Why the World Doesn't Need Alcohol by Samuel Hogarth is an insightful book. It provides a concise examination of the justifications people use for their alcohol consumption and responses to those justifications. Reflecting on the various harmful effects the consumption of alcohol can have on a person, and the people closest to them.

Why the World Doesn't Need Alcohol is a wonderful book, that encourages its readers to obtain happiness, confidence and such from within themselves rather than from a bottle. The author said it best in the following quote:

"Wouldn’t it be wonderful if no one in the world felt that they needed alcohol to feel relaxed, or happy, or confident, or beautiful?"
