Rogue Vampire Academy #2

Rogue Academy: Part 2

Rate this book
With shifters manning the gates to Rogue Academy and a stream of new vampires joining her cause, Mariella knows better than to question the one sure fact - war is imminent.

There is no stopping Boering, there is no truce to be called and there is no time to be wasted. Still, no matter how diligently Mariella prepares for the chaos ahead, life keeps throwing her one curveball after the other. Demons are unleashed and enemies from her past return, offering friendship. Offering support. Trust is a fickle little bee. Even more importantly, nothing is certain. Not life or death. Not victory or defeat.

How much will Mariella have to lose in order to win? And what place does new love have in the midst of a war?

I am loving the academy reads and this second one in this series is just awesome! Mariella is back and with war imminent she is doing everything she can to protect her students. Action packed and filled with twists and turns I just loved this!

You may think that this is just another Academy book but its not – IT’S SO MUCH MORE!!!!, This one is written from a different perspective, very original and bloomin brilliant!!!!
Mariella is a born vampire, Reece is her very human Boyfriend and together they have set up the Rogue Academy to help those in need who have good in them, the forgotten, unwanted and out of control vamps now have a home and a place to feel safe. The Academy aims to teach new vamps and existing vamps that have lost control to survive and live amongst humans undetected without being a threat and to find their place in society. All good right?
Well no, not when war is brewing – war means losing people you care about, changing and threatening everything Mareiella and Reece have fought to set up and protect. There are plenty of twists and turns in this sequel to keep you interested, humour and a really good storey line plus the ending has you hankering for the next book which in my opinion is a sign of a really good book.

A lot going on...

This second book had a lot of things happening. I kind of wished things would have slowed down and been more detailed. It just seemed like one thing after another without a whole lot of rest for the students and Mariella (or the reader). I think the flow of the story made it a little difficult for me to get into.

I enjoyed this book but maybe not as much as the first...there were different things I liked more in this book than the first book though. For example, I liked the relationships with her men better in this book than the first one. I actually enjoyed the plot a little more in the first book than this one.

I have read a few books from these authors and I wouldn’t say this series was my favorite but it wasn’t my least favorite either. With how this book ended, everything was wrapped up nicely so they could decide to let this be the end or they could expand and make another book.

Not At All What I Hoped For!!😔😕
(Read using Kindle Unlimited)

Book #1 was fast paced, full of danger & romance with an evil Vampire Council leader out to take the Rogue Academy & especially Mariella down!! It was a fabulously exciting read. This book wasn't what I was expecting in the follow up at all!!😔👎 It centred almost entirely on preparing the Academy for the expected attack. We spent an inordinate amount time in head listening to her ramblings.😳🙈 Xander was barely in the book, he went to free her 2nd fated protector, Archer, then disappeared until the near end!!😱

It was an ok read but after the lead up from book #1 I was expecting so much more!! I thought the Council would get involved, even if it towards the end. I expected the foursome to come together much sooner than the last page!😡 I thought her Parents return would trigger the Council taking down Boering but none of that happened! I'm pretty disappointed 😢 On the plus side - the big fight was good 👍

This is book two in the Rogue Academy and Mariella and Recce are back and they are having to prepare for war against Boering and his vampires but Boering has also sent spirits to try and attack Mariella and we get to meet Attic who she has to ask for help because she thinks she is going mad .But while fighting her unseen enemy she also has to get her students ready to fight the war along with the help from Xander and his shifter friends. we also get to meet a new member to the team call Archer who i think is my favour male charter. There are still some surprise in store for Mariella and some big changes for her love life that at first she does not want to except. This book is a fantastic second book and the story line just keeps getting better and better i love Mariella she is a strong female and is respected and love by her students and the three men around her.

H E L L to the yes! I really enjoyed book 1 and this book didn't disappointed. It wrapped things up for me and events that were unraveling in the first book. Mariella is fierce and I love her. The bad guy definitely deserved everything that comes to him. The Karma bus needed to run him over and back up and ran over again. Her relationship with her men grows throughout this series and they would truly do anything for her. Again great wrap up from book 1 and I hope to get more of Mariella and her men at some point in the future.

This book had so much potential but it fell flat for me. I love Savannah Rose and think she is such a creative writer with great story ideas. My problem was i can tell this book was written quickly. I felt gaps in world and character development and felt the story moved way too fast and then all the sudden was over. The timing didn’t feel realistic to events. If there had been more detail added to this book it had 5 star potential but I just finished feeling like I never really connected with anyone in the story.

In book 2 Mariella is still trying to run the Academy whilst under the threat of Boering. Who not only hates her but the whole Academy and the students too. Add to the mix hot men troubles & Mariella's life is not exactly a quiet one. The action seems to have stepped up a notch in this book & i liked that it did. The characters are loyal, witty, sexy & funny. I loved that & its just a fab read as was the last book to. It doesnt disappoint

Perfect.

The plot was great and i loved all the action. I wish that Mariella had more one on one time with her men. I did love the scenes with Archer and Xander though. You can feel, just by reading, that Mariella has so much love and devotion for her academy and would do anything to keep her students safe. I loved that about her.

Very enjoyable great reading

I really enjoyed this book and loved the characters and how they came together. I was glad that they got Boering but sad that they lost some students in the war but at least she got to see her parents again.

So much going on and threats all around can she save herself and the academy and hopefully find her parents. I enjoyed how it all wrapped up and showed all the emotions

A solid read

This book does take you I'm an interesting ride. The MC is a bit new to the heroine thing but she's getting there.

Good read

Again not what I was expecting. Wasn’t sure which way this was going to go but overall I’m good with the way it ended.

A cute read, but seriously in need of proofing. Multiple lore inconsistencies and grammar errors were jarring. The story was good, but a better editor could have made it really shine.

Pretty good so far

Still some burning question but some questions are answered. As always I need more. I liked the few surprises I got from this book and the authors did well in keeping me intrigued and ready the book in less than a day. Thank you for the book. Now NEXT!!
