Cute Socks
Judy is a shy, reserved, frustrated young girl home alone for a week with nothing to do. A magazine article full of “fun ideas” challenges her to cook, sing, dance and play, while wearing only socks. She glanced at the website address that Julia had obviously not noticed, which was “girlfriendsandlovers.com” and that seemed to confirm it. She considered again saying something to Julia, but for some reason, held her tongue. She had no idea what had come over her. She was almost certain that this website was about to lead to suggestions for lesbian activities, and for some reason, instead of scaring her, it excited her. She was like a totally different person this week, and she felt like she hardly knew herself.
She wanted to see what was inside the slideshow, and more than that, she really wanted to see exactly how Julia would react.

Laundry is going to be really easy at the end of the week.
You all made me listen to this. And you told me that I had to listen instead of read. You were right. The narrator was good for this. That little naughty but cute inflection was sweet.
I don't normally read this kind of story. But this was short and silly. I was entertained. I laughed out loud several times.
That neighbor was a nasty perverted lady. I don't know why you all liked her so much. Judy mentioned that she had absolutely no sexual attraction to the neighbor and then I was cringing thinking that some kind of almost assault was going to happen at the neighbor's house. Thank god that didn't pan out.
Why did the author make the names of the best friends so similar? Judy and Julia? I had a lot of difficulty trying to picture who was doing what. But since it was so campy, It didn't REALLY matter.
One thing this book did was make me think of looking up some online articles for some fun games/challenges for myself ;)

“Cute Socks” is a wonderfully adorable story, featuring a narrator whom I hope to hear on many more audiobooks.
Sexually repressed 18yo Judy finds an interesting magazine article with an idea to help her pass her time while at home alone for a week: wear cute socks. ONLY cute socks. While performing several suggested tasks. Now, I have to point out that the only flaw I found with the book is that the cover did not feature particularly cute socks. Amazing legs, yes….so no points deducted!
During the course of the week, Judy discovers the joys of being naked alone, in places she might be caught, with an understanding neighbor, and eventually with her BFF, who is particularly happy that Judy found that magazine article!
Now, much of the story is, of course, a fantasy. Well, a series of fantasies. And that’s terrific, because I enjoyed it very much! But part of what endeared the story to me were the realistic parts, that brought back fond memories of some of my own self-discoveries. Sleeping without pajamas and enjoying the feel of the sheets. Ahh. I take it for granted now, but I enjoyed being reminded of when I first discovered that particularly sensual feeling. Learning to be comfortable with my body enough to be nude around others was another fond memory. PE classes and locker rooms always seemed too judgmental (and suspicious of course, as classmates wondered who might be enjoying seeing other girls naked), but It seems like yesterday that a girlfriend and I decided to visit a local naturist club as a lark. The experience wasn’t quite for her, but I became a club member and have enjoyed many happy summers not worrying about tanlines!
The interactions with Judy’s neighbor were amusing, the interactions with her BFF Julia were fun and sexy, and Judy’s discovery about her mom was classic for a silly, sexy book like this.
I’ve already listened to this book several times, and I apologize for being so late writing a review to encourage you to listen to it. And please, do listen to it rather than read it. Narrator Mia Sloane is new to me but OMG she has the perfect voice for this story! If you like Meghan O’Brien at her best, then you’ll love “Cute Socks”! Absolutely 5*!

Well, that was a lot of fun. I’m going to first comment on Cute Socks being my first audiobook listen. How do people drive and listen because I kept either speeding up, then slamming on the brakes or driving in turtle mode, all because I was seeing two beautiful, naked women in Spongebob socks not the road in front of me.
As everybody can probably tell, I don’t ordinarily read books like this so I’m at a loss as to how to review. Here goes. Sexy and fun (I already said that), it was a good timeout from life’s stresses. Um, the characters were sweet and adorable and so adventurous. The next door neighbor added a humorous voyeuristic touch that stayed just inside of icky. I also thought it clever on the author’s part to use a magazine task list to introduce the various treats. Finally, what really sold me on this audiobook was Mia Sloane’s voice which did exactly what it was supposed to do. Thank you to Kara for her diligent efforts to bring me into the 21st century of audiobooks and Farah and Alexis for making sure I jumped aboard this ride.

Cammie Conte and Mia Sloane are the new, maybe the only power couple in lesbian erotica. This story is exceptionally written and Ms.Sloane brings every character to life and sweetly torture the listeners with her sweet, innocent and sexy voice.
Judy's journey to discovering / exploring her pleasures and sexuality did not go from O - 1OOmph, it was developed slowly, believable, volcano lava hot, made me stand on the treadmill, sweating like a fool as I couldn't run and listen at the same time and I can never look at socks the same way ever again.
I've read some of the worst, some decent but Cute Socks is the best out there. F the ebook, get the audio, it's only USD4.86. Get it as a gift for yourself, you deserve it and have yourself - a merry long sexy times!
Support Conte/Sloane's work and hopefully, the other wannabe erotica authors will be inspired to write gems instead of garbage.

Leave it to Kara and Farah to convince me to listen to this. After reading their review and now having listened to this book i'm really glad they did though.
Not only does the story get panty melting hot towards the end but this book had me laughing like crazy. Because here's the thing, you can't take this seriously. Just sit back and enjoy it for what it is. A purely entertaining fantasy!
Mia Sloane was the perfect voice for the audio book version. You can imagine a touch of innocence and inexperience in her voice in the beginning but by the end of the book that image will have been well and truly shattered.
It's not all heavy breathing though because every time Mrs Jensen made an appearance I would immediately start laughing. The things this woman would say had me blushing harder than during the sex scenes! Never change Mrs Jensen, never change!
Judy's self discovery antics alone were enough to make me think things like "that's how you get killed first in a horror movie" or "that's a good way to get a splinter" which will make sense when you read / listen to this.

This was a fun young adult lesbian erotica audiobook. I normally don’t go for these types of audiobooks but it was recommended by some of my co-reviewers, so I decided to give it a go. ‘Cute socks’ does exactly what it says on the tin: a shy girl and her best friend have naked fun while home alone. Short and sweet but also hot.
Judy is a reserved young girl who is left home alone for a week. Feeling bored, she has a fun time being completely naked except for wearing socks. When her best friend comes to visit her, they both find out that an apparently silly game can take them to erotic and sensual places…
‘Cute Socks’ has a young adult, even a bit silly feel. It’s kind of a sexual come of age for a young woman brought up in a conservative family. Don’t expect mature attitudes, deep feelings or even serious conversations. This is just fun, light and hot. My only criticism is that both characters are called with very similar names: Judy and Julia but it wasn’t a problem in the audiobook as their voices are distinctive. It might be an issue in the written version.

While I wouldn’t fill my bookcase with these books, in this case, it works well along with the come of age trope of opening to new experiences and self-discovery. The audiobook was narrated by Mia Sloane whose youthful voice is perfect for this story, she sets the narrative tone perfectly. Her performance of the characters’ voices and the sensual scenes is spot-on. If you like young adult lesbian erotica, this might be for you. Duration just over 2 hours. 4 stars.

I didn’t chose for the audio book adventure so I read Cute Socks: A Shy Girl and Her Best Friend Have Naked Fun While Home Alone instead. So being naked seems to be the kink throughout this story and call me depraved but that is not really a kink to me. But okay. Cammie Conte seems to find inspiration enough for this genre as it seems to be her main topic.
So young Judy Kemp is home alone for the week and bored out of her mind. But because of a magazine she discovers the joy of being naked. I thought Mrs. Jensen was totally perving on her teenage neighbor girl. Inviting her over for tacos in the nude. Now I don’t know where to place this and it feels weird.

Somewhere between a long short story and a short novella, Cute Socks is pretty much what the subtitle advertises. Definitely fits in the erotica category, but Conte builds up the story a bit with the first portion of the story focused on the rather boring and prudish Judy discovering the joys of spending the day wearing cute socks (and nothing else). Hey - I said this is erotica. But it is kind of cute and sweet ... and after a bit of a build up, the debauchery begins in earnest as Judy and her friend embrace the socks and nothing but the socks lifestyle. A fun read and definitely a novel premise to get things going. I'm going to dock a quarter point because I found the neighbour a bit creepy, but overall I enjoyed the read. 3.75

ABSOLUTELY adorable. This story has a couple of nice twists and Cammie takes her time. This could have been a shorter book, but she beings the simmer up to boiling very carefully so that by the end you're a complete mess. Five out of five soaked panties.

I never knew that erotica came in a sweet version, but this one did. I am not really into the whole "innocent" trope, but this book did it well. The only nitpick was how long it took to get to the sexy bits.

This was my first Audiobook in this genre. I work with many women in my office and sorta known for my ways to convey messages playfully which many asked if I read smutty books, which I never have. In comes this as a recommendation from the girls. Many times I think I blushed and/or spit up my coffee while listening to it. Needless to say, I fell in love with these books and have really taken my texting skills to the next level. But all in all this was a great little book and very fascinating and very fun to read!! Highly recommended to anybody getting into this genre of books!! I loved it!

Not my normal choice of story, as I prefer older MCs, but this sweet and sexy coming-of-age tale was extremely cute and hot, taking me back to my own times discovering new thrills.

4 stars. A great sexual discovery/awakening little tale. I liked Judy a lot. She had a charm about her and I thought she was quite adorable. I hate that the author named the other MC Julia because that shit got confusing real fast but nevertheless this was really good. I liked the writing, the plot was interesting and sexy and it’s a quick read. I would read this again.

I felt like it ended a little early. I wanted to see what happened when Judy saw her mother.
