Molly Fitz is the quirky, cozy mystery pen name of USA Today bestselling author, Melissa Storm. Add to that, five more dogs, a snarky feline, comedian husband, and diva daughter, and you can pretty much imagine how life looks in the Casa de Fitz.

Molly lives in a house on a high hill in the Michigan woods and occasionally ventures out for good food, great coffee, or to meet new animal friends.

Kitty Confidential, Terrier Transgressions and Hairless Harassment are three quirky and humorous cozy mysteries. Angie Russo loves to learn and has earned seven degrees from the local community college. But a girl needs to work if she wants to take more classes (I know the feeling). She loves shopping at the local dollar store and her clothing has an 80s vibe (she really does not fit in at the law office). After being shocked by the old coffee maker, Angie can now talk to Octo-Cat. He needs her help in proving his deceased owner was murdered. Kitty Confidential is a story that will keep you laughing. There is one zany incident and unique character after another. Octo-Cat grows on you as the story progresses. I loved the cat’s reaction when he was served tap water in a dollar bowl (he only drinks Evian in crystal or Lennox). Octo-Cat’s snide comments had me chuckling. Octo-Cat’s little paybacks are hilarious and give me insight into what my cats are thinking (makes me want to hide my all my Converse sneakers for protection). Nan is a great character. I am glad we are seeing more of her. I like the author’s casual writing style and the story progresses at a speedy pace. Kitty Confidential is one of those books that you need to suspend your disbeliefs and reality. You just need to read the story and go with the flow. The mysteries are straightforward but entertaining. Pet Whisperer PI are amusing and playful cozy mysteries that will brighten your day.

My first impression of this series was: funny and weird!
I had to get used to the weirdness of this story. And to Octo-Cat. But after a few pages, I started to see the fun in it and the niceness in him.
So, when you get used to it, it is really a very nice story to read!

But you get used to the talking cat in this series. The second book didn't feel as absurd as the first. Well, still a little, but that was mostly funny.
I also felt the mystery part had become more mysterious. So I guess Molly Fitz has just gotten better at it!

I'm not too fond of cats, but I like these books! Molly Fitz does a wonderful job, describing the character of cats in general - or what we think is typical for most cats. Octo-Cat feels almost human, despite or because of his catness (is that even a word..?).

I can't wait to see what the rest of this series will be like!

Kitty Confidential - All you need is an open mind, an open heart and a wry sense of humor to enjoy the oddness that is Kitty Confidential. There is always a twist that's a little bit bigger and tad stranger than the one before, but through all the weirdness, Octo-cat, Fitz and her roster of quirkily, irresistible characters, give readers something to smile about.

Terrier Transgressions - Move over Sherlock Holmes. Here's comes the pet patrol. The Pet Whisperer and her trusty crew of misfits are on the case. With danger on their tail and a murderer in their sights, Angie and Octo-cat may have bitten off more than they can chew. Add in a heartbroken, somewhat clueless Terrier, a not so well guarded secret and an unpredictable chain of events, leads to an intriguing mass of chaos. Terrier Transgressions is a different kind of mystery. Humorous adventure, captivating story and an enchanting concept. I get a kick out of over the top and Fitz delivered the goods.

Hairless Harassment - Clever gains a sense of humor by taking a detour toward eccentric. Fitz takes on danger with her animal posse. A suspenseful turn with a cute twist, Hairless Harassment will take readers from what was I thinking, to why did I wait so long. Angie and Octo-cat will have my vote every time.

Book 1

Oh, my whiskers. This was. So. Much. Fun!!!
I am a big fan of cozy mysteries, especially quirky ones with pets. And this one was a gooood one!
It immediately starts out fun: (quote) “The first thing you should know about me is that I hate lawyers. The second is that I work for them.”
Seven associate degrees and still: a job she doesn’t really like. A freak accident leads to her being able to talk to animals. Octo-Cat says he knows that his previous owner was murdered. But he didn’t see whodunit as all humans look the same! LOL. Make no mistake: he is the boss, not Angie. He leads the investigation, not Angie.
I loved this book! I doted on Octo-Cat! I adored Angie! The book has a very light-hearted tone that I loved. Angie is not averse to self-mockery. Octo-Cat is one crabby tabby! A cat with attitude.
I did know whodunit long before I was supposed too. There were only really a few suspects, and the case was quite simple to solve. But it was still super exciting! I loveloveloved it! This story hit the right spot. I was bummed when it ended; I wanted it to continue!

Book 2
My high expectations were fully met!
Octo-Cat is a superior cat. That we already knew from book 1. He continues to be the boss in this installment. Such fun to read about!
Angie and Octo-Cat had already deserved a place in my heart. And now Yo-Yo! Angie needs the doggie’s testimony, but can only do so with the help of our beloved Octo-Cat. Who, of course, grumbles and grouches before he accepts. And then keeps on grumbling and groucing LOL! I wouldn’t have expected anything else! Complicating factor: Yo-Yo doesn’t realize his owners are dead…
Another adventure for Angie and her loved ones. The first book in this series was great. So my expectations were high. And my high expectations were fully met! I loved everything about it. No comments whatsoever. I smiled throughout the book, occasionally laughing out loud or snorting very unladylike... I loved it!

Book 3
I enjoyed it!
I love this series! Quirky, cute, fun! And this installment was all that, but I didn’t love it AS much as books 1 and 2. It’s still very good! Had I not read books 1 and 2 I might have given the full 5 stars. But to mark the difference I gave one star less. I still recommend it wholeheartedly! It had twists and turns and it was very surprising! I enjoyed it!

KITTY CONFIDENTIAL is the first in the Pet Whisperer, P.I. series. I strongly recommend reading them all and in the order of release. Me? I can’t wait for the next one to be available.

I wanted to be Dr. Doolittle back when it was Rex Harrison playing the part and singing the songs – everything is better when you sing it! Hmmmm, I wonder if singing would make a certain grumpy OctoCat a little less curmudgeonly.

How Angie came to be able to understand her feline overlord (all feline are overlords, just ask them) is imaginative and a perfect lead to all of the coffee snark to follow. This leads into her looking for who murdered the cat’s former mistress.

Since I love cats, cozy mysteries, and a certain old musical movie, this was a sure fire winner for me. It did not disappoint at all and I am looking forward to more from this series. It’s yet to be seen if Angie will be able to talk to other animals. I hope she does. Given the names of the next few books, I’m hoping she will be talking to terriers, Chihuahuas, and other sweet pets.
_________________
TERRIER TRANSGRESSIONS is the second book in the Pet Whisperer, P.I. series. If you haven’t read the first story, it is recapped, but I strongly recommend reading them all and in the order of release.

It turns out that Angie’s superpower isn’t like Doctor Doolittle. She will need Octo-Cat to interpret the petrified whimpers of a traumatized terrier in order to defend a suspected murderer.

There are an increasing number of people who know Angie’s secret. A secret shared is no longer a secret. Where might this lead in future books? In any case, the characters are wonderful and the interaction is realistic.

In the meantime, these light, fun, easy to read, cozy mysteries are perfect to share with your family with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments to take the edge off the somber theme of a double homicide witnessed by a Yorkie who loves his parents. I’m looking forward to more from this series.

Note: While I received these books as gifted ARCs, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

Kitty Confidential
This book was written by an author who has obviously been owned by a cat at some point in her life. I’m not sure I can really comment on the mystery contained within this book. I was too distracted by the antics of Octavius Maxwell Ricardo Edmund Frederick Fulton to pay much attention to the investigation. Angie drove me a little batty, though. I thought she was too quick to jump to conclusions and was too determined overlook the obvious even when it was staring her in the face. I’m intrigued by this world the author has created and I will be interested to see where else the series goes.
Terrier Transgressions
Outrageously fun, and just as outrageously improbable. Doctor Doolittle meets the Keystone Cops? Sounds about right. This time ‘round, Angie and Octo-Cat – our favorite crabby tabby – get roped into playing interpreter to a traumatized Yorkie who’s recently lost his owners. What follows is a series of zany capers worthy of the aforementioned Keystone Cops as Angie and Co. race to decipher the clues the Yorkie’s able to give. I adore Octavius. I’m sure most of it is because I’ve been owned by felines with similar “discerning” personalities. Angie’s still got that tendency to get fixated on a single theory, but she recognizes her problem and is trying to do better… sort of. I had a ton of fun with this book and I look forward to reading lots more about Angie and Octo-Cat.
Hairless Harassment
Angie and Octo-cat are back at it again, and this time they need to figure out if the death of their new neighbor was as innocent as it looks, or if their instincts are right and foul play was involved. I love the different twists the author has devised to keep Octo-cat from becoming all-powerful. (A legitimate concern for anyone who’s ever dealt with felines before.) Even though all the cats speak the same language, the sphynxes do so only in riddles. So, everything they tell Angie and Octo-cat is open to interpretation. I found that there were points where the pacing felt like it dragged a little, but overall, this was a fun story that kept me entertained. I’m looking forward to finding out what’s next in store for our intrepid sleuths.

Book 1
I honestly was not sure if I was going to like this story about a pet whisperer but I loved it. It was a funny, fast paced mystery with great characters. Angie Russo is a quirky paralegal that seems to have nine lives and she is not the kitty. It was fun to watch her solve the mystery of who killed Octo-Cat’s owner. I really look forward to reading more stories in this series. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

Book 2

Another great story in Molly Fitz's new series. What's not to like? Angie Russo is a paralegal who happens to speak to a cat she has named Octo-Cat. Angie electrocuted herself at work with the cord from a coffee pot. Ever since that happened in the first book in the series she has become a pet whisperer and now owns Octo-Cat who inherited quite a lot of money. Now Angie and her cat PI are solving their second murder. This mystery is fun, quirky, and humorous. I like that I had a hard time figuring out who the murderer was in this book. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

Book 3
Angie Russo and her Octo-Cat are at it again trying to solve the murder of her next door neighbor, Lou Harlow, a Maine senator. This story also has two added cats from the crime scene, Jacques and Jillianne. They are sphinxes. I was surprised how this story ended and I was also surprised that Angie bought the Fulton Manor. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

This is a quirky collection of stories where the main mystery solver is a cat - Octo-Cat to be precise. First in series is Kitty Confidential, which introduces both Octo-Cat and his human. Octo-Cat is a lovely character, and so is Angie Russo who, after an electrical accident, can understand him. There are twists and turns (as there would be in in a “Pet Whisperer PI” story), but the ending is satisfactory and this is a lovely new string to Melissa Storm’s writing bow, as Molly Fitz.
The second book, Terrier Transgressions, is a laugh-a-minute, over-the-top combination of an ability to talk to animals and detective work. Pet Whisperer Angie and her trusty sidekick Octo-Cat (who’m I kidding; Octo-Cat is no-one’s sidekick) are rumbled by one of Angie’s colleagues and, to keep her abilities a secret, she has to help him solve a case. It’s impossible to take a book seriously when one of the main characters is a Yorkie named Yo-Yo that is also a key witness. If you’re looking for bizarre, daft, and lighthearted, this is the book you’ve been waiting for.
Finally, book 3, Hairless Harassment: This book has twists and unexpected turns, and the murderer uses the cats’ natural inclinations to subvert them to his/her evil purposes. As with the other Octo-Cat books, when you read this, you’re assured of a gentle and ultimately satisfying reading break, and I recommended it on that basis.

Kitty Confidential
A furry murder mystery

I really enjoyed the first book in this series, just couldn't put it down.
When Angie gets electrocuted at her job she gains the ability to talk to animals. The first animal she meets is Octavius who's owner has just been murdered. After dubbing the cat Oct-cat the pair set out to find the murder but will they be able to do it without Angie losing her life.

Terrier Transgressions
Fur, Mystery and murder

The second book in this series is as enjoyable as the first, I simply devoured it. When Angie gets caught taking to Octo-Cat the pair a drawn into another murder mystery. The witness this time is a Terrier and Octo-Cat is not a fan of dogs. Can Angie convince her cat to help and get the bottom of this mystery before the wrong man is convicted

Hairless Harassment
An excellent furry murder mystery

Another enticing murder mystery for Angie and Octo-Cat when their next door neighbour a prominent Senator mysteriously dies. This time the culprits could be her two Sphynix who Octo-Cat doesn't like them because they talk in riddles. Can the pair find out the truth.
I am loving this series and can't wait till the next book comes out

Book 1: I love mysteries. This is also entertaining with a cat that talks & the crazy situations that occur while trying to figure WHO DONE IT? I definately didn't figure out who the murder was. Really fast, fun book to read. Highly recommend. I received an ARC copy. This is my honest, voluntary review.

Book 2: Angie seems like she is a real mess when Charlie overhears/see her talking to a cat. But that's a small problem because the big issue is the case of WHO DONE THE MURDER? This is another fast read, fun, funny story. It should make you laugh: what happens, things the cat says, etc. I can't wait for the next book. I received an ARC. This is my honest, voluntary review.

Book 3: The first 2 books are good but this one is better. Finally Octo-Cat shows he likes Angie & is especially funny. I had no idea "who done it" which I like. I can't wait for the next book in this series. I received a ARC of this book. This is my honest, voluntary opinion.

Kitty Confidential - A mystery to solve for Angie and Octo-Cat. she wasn't a cat whisperer but close. Loved Angie and her grandmother was awesome. I had to warm up to Octo-Cat. There were a couple of mysteries in this book.

Terrier Transgressions - What will Angie do when her new co-worker finds out about her ability? Or more importantly what will he do? Angie and Octo-Cat are on the case again with a few helpers this time. Loved the banter and how they all worked together to solve the murder. A possible nemesis stars in this story and I wonder if they will be in the next one.

Hairless Harassment - Angie and Octo-Cat are back on the case. This time her mom is in on the action - love how she is trying so hard to bond with her daughter. Who killed the senator and will this duo be able to solve it? Hoping the author gives Angie a romance - soon. :)

I really liked this boxed set by Molly Fitz ! I immediately fell in love with Octo Cat and Angie Russo, his new human.
After being electrocuted by a coffee maker at work, Angie Russo suddenly develops the ability to understand Octo Cat ~ the sole survivor of her boss's aunt Ethel, and beneficiary of her will.
After agreeing to help Octo Cat help find who murdered his person, they set off on some incredible adventures with not only a terrier named Yo-Yo, but a pair of Sphynx cats named Jillianne and Jacques, and her Nan.
Easy reads, a cat with an attitude and a taste for Evian and seafood Fancy Feast? Count me in !
Bring on the next Octo Cat and Angie Agventures, because they had me laughing so loud at some parts, my own cat jumped off of my chest, gave me a look of disgust, and left for the recliner !

Kitty Confidential*****
Great series starter that definitely has me hooked. It's entertaining and laugh out loud hilarious. Plot flows well and very interesting, never a dull moment.
Terrier Transgressions****
Molly is easing into her newfound abilities and connection with Octo, who is very demanding. Most times, dogs & cats do not blend well, such is sort of the case with this dynamic duo. I think Molly shows some progress and does better with her sleuthing as well as with Octo. I enjoyed reading this fun and entertaining addition to the series.
hairless Harassment***
This one threw for a loop, as soon as I thought it was over and solved in comes the monkey wrench. It's still pretty good just not as intense as the previous two I've read in this fun and entertaining series.

" In his mind, cats were the most intellectually superior species on the planet, which seemed laughable to me. Were humans otherwise deluded about their place in the animal kingdom? It sure made me wonder. "

Angi inherits a cat: a snarky, superior feline who, with his former owner's inheritance brings Angi Russo more joys, and concerns she's ever had in her life. From moving into OctoCat's new digs, to dealing with a literal yo-yo of a dog to a riddle spouting pair of hairless cats, the pair of amateur detectives solve crimes by the hilarious skin of their teeth.

If you get a chance to read the three stories here, and get through the snark to find the hilarity, you will have a great time. Highly Recommended 5/5

Kitty Confidential-This is a fun book with a silly cat that talks to Angie. They are funny, lovable, and the cat can be sarcastic.
Terrier Transgressions-Wow mystery and suspense at its best. Twists and turns that will keep the reader wondering what’s going to happen next. Add a little whimsy with a talking cat that only talks to Angie and it’s a very interesting book.
Hairless Harassment-This book is another adventure for Angie and Octo-Cat. It so happens that it’s a murder and it’s right next door! Angie and Octo-Cat are funny at times and then add Nan to the mix and it’s hysterical.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and gave my honest opinion.

These three books are cozy mysteries. Angie Russoi a normal young lady with a job and an apt, until one day when she plugged in an old coffee maker at work, and got the shock of her life. When she woke up, she could understand Octo-cat, who wanted Angie to help him find out who killed his owner. In the second book a co-worker discovers her secret and wants her and her cat to prove his client is innocent. Then in the 3rd book, Angie and Octo-cat move and discovers the senator who was murdered lived next door to Angie and Octo-cat' s newly purchased house. Join Angie and Octo-cat as they go around solving murders in this box set of 3 stories.

Having cats of my own, I enjoyed “Kitty Confidential” and particularly Octo-Cat, wishing I could understand my own crew of felines better. This quirky, cozy mystery series gives Angie Russo some real shocks as she gains an ability to communicate with animals and pursues the truth in several untimely deaths in her community.

I received a free advanced copies of these books and am voluntarily providing my honest review. I recommend the “Kitty Confidential Series” to all lovers of cozy mysteries and animals, and look forward to more books in this series.

In Book # 1, this was a fun cozy mystery to read. I have to say I haven't read many but I enjoyed this one! Who doesn't love a talking cat telling you that his owner was murdered??!! This all happens during the reading of the will and the person "hearing this" just had a life altering experience with a zapped coffee maker (yes, you heard that right!) so she can't believe what is happening! Go along for the ride with Octo-Cat and the rest of the crazy characters as a murder is solved! The murderer may surprise you, as it did me!
I'm sure the other books are just as fun!

The Pet Whisperer P.I. by Molly Fitz was so much fun reading! Octo-Cat had me laughing, crying and wanted to stranger him, but was so like my cat it was scary. These books are a who-done-it with the detectives being…a cat and his human. After being electrocuted by a faulty coffee maker, Angie can hear Octo-Cat but no one else can, well besides other animals. Together they solve crimes where animals are the only witnesses. If you are looking for adventure, mystery and a whole lot of fun, these are the books for you!

Kitty Confidential review - A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. A fun dialogue going on between Angie and a tabby she calls Octo-Cat who helps Angie solve a murder. Since Angie was the only one who could hear the cat she had to pretend no one thought her crazy talking to a cat she found a way to converse with a twist. A good start to a fun series. Cannot wait to read the rest.

After and accident with a coffee maker Angie woke up and discovered she could talk to a cat .. and he could talk to her. Octo-cat is hilarious, demanding, bossy and a real prima Donna but his owner was killed and he needs Angie to prove it. Follow Angie and Octo-cat as they solve mysteries in this brilliant set comprising the first three books in this series. I definitely recommend this box set .. I read all three books individually and they are delightful.

These books are a great read. Loving the duo of Octo-Cat and his detective partner, Angie, the Pet Whisperer P.I. The mysteries were well written - so well written that I did not determine who the culprit was - and I like that. The author developed all the characters with such finesse that you immediately felt you knew them all. I read books 1 - 3 in a row without taking a breath. I definitely give these three a five-star rating.

This collection of stories is easy to read and lots of fun. Angie and Octo-cat are an unlikely pair for solving crimes but they always manage to find the clue that unravels the mystery. You can't help but fall in love with Octo-cat and Angie. Octo-cat is irreverent and demanding, and Angie is his side-kick or is it the other way around? Regardless they are entertaining.

Angie is a plain paralegal in a law firm in her hometown. But when after a nearly death experience due to a coffeemaker, she can talk to Octavius, a very posh cat her life takes a turn and she will star solving murders with the help of Octavius, aka Octo-Cat. They will talk to Yorkshire and hairless cats to find the clues to the mystery that follow them.
