Mysterious Coin

Really fun read, little heavy on tape of bad guys. Did not fit main character to execute bad guys the way he did. (Snicker from reviewer as reader wonders what is talking about) Guess you will have to read to form your own opinion. I plan on reading next installment.

I find it hard to put this story down. The writing is an easy-going style and the action is almost non-stop as it flows seamlessly from one character's crisis to the next! The magic is even better, and did I pick up a slight hint that Yaz might be a bit magical himself? The trio, Yaz, Brigid and the wizard, have formed a tight-knit bunch by time the end of Book 2. Yet another dragonspire has been activated. And Yaz now knows what happened to the residents of his home town and the latest quest is to find them. I really enjoy the Ranger and his part in the story, and am looking forward when the little girl with the dragons on her shoulders plays her destined part.

You know how, in some multi-viewpoint stories, you hate switching away. I don't in this one. Even the antagonists are engaging.

Only thing that confused me about this book is the blurb and the book cover. The coin is silver, and has a mountain on one side and a king's crowned head on the other. Guess the author is too busy writing to notice the blurb. It must have been written by their publisher.

I really enjoyed all 6 books in this series. I listened to the audiobooks by narrated by Joe Hempel. I really enjoyed the Dragonspire Chronicles! Yaz and his two friends did some awesome things, and Yaz's memory/capabilities worked in such interesting ways, I'm almost jealous to have a perfect memory except it made me realize it wouldn't be as great as I'd assume! From the first book to the last I was hooked. Thank you very much James E. Wisher! I'll leave the same review on all 6 books.

Good

I am really enjoying this series, there is action drama, mystery, dragons all that you want in a fantasy. Characters are developing as it should, there is nonecessary

Each book gets more intriguing and interesting, exciting for each character. Great writing and one of the important things for me is that the story was not stretched with a lot of Unnecessary Words.

I'm still waiting for all the separate stories to come together, but this was a great story despite that. A little disappointed in Yaz's decision at the end. It doesn't fit his character. But I'm hooked to find out what that bit of magic at the end is.

Language did not clean up

Less cursing and profanity would up this book's rating a full star.
I always wonder why authors who write to sell would do anything to cut out part of their market - driving readers to cleaner books.

An exciting adventure!

The exciting adventure continues with the main characters risking it all to save those they love. Mysteries continue to surround the main characters and I look forward to seeing what they are truly capable of.

Coin

When I read the collection of dragon books recommended to me, I couldn’t wait to get to the next book. Which is this one, wow so glad I did. What a journey these characters are on. Good read.

A good story it does jump around more then I would like. I think the main character might be a bit of a sociopath he seams to have less regards for human life then the villains of the story.

Still waiting on more character development especially Mix. Good ebb and flow. Looking forward to the next book. Here's hoping it's longer and more involved.
