A thrilling ride through London,Sweden and Russia with the incredible Gabriel Wolfe!! We see an enraged Wolfe being hunted by an assassin, after a woman he once loved and still felt as a close friend is murdered when they missed HIM!!! As an operative he follows orders and a plan with rules and regulations..BUT now it is PERSONAL!!!
Wolfe decides to go find the ones he knows are involved, partnering with the incredible ex-Mossad Agent Eli Schochat, a person he trusts with his life and with the knowledge that she can handle herself in Any given situation. They start to Russia, where even being thrown into the worst Russian prison can not break Wolfe from his path!
An exciting, enthralling adventure written with the intensity I have come to expect from an amazing storyteller, Andy Maslen! There is blood, bodies and so many other things happening that you just Can't turn away! I love the Gabriel Wolfe series, and believe this is the best yet!!

Torpedo by Andy Maslen is another good Gabriel Wolfe story. I am now about halway through this series and it is still entertaining. It is not like everything else and Wolfe has a lot of problems to deal with, some of which is resolved in this adventure. The series is almost more about Gabriel and his life and the different missions are only there to make his life more difficult. I really like this series and am glad I found it.

Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes

This is Andy Maslen’s most emotionally-charged book in the Gabriel Wolfe series to date. It starts off with a prologue in the form of a confessional in Gabriel’s own words as he mourns the soul-shattering loss of another beloved friend. Gabriel has reached a psychological crossroads. After years of fighting for God and country and getting his PTSD under some control, this latest loss leaves him wracked by survivor’s guilt and filled with blind rage.

Searching for the assassin who killed his friend, Gabriel and his partner Eli find a lead to the Kuznitsa, one of Russia’s most powerful crime cartels led by a man named Max, who has been trying to get rid of Gabriel for several years. Upon reaching Russia, Gabriel and Eli connect with Tatyana Garin, a Russian oligarch whom Gabriel befriended in London and who provided help on several missions in the past. Learning that Tatyana also has an interest in seeing an end to Max and the Kuznitsa, a plan is set in motion. With a first strike against Kuznitsa in eastern Russia successfully sompleted, Gabriel and Eli return to Tatyana’s dacha to plot their next move. When Eli is called away on a family emergency, Gabriel goes on alone and off the rails in mindless fury. The takedown of kuznitsa is the main plot, but it is interspersed with a subplot involving a Colombian drug cartel being targeted by a mysterious female Chinese assassin and snippets of Gabriel’s written testimonial as he continues to try to make sense of his life.

As usual, Maslen amps up the action as he deepens the emotional payoff that, in this case, builds to a firebomb of a final confrontation and a closing testament that reveals a seismic shift in our haunted hero. This is a true tour de force that will leave you gasping for more

Another great episode in the Gabriel Wolfe series.

Andy’s latest book, Torpedo, is an excellent thriller from a master storyteller. A well versed narrative, taut action packed storylines and an attention to detail that marks the author a true master of the genre.

Gabriel Wolfe is back with a vengeance and is keen to get retribution. Despite his PTSD episodes, he wreaks havoc in Russia on the trail for vengeance and justice.

If you are new to Gabriel Wolfe, I would thoroughly recommend reading the books in order as they build a fuller picture of Wolfe’s history and why he is who he is. I am a huge fan of Andy Maslen’s writing and eagerly await his future books in due course. I read this in one sitting on the day it was published and will undoubtedly do likewise with the next!

Keep up the great work Andy!

Gabriel Wolfe returns in thriller #9. The story opens with gunshots by a "torpedo", an other name for an assassin: Wolfe's friend and former partner is killed, and Wolfe is wounded.

Before long, Maslen incorporates an eclectic group of international bad guys: a Mexican drug cartel, a Chinese triad member and, of course, one of the the really bad ones, the Russian mafia. And in the midsts of these disparate enemies, Wolfe is searching for the torpedo and the person who hired him.

Along the way to his self-assigned goal, Gabriel has the help of his boss, Don Webster, and his new partner, Eli Schochat, a Mossad agent. And Wolfe's journey is filled with a trip to a Russian prison, non-stop action, and a number of surprises for the reader.

Andy Maslen is truly a great author as is shown in his previous books. However, he is one of the few authors who can weave a story as intricate as this one.

They never should have killed Britta. Max's torpedo was there to kill Gabriel, but he got killed instead. Not before Britta was accidentally shot. The torpedo pulled the trigger, but Max gave the order, so now he is the target. Wolfe and Eli end up in Russia, where they raise havoc at a diamond mine and basically doing whatever they can to upset Max. Eli has to leave for home because her mom got shot and Grabriel comes up with a plan to get thrown in jail. Not just any jail, but a big bad Russian prison that Max gets his recruits from. Such a good idea, it could get him killed. Max already thinks he is dead, but will he learn the truth before Gabriel can get to him? Another Excellent Gabriel Wolfe thriller!

Torpedo Andy Malsen

Gabriel Wolfe works a very covert unit in her majesty's secret service. The unit takes care of problems MI6 can't. Or, is unwilling too. Someone very close to him has been murdered. In front of him. Actually, he was the intended target A very powerful Russian gang Lord ordered the hit. His name in short is Max. Now everyone involved including Max will die. This is an extremely powerful and well written novel. Once I started I was unable to put it down. A masterpiece!!

This is another book in the Gabriel Wolfe series and yes it is bloodthirsty and at times the violence is over the top, but the character Gabriel Wolfe is larger than life and twice as deadly. In this storyline he is here to avenge Britt’s death, she was killed at the end of No Further, Book 8 in the series.
Eli and Gabriel make a good team and hopefully they will be together for a while. I enjoyed Book 9, the aptly named Torpedo.
Highly recommended.

Awesome.

I've followed this author from the beginning and every book gets better.
Totally edge of the seat stuff, if you buy this, then be ready to read it in one instalment, it's that hard to put down.
It's very hard not to give out any spoilers whilst trying to describe the intensity within these pages, and so I will leave it there.
Buy it, read it and enjoy it.
PS if you haven't tried the Stella Cole series yet, you should.

Fighting the drug cartels AND exacting vengeance.

In this 8th of the Gabriel Wolfe series, our ex-SAS hero teams with his current ex-Mossad lover to vindicate the assassination of Gabriel's previous lover. The author brilliantly crafts nonstop action across the expanse of Russia, including a harsh prison and Siberian diamond mine. Then there's an additional matter of Gabriel's long-lost sister.

I think I must have read the other 7 Gabriel Wolfe books, but now I am tiring of the number of dead bodies involved. There are corpses everywhere and after a while we become inured to the sheer number of deaths involved. It is fast paced, but I am beginning to look for more than just just a succession of corpses.
I will need to find a different kind of thriller.

The Wolfe strikes again

Waited for it,bought it and read it in no time! Gabriel is one on his own. The storyline was excellent and believable. Eli is a one hell of a partner for him too. I would recommend this series of books from the beginning so that you can get into the mind of the main protagonists. Can't wait for the next one!

I love the Gabriel Wolfe stories ~ I really, REALLY DO, but this one clearly shows how out-of-control and hell-bent for revenge Gabriel really is: to go undercover' INTO the worst Russian jail ~ without backup or sanctions or ANYthing . . . and ~ of course ~ WIN! wow!! GREAT JOB, Mr Maslen!! *GREAT* JOB !

This is another excellent book in the series which I’ve been eagerly anticipating following the very sad end of the previous book. This one is solely about vengeance and it really is dished out in a way that only the main character Gabrielle Wolf can do . You won’t be disappointed with this book.

Gabriel Wolfe wants revenge----no matter the cost---no one or nothing will keep him from getting what he wants most. Not the Russian mob, not a Russian prison, not Colombian drug kings, not even a big Russian wolf will keep him from his one and all consuming mission....and he gets what he wants.

Another great read from Andy maslen, this book is so fast it’ll keep you awake till the end.
Triads, Russian mafia and a self imposed jail sentence brings this book to a thrilling finale.

Good But...

Lots of plates kept spinning until a mildly satisfying conclusion? Yes. But just because you can do something doesn’t always mean you should. A little too long, a little too complicated.

Andy Maslen does it again!

Another rip roaring story from Andy Maslen. Gabriel Wolfe veers between becoming more driven to right the world’s wrongs and total mental breakdown. All the while remaining an admirable character who is impossible to dislike. Roll on the next episode!

Came across the Wolfe series almost by accident. Andy never fails to deliver on an amazing thrill ride from Gabriel and his crew.. Don, Eli, Fariyah all are great characters. Action in Torpedo is FAST, yet doesn't feel rushed nor missing anything. Being from the US, it took a bit to get used to everything being "brit centric", but I really enjoy them and looking forward to the next one !

Good Thriller.

A thriller that has Wolfe embarking on a path of personal vengeance following the murder of a close female friend. Fast moving action action but at times Wolfe’s luck is a bit far fetched.
