboo. The bullying was awful and the plot centres around two people who didn't know each others ages so he could have had sex with a minor !!!!!

This book started off good, but I feel like a lot of things were left unfinished and not settled the way I feel they should’ve been 🤷🏼‍♀️ I also feel it was strange for birth control to have never been mentioned, however she didn’t get pregnant u til three months after graduation (which is almost 10 months after they got back together) I’m not against no birth control in my books, I just found it odd that it wasn’t mentioned and there was no unexpected pregnancy

I had major problems with this book, but as it's competently written, it can have 3 stars.

One thing I'll put out there before my issues list: This book should have CW for sensitive readers. It contains potentially triggering scenes of non-eroticized violence.

SPOILERS:

* The actions of a Bianca & her friends towards Hannah are not "bullying"---they are physical assault, as well as potentially triggering. Not cool of the author to dismiss the seriousness of their actions, and well as to consider the potentially triggering results for readers. When you have multiple attackers punching and kicking, as well as bloodletting---nope. It's physical assault. Also: Bianca physically assaulted her mother--NOT bullying. Please get this right, author: These themes are upsetting and are too readily brushed off in real life to brush them off in your fiction.

*Hannah may be 18, but she's an 18 year that's only KISSED one boy that one time, as well as being sheltered in several other ways. She's a high school student. Also, Jake, her "daddy', has a daughter her same age, in her same grade. Jake, on learning this, is afraid he's going to be arrested, but...oh okay, she had a birthday a few months ago! Given Hannah's lack of experience (both sexual and general life experience---the girl has never taken a drink of alcohol FFS!)--this is walking the fine line to ephebophilia. It is ephebophilia, in fact, which encompasses ages 15 to 19. Further, Upon meeting, Hannah is not wearing makeup, and her hair isn't styled to the point Jake has to help her detangle it. Yes, with makeup and styling an 18 might look older, say, legal age. An 18 year old without makeup and styling is pretty easily identified as being YOUNG. No plausible deniability for the male hero---he knows what adolescent girls look like, being a father of one. Again, not cool.

* Justin's daughter is a bully. She's verbally and physically abusive to her parents and peers. Her teachers are afraid of her. Everyone is afraid of her. Yes, Justin, you are indeed a bad father. But hey, your wife wouldn't let you put a stop to your daughter's behavior? FOH. Unless my memory fails me, Jake refers to his wife as a witch? You know...a B, words that come up routinely in this novel, and interchangeable in this context. Just a word to the ladies: Men like Justin are not boyfriend material. He's a crap father that blames women for his own failings, and he also shows a level of disrespect for the mother of his child that isn't appealing. Own your actions, menfolk. Women: stay away from men like Jake. Supremely not cool.

* We're at Book 5 with this series and this plot twist has happened more than once: Hannah is, at best, 19 when the story ends. She'll be starting college in another month with a baby bump! Oh, how adorable! There's a reason women discourage other women from having babies when they're still teenagers, and it's not because those women are witches and bitches---it's because they know the commitment motherhood requires is intense, and would certainly make attending college full-time--USC, no less!!!--a near Herculean-ette effort. This is not plausible, and it's not cool.

I'll stop there. Like, for real. Sadly, this will be my last Kelli Callahan read.

Hot and steamy, heartfelt older man/younger woman romance. The woman is a senior in high school, so barely legal, but legal none-the-less. The man has a daughter the same age as his new love interest, but the age gap is not as large as it would normally be, since he and his wife had their child as teens.

Hannah, our heroine, is going through hell and torture at school at the hands of a group of mean girls. However 'mean girls' isn't strong enough for these young women. They are downright violent criminals and their assaults on Hannah are sickening and may be triggering for some. This isn't just stealing someone's lunch money...

After her latest beating and humiliating, Hannah is desperately trying to get home unnoticed, but a good samaritan spots her and offers his help. This older hottie is caring, concerned and suspicious that Hannah isn't telling him the whole truth, but tries to help her regardless. He is going through a filthy divorce and is feeling fairly broken himself.

Justin, our knight in shiny Maserati, offers her a place to stay for the night and there they begin to feel the chemistry between them heat up. No doubt, their relationship explodes quickly, but it feels like genuine affection on both sides and they certainly have sexual chemistry for days.

Enter main, mean girl Bianca. The reason Justin and Hannah met in the first place, but also the person that causes both of them enormous amounts of pain. Why? Because Bianca is Justin's daughter.

The age gap is one thing. Her inexperience is another. But how can Hannah possibly continue to fall in love with the man who created the monster who has been tormenting her for months? Is there any chance at all for this unlikely couple to survive?

Steamy, angsty, sexy and has a quick and sweet happy ending.

3.5 stars.

Really quick read, I liked this, the hero was great, the heroine was great and I liked the heroine's friend.

And for anyone wondering, the daddy-kink was kind of light and not in a lot of scenes. So if that bugs you, it's not as prevalent in this book. Or, if you're like me, and don't mind or love some daddy kink it might be a little disappointing that there wasn't more.

Only had minor issues with a couple things.

Wasn't too keen on the mother of the heroine (sorry I can't remember names right now), at least when she essentially left her daughter for what 6 months? While I understood the reasoning, mom got a job in another city, daughter could go but she'd essentially have to take another year of high school because her current schools curriculum was different than public schools, so she decided to stay/mom decided to leave her daughter there, to finish out the school year.

Also wanted to drop the bully's mother off a cliff, I wish that type of parent was just fictional but I've known/seen/and heard about parents like this and it drives me batty.

And the major issue, no talk of condoms or birth control or STD/STI's. Most of the time I don't mind when that isn't brought up. It's not a huge pet peeve for me. I enjoy a good breeding story, more than I probably should.

However it does bother me when it's presented how this one was. The hero thinks about how he was a stupid, not prepared kid when he and his girlfriend (now ex-wife) were having sex, no condom and became instant teenage parents. He thinks this a few times. So clearly that was something that was (or should have been) important to him to make sure doesn't happen again. Yet every time he and the heroine have sex, not one condom is brought out, no one talks birth control, nothing, he's just spraying away inside her with zero issues.

Good

I surprisingly liked this book more than I thought that I would. I read it because the blurb caught my attention and ended up enjoying the story. Hannah attends an elite private school and is bullied mercilessly by a group of popular girls. This last time the girls take things too far and really could have been criminally charged if they weren’t blackmailing Hannah with a video of her naked. Hannah was terrified that they would release the video of her and kept quiet. Walking home wearing nothing but an old, raggedy picnic blanket a very sexy older man stops to help her. This is where their love story starts. They were good together and had amazing chemistry but their love was built on the lies that Hannah told. They had to find a way to overcome her lies and the other obstacles in their way. I liked how Justin took control of his daughter. It may have been too little too late but he finally stood up to his ex wife and made his daughter suffer the consequences of her actions.

Safety and Spoilers
Completely safe. H has only been with one other woman, his ex wife, h is a virgin. No op drama. H’s daughter is a bully and abuses the h regularly, this is all unknown to the H. His daughter and her friends are pretty violent, kicking and punching, stripping her naked and forcing her into a cold shower. There is some very minor daddy/lg play.

Hannah is a senior at a private school and because of her mom’s job moves a lot. Hannah has a bully and she and her friend’s strip her naked and leave her outside of the school. She is trying to hide and make her way home, she luckily found and old blanket. Justin sees her and pulls over to help, he eventually takes her to his place since she can’t get into her own house. Sparks fly between this older man and younger woman, but what will happen when she learns he is the father of her bully and he learns that she is 18 and still in high school. Fast-paced read with plenty of drama and steamy chemistry. I really liked this story and the characters are great, they really draw you in. A good read.

This was a great story! I can never put her books down when I start them. I am always swept into the story from the first page.

Hannah is having an awful day. Her bully and her posse was extremely horrible to her. They left her naked at the school with no way of getting any help. When a kind stranger helps her out. Justin stops to helps a girl who needs her help. They have a connection and hit it off. He tries to stay away from her due to their age differences. She is keeping a secret from him. When the truth comes out will they be able to work through it?

Started with lust but feelings happen fast too.

Heroine is bullied by Hero’s daughter - she isn’t aware nor is he that daughter is the bully.

The bullying aspect could have been dealt with better, nothing really happens to the bullies.

Hannah is a senior on a private school and is being bullied. Just when she thinks it can't get any worse her bully and her friends strip her naked film it and leave her outside without her clothes. She on her way home sneaking around bushes wrapped in an old blanket when a car stops beside her. Justin can't believe what he is seeing and almost doesn't stop but something about the young woman has him stopping. He offers her a ride home but Hannah doesn't want to tell him what happened so she lies and says she was in a sorority hazing. He drops her off at home until he sees her about to break a window to get in. Justin offers her a place to stay until her friend is home and Hannah accept even though she feels bad about lying to him. Justin is just coming off of a divorce so he is surprised when he is attracted to Hannah after everything he has been through. They both fight their attraction but before long they end up giving in. Hannah ends up staying a couple nights with Justin before she is able to get into her place and things with him seem like a dream come true. Until she walks out of school one day and sees him picking up her bully. Will Hannah be able to overlook who Justin's daughter is? Can Justin forgive Hannah for not telling him that she was finishing high school even though she is eighteen?

This is a great story that will draw you in from the first page. I really felt for her when she was being bullied. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I thought the punishment the bully got really was fitting. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This story is about Justin and Hannah. Hannah is a senior in a private high school and her mom is a consultant that her job moves them a lot, and now she is traveling to a new job. As Hannah is a young mature daughter, her mother is okay with leaving her alone. At the start of the book, Hannah is running late to help with a craft’s market at their school. She finally arrives and then encounters the school’s ultimate bully which ends up beating her and leaving her naked after everyone has left the school’s premises. She has no way to contact anyone for help and her only choice is to walk home and pray not to be seen, but luckily she finds an old dirty blanket to wrap herself up with. The story takes off when a car pulls up beside her and offers her a ride or to call the police. She chooses a ride in hopes that she will be able to breaking to her own home, but no luck, so he takes her home with him....Justin happens to be the father of the bully that caused Hannah all of her grief but he also became her savior without knowing what his daughter had done. Could a true romance bloom with a HS senior and a dad? Does age matter or maturity? Does the bully get reprimanded for her actions and will it be enough to make her see that the world doesn’t revolve around her?

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Hanna and Justin. Hanna is being bullied by the meanest kid in school most of the time she ignores her. However when she agrees to help her friend work the craft fair at the school on saturday. Things go from bad to worse. The mean girls can't stand the fact that she stood up to them. So when they find her in the locker room they burn all her clothes smash her stuff throw her phone in the toilet and kick her out. Oh ya and the topper they recorded her while she was forced to take her clothes off. Justin has just left the signing of his divorce papers. Where he has just learned that his ex-best friend is having an affair with his now ex-wife. While driving down the road he sees a woman in a blanket and no matter how bad things are right now he just can't leave her on the side of the road. Can these two be the HEA they didn't know they were looking for or will they find that the cards just are all stacked against them?

This is another amazing story by this author. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

School harassment and true romance despite the age gap
Excellent
Once again Kelli Callahan caught me with this story between a girl and a divorced family man that her daughter does not want to see. I found it exciting and scary to start when the group of girls harassing the others in high school, stump Hannah, humiliate her and leave her naked in the locker room, without her belongings, cellphone and keys. She tries to go home and a man, Justin, finds her devastated, trying to hide with a blanket taken out of the trash. From their meeting, there is a strong attraction between this man who is lonely since he was divorced and this girl who is also lonely while her mother is in another state. Their passion is hot, until Hannah discovers who he is the father of, and that Justin understands what his daughter did.
It's really well written, exciting hot, and sometimes very hard to read because of the repeated humiliations of the stalkers, but it is also completely different from the tasteless books that play on the age difference to speak only of sex. Here, there is substance and it is that which strengthens the characters and their romance.

When your bully's dad is also your Daddy

My Bully's Daddy is a sweet and sexy story about Hannah and Justin. She is a naive eighteen year old high school student who is going to private school. Unfortunately she is being bullied and one night it her bully and friends strip her naked and leave her outside the school. Hannah has to make it home and while walking along the road wrapped in an old blanket an older man named Justin pulls up to try and help her. As she does not have keys for her house he ends up taking her to his place. Let's just say that Justin is one very sexy older man and some than some sparks go flying that night. But what neither realize at the time is that Justin is actually that father of Hannah's bully. What happens when that little bit of information becomes known? Will Hannah and Justin be able to survive what happens next?

This story was entertaining and kept me engaged and wondering what was going to happen next. Both Hannah and Justin are interesting characters individually but also the way their relationship progresses and their interactions, both in and out of the bedroom sexy times.

I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

This was an OK read for me. The story was good and it features a trope I enjoy. I just never really connected with the characters. I liked Hannah well enough and I certainly felt horrible for her. The abuse she was putting up with was both horrendous and horrifying. Justin will not ever be on my favorite hero list. He may not have known the extent of his daughter's deeds but he was well aware there was a problem. He chose to do nothing to stop the transformation of their child into a vile preditor simply because it was the easier than arguing with his wife (When their marriage was falling apart anyway!). In my opinion, he was at the very best a mediocre father that helped create a monster that was let loose on a world that has enough problems. Then at almost eighteen years old they finally decide to step in and parent up!!? All I've got to say is good luck stuffing that genie back in the bottle. The school and teachers were as bad. Ignoring what was happening due to fear, intimidation and maybe worst of all money. There were some other things that rubbed me the wrong way but I will not mention them due to spoilers. This is my sincere, voluntary review.

It’s common to have romances between older men and younger woman. But what if the woman is still in high school, although of age. Then go one step further what if the man is the father of the bully who is making your life hell at school. That what happened to Hannah when she is rescued by a kind man Justin, on the worst day of both their lives.

This is a contemporary romance with steamy sex scenes. It is about two people who find themselves drawn together while their lives are at the lowest point. How can they overcome the lies, their hurt, the obstacles that are thrown at them. This is a well written book with interesting characters that you can relate too. The dialogue is well done and adds to the story. The sex scenes are steamy and add to the story. The book is easy to read and gives a sense of hope that things can change for the better and love can conquer so much. It is an emotional charged story that has you wanting the best for them. I enjoyed this take on the romance between an older male and younger female.

Pretty good

So despite the storyline being predictable, it was good. I was little worried for about half the book that Justin was going to end up in jail because it was hard to tell if Hannah was 18 or 17. I was relieved when that got cleared up.

Despite Hannah being so much younger than Justin it did seem that he missed out on his youth by getting Regina pregnant and marrying her. She was obviously just no good. But because of that I could see why Hannah’s youthfulness pulled him in.

Now Regina was the worse when it came to raising Bianca but it explained why Bianca was the way she was. I’ve never experienced outright bullying whether seeing in her person or it being done to me so I don’t even know how this happened. How the teachers were so afraid and the principle was just money hungry. It was ridiculous. I was happy to see in the end Justin and Regina being able to rein Bianca in.

I was also excited to find out that Hannah was able to tell her mom and their not be a whole lot backlash. I imagine in real life it would have been a total stop and some repercussions for both Hannah and Justin.

Justin is a 35 year old newly divorced dad and Hannah is an 18 year old who is dealing with the horrible girls at school who love to torment her on a daily basis. They shouldn't be right for each other, but sometimes what shouldn't make sense just does. Hannah is left battered and naked on the side of the road when Justin sees her. Unable to just drive past he offers her a ride. Hannah doesn't want him to know the truth of what happened so she decides to tell a little lie about her being in college and it was just sorority hazing gone wrong. What she wasn't expecting was to fall for her rescuer or for their feelings to grow so quickly. These two become inseparable until the truth eventually comes out in the worst possible way and not only is Hannahs secret exposed but Justins connection to her tormentors is revealed. So is it possible for these two to make it or is it just too much to deal with? This book was great. Sweet and sexy with the perfect amount of angst and struggle.

Can you be mature and old enough for everything, at 18? Hanna a senior in a private school is bullied by the HBIC, head bully in charge. Onc day, bully strikes again but this time leaves Hanna, naked with no clothes, no keys, no phone and no way to call for help, alone needing to get home. A stranger, Justin rolls up in a maserati and offers a lift. Will she take it dressed in nothing but a blanket? Will she be safe, he is rather good looking? Through circumstances absolutely predictable, Hanna needs a place to stay and Justin offers. Hanna stays for a few days. In that time, they fall into a relationship that changes both of their lives forever. Oh, and Justin happens to be the bully's dad. Will Hanna tell? What will Justin do? Is there a chance for Hanna and Justin? He's a bit discombobulated from his recent divorce. Will he go to step 3? Entertaining. Characters were nice although why did Hanna not try harder to put a stop to the bullying? Good story! I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review.

Kelli Callahan's genius is showing again! I have been a devoted follower of Ms. Callahan for years and should you read her work, you would understand why. My Bully's Daddy is her latest installment to The Once Upon A Daddy series and it is truly incredible.

Picture this... Hannah is a High School Senior that is being bullied by the head cheerleader and all around awful person, Bianca. She's the easily envisioned mean girl. After being crushed by Bianca and her followers, she is left bruised but not broken and trying to sneak home. This is where she manages to meet her future in Justin. He's on his way home when he comes face to face with the most gorgeous woman he has ever seen. I don't want to give away too much and ruin it for reader's but I encourage all romance junkies, like myself, to follow along as they find themselves their journey of a lifetime.

I voluntarily requested an advanced reader's copy of My Bully's Daddy in exchange for my honest opinion and I highly recommend reading this book as well as anything written by Ms. Callahan.

Our heroine is in trouble and gets picked up by the hero, who takes good care of her. Unfortunately, he is also the father of the person that caused her trouble in the first place.

This is a steamy romance with an older/young theme going on. Definitely not a daddy dom story as the hero doesn't have the spine for it, but still a very steamy read with a daddy theme.

The story was not what I was expecting from the title in that I automatically assumed (incorrectly) that the bully was male. Instead, it was the hero's daughter. The bullying was also a bit more prevalent and physical than I was expecting. Just a heads up.

Beyond that, the story was well written and easy to read, and our two characters had good chemistry. I felt that they went well together and provided support that was otherwise missing. I really enjoyed their interactions.

Overall, while this was not my favorite book by this author, I did enjoy it and look forward to her next effort.

Recommended.

I enjoy this new series from Ms. Callahan. I think this is my favorite, though I didn't like that Hannah was still in high school. Hannah is the victim of a bully and finds herself on the side of the road clothed in nothing but a sheet she found in the woods. She is bruised and bleeding after girl's from her high school forced her to strip then burned her clothes and left her no way to get home. Enter her White Knight in a shiny car. He's handsome, nice, and older. He takes her home when she has nowhere else to go. He shows her kindness when she needs it the most. Justin is just what Hannah needs and Hannah is just what he needs after a messing divorce. He tries to fight his growing attraction to the beautiful girl he thinks is in college. She wants him to given in. It's a chemistry and passion at its finest.

The title threw me off. Knowing only the title, I wouldn’t read the book. I read the other four books in this series and I enjoy them. So I gave this book a try. I’m glad I did. I feel bad for Hannah. For her being bullied and then finding out the man she fell in love with is her bully’s father, Justin. I love that Justin took action and disciplined his daughter for bullying people. I thought Hannah was a little bit naïve for not standing up for herself. I was bullied and I stood up for myself eventually. I don’t like that Hannah was left to live on her own while her mom had a job interview though it was miles away. She took the job without coming. This caused Hannah to be on her own for her whole senior year of high school. I wouldn’t leave Hannah on her own even though she was mature enough . I love the chemistry between Justin and Hannah. I love the ending. I wish it was a little bit longer to wait until the baby was born. I can’t wait for the next one in the series.

This is book five in the Once Upon a Daddy series. Each book in this series is a standalone. I have read each book and more from this author as there is always a good story to go along with some great characters in the books. This book I enjoyed and found interesting but did not love as much as others. This book with Hannah and Justin touch on a few couple tough topics of bullying and in my opinion abusive scenarios so if your a sensitive reader, please be aware. Otherwise, the story has a few interesting twists, one where Hannah meets Justin who is older, however what she isn't aware of is that Justin is her high school bully, Bianca's Dad. Hannah is eighteen turning nineteen in this book so this has no underage conflicts which at first, to be honest I was concerned about. All in all, it was an interesting read, a good addition to the series and I will continue to read more in the future.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This was full of drama from the beginning with Hannah's life being made hell by the school bully resulting in her having to walk home naked from school, however, a white knight Justin stops to save her after seeing her state of distress. Unable to get into her house as her mother is away Justin offers for her to stay at his home for the night only this is just the start of the chain reaction as she had not to told him exactly how old she is and the lies keep on spilling out. They have an immediate chemistry between which Justin tries to avoid but Hannah does not make it easy for him & eventually he cannot deny himself & gives in neither of them want their relationship to end however, things come to ahead when they are forced into a situation that could end everything between them when Hannah's secrets/lies come to ahead.
It was a matter of will they or won't they get back together though that had me hooked until the end, This was another fantastic book from Kelli Callahan.
