Boss of Me is a brand new stand alone by Tia Louise. It’s been awhile since I have read anything of Tia’s. I somehow missed her last released book. So I think I just forgot how amazing she is. How much I love her books, her writing. Well, I’m reminded now, because this book is amazing. To say I fell in love with it would be an understatement!
Raquel Morgan is fresh out of Vanderbilt’s Owen Grad School with a shiny new MBA. She graduated at the top of her class. She now has a job at the prestigious Nashville firm, Fletcher International, Inc. Raquel’s older sister, Renee is a former employee of the firm. Her only advice was, do not fall for the boss. Because he is the devil. And she has no plans to do anything of the sort. Until she comes face to face with him for the very first time. Then all her plans fly right out the window.
Patton Fletcher took over his father’s commercial real estate firm when he retired. Now he has transformed it to a tech-based company with huge plans to expand further. Because Patton has people that count on him, people he needs to make sure are provided for. Patton is ex-military and his two former team mates, his brothers, work with him. Everything he does is for them, to make sure they are taken care of. Patton is a broody, brusque, difficult man. His only focus is his company. Until she walked in. There is an immediate electric pull between them. He’s determined to ignore it but it doesn’t take long for his resolve to weaken.
Patton and Raquel are amazing together. Raquel softens Patton. He smiles, laughs even, with her. He feels things he had long given up on feeling. Raquel is smart, thinks fast on her feet, and proves herself quickly in Patton’s company. This is a dream job. Can she risk falling for her boss? Will they still be able to work together?
Both Patton and Raquel feel like they are responsible for so much. They carry so much weight on their shoulders. As their feelings are growing for each other, there are other things that are falling apart around them.
I want to stop here, I’m afraid I’ll say too much, give things away. Just know that these two are such a perfect match. Raquel is so strong and doesn’t let Patton run over her at all. She challenges him. This book is steamy, sweet, and full of all the swoons. It made me feel all the butterflies I could handle. And there were some moments my heart was beating so hard. I literally could not put it down.
This was such an amazing book, these two are such a wonderful couple. The epilogue was perfect. It gave me the closure I craved. I can’t say enough how much I enjoyed it. I hope you’ll pick this up, and love it as much as I did!

Knock Out
Rocky "Raquel" has grit. She can go toe to toe with Patton and still be true to her heart. Patton stays true to his heart even though that may not be in the best interest of those he tries to protect. How many times have we all done that? We love fiercely and still step on the toes of loved ones. They navigate independently and join conclusions through forgiveness and acceptance.
Learning to live as an independent woman and stand for what you believe in is Rocky's world. Sometimes life slams you in the face and sometimes it's love. How to balance the two is happily ever after.

First of all, I’d like to thank the author for gifting a copy of this ARC! “Boss of Me” is due to come out on September 17th, and I highly recommend this sexy, entertaining read! I highly enjoyed this one, and the passion between Patton and Raquel was smokin hot! Seriously, these two burned up the pages anytime they were together!
Patton Fletcher was an intense character who may have had a chip on his shoulder, but deep inside he felt for his friends and loved ones to the extreme. In the beginning we learn about his time in the military and the comrades who were with him. Unfortunately, these men all had a traumatizing experience that just doesn’t go away once you experience them. Patton felt responsible for his men and had decided it was up to him to make their lives as easy as he could. He ends up taking over his father’s business and it becomes extremely successful... but not everyone is happy.
Raquel gets hired to join the team and she turns Patton’s life into a whirlwind that he has no idea how to control! I loved how these two tried to tiptoe around their attraction!!! It totally didn’t work and it was obvious why! When they finally give into their lust... holy hell sparks fly!
I have to say that there were a few scenes that stick in my mind! I won’t spoil anything but what I can say is this story gave me butterflies in the tummy and had me laughing out loud in the next breath! I will forever look at chicken and become very amused by them after reading this one scene!😂
Another thing I want to mention is Patton’s buddies. There was a lot of darkness going on with them. I am very curious about what their story is and what their future looks like! My fingers are crossed that we will get books on them! For now though, this is a stand alone.
Wrapping up my review, I have to say that I recommend this one wholeheartedly! It was a wonderful read and I know a lot of readers are going to love it!

Patton refuses to admit that Raquel is amazing at her job. Raquel feels like she is working for the devil, but this devil radiates sexy. The chemistry between Raquel and Patton was enough to catch the pages on fire. I did not want to put this book down. A wonderful story with plenty of feels and a beautiful HEA.

I love a good steamy and forbidden work place romance. Boss of Me is about a recent college graduate, Raquel, who takes her first job at Patton Fletcher's company.
Patton and Raquel butt heads at first. There is definitely a little bit of animosity there, but as they get to know each other and the more time they spend together, you can feel their chemistry sizzling. There is some work place drama, secrets that Patton is hiding, and some angsty moments.
I listened to the audiobook of Boss of Me and it was narrated by Lucy Rivers and Teddy Hamilton.They both did an incredible job voicing these characters. This was an easy listen and one I didn't want to press pause on. This is a complete stand-alone, but if you've read 'Stay' or 'Make Me Yours' you get a Remi and Stephen cameo which I loved!
I enjoyed listening to this book a ton. It was super steamy, sweet, and held my attention all the way through.

Oh I just loved this book!! It started with an #s$hole hero (my favorite kind) and a sweet but spunky girl.
Oh my how things changed I watched our hero Patton softened the more time he spent with Rocky.
I loved watching their bit of a forbidden love bloom (he is her Boss).
BUT there was a secret and I kept waiting for the reveal and when it did $hit hit the fan and everything was a mess. They were mess, his business was a mess....
BUT this is a Tia Louise romance and she always gives me sweet beautiful love stories so I knew she would fix this and fix it she did! She gave me the sweetest most perfect HEA.
Oh no wait she gave me two HEAs! How about that for an awesome romance!!

Interesting, fun, romantic and downright sexy. Well, that’s when you get past the arrogance just emanating off of Patton. But, if there is one person who could stand up to that arrogance and give it right back to him is Raquel. Patton may have finally met the one person who could change him, make him see life for life and stop living in the past. She may also be the one that brings him to his knees. Her sass and sexiness may just be the death of him.
But, this wouldn’t be a romance without a little bit of drama. So, who is going to cause the most drama … Martin, Taron, Renee, Jerry … take your pick. Martin fighting his inner demons? Taron trying to move on from the past? Renee with her kookiness and cryptic words? Jerry just being the biggest jerk in Nashville? They all added a little bit to the storyline and it would not have been such a complete story without all of these interesting characters adding that little extra. Then there was Sandra – the glue that kept that office running and knew exactly what Patton needed to get back into living is life again.
I really enjoyed Boss of Me. I loved the characters, the plot and how the story flowed. Everything fit together and made a complete story. Like I said, it would not have been the same without all the underlying characters … something would definitely have been missing. But, what I absolutely adored, loved, was surprised with was … The Epilogue. It wasn’t the HEA I was expecting and I could not have been happier. I cried, happy tears … I laughed … and boy did I smile. Loved. It.

Holy Hades! Patton Fletcher is one walking, talking, sexy devil of a man!

When Rocky receives a new job, her sister warns her about the man who will be her boss. Patton Fletcher is everything her sister said he would be…but more. Despite all his aggravating behaviors and treatment of her, she finds herself attracted to him.
Patton is trying to make up for mistakes in the past and in doing so he’s carrying the weight of the world on his shoulder. When Rocky walks into his life she brings light into his darkness and a smile to his lips.
”I like the way she looks at me, the way she challenges me and teases me. She’s playful and fun. She’s sunlight and fresh air. She makes me feel like for the first time in a long time I can let go and simply be.”
But his buddies are all struggling and he has to make things right. Unfortunately, with every step forward he seems to be pushed two steps back.
Rocky was a fun, sunny heroine who didn’t take life too seriously. At least she tried not to despite the heavy weight she carried on her shoulders. I loved that she was just as active in pursuing Patton as he was in pursuing her. The chemistry between these two was off the charts! I loved their beginning with their bickering and her always upping him in an argument. She did it with a smile and it drove him crazy, with desire.
Patton was the perfect aggravating boss. Until Rocky got a hold of his heart. Then he was all alpha, still bossy, and struggling to find a solution to win her. I loved that she softened him and gave him a place of peace. The fact that he listened to her, took her counsel, and conceded when she had done the right thing made me respect him.
I adored everything between these two characters. They had a quick banter, a lot of steam that demanded to be recognized, and the ability to open up to one another. Oh and chicken. Lots and lots of chicken.
There was some angst that arose towards the end, and while I knew we’d get our happy ever after, I did worry what that was going to look like. This has a few twists – some I saw ahead of time and others caught me by surprise.
With a lightning fast pace and a story that was constantly moving forward, this kept me completely engaged from the very beginning. Secondary characters were not of just the lighthearted variety, introduced for levity, but actually added drama to the story. I’m hoping we’re going to get some of their stories as well. Fingers crossed!

This is my third ARC from the Author. I've read Make Me Yours and Stay and enjoyed reading them so much... so I know from the outset that I will enjoy reading this book as well.
It's an enemies to lovers and office romance... it's very sexy and swoony. If you've been following my blog, you'd know that I'm not really a big fan of fast-paced romance. Call me old-fashion, but I like courtship and build-up. I'm too anxious and guarded to be in a whirlwind romance... but of course, you can't help it if you're being pulled into someone's orbit. That feeling of excitement and that adrenaline rush when you see that certain someone... feelings are feelings. It can be very relentless. So while I'm not a fan of those, the author makes it work... so far Patton and Raquel are my favorite Tia Louise couple!
I was so eager to know what happens next—excitedly turning page after page, and if I hadn't been sick and hadn't been taking meds, I would devoured this one overnight.
The book centers on love and brotherhood and dealing with PTSD and substance abuse.
If you're a fan of Melanie Harlow, Corinne Michaels and Rebecca Yarros, then this is the book to pick up next!

Call me old-fashion, but I like courtship and build-up. I'm too anxious and guarded to be in a whirlwind romance... but of course, you can't help it if you're being pulled into someone's orbit. That feeling of excitement and that adrenaline rush when you see that certain someone... feelings are feelings. It can be very relentless. So while I'm not a fan of those, the author makes it work... so far Patton and Raquel are my favorite Tia Louise couple!
I was so eager to know what happens next—excitedly turning page after page, and if I hadn't been sick and hadn't been taking meds, I would devoured this one overnight.
The book centers on love and brotherhood and dealing with PTSD and substance abuse.
If you're a fan of Melanie Harlow, Corinne Michaels and Rebecca Yarros, then this is the book to pick up next!

Will it hold the reader's attention from the start allowing the characters to be introduced and have enough There/There so that the hurdle of keeping the interest works...Will there be the makings of a story with enough layers so that it isn't as predictable as some can be...And most of all has there been enough showing not telling so that the reader has made that leap of faith and is committed to what was presented...
A lot to accomplish in only a little time, right...
Well, Tia Louise has the chops to do all of the above, plus more. I first discovered Tia Louise in December 2014. I came to the party a little late as her book One to Hold was released in 2013. In that book, she gave me absolutely everything I could want in a romance/suspense book. There was the insane chemistry between the main couple, a threat to the woman and secondary characters so real, they ended up having their own books later.
To this day, it is still a read I remember as wanting more as soon as I finished.
Well, with the Boss of Me, we have many of the same reasons for this to be a winning read. It opens with the main fella and his service brothers trying to do right by another downed soldier. This section is vital to the story because it lays the foundation of the relationships between the guys. We understand their reasonings, their pain and demons, and the unbreakable bond. By showing us this history in the making, we have undeniable insight and clues as to what may make them tick.
Raquel "Rocky" Morgan is smart, a beauty, and just finished her MBA program. She had offers for many of the top-tiered real estate companies in all the major markets. Instead of going to New York or Chicago, she took her professor's advice and went with the Fletcher International position in Nashville. One of the other reasons she took it was how close it was to where her sister decided to live.
Raquel and her sister had to fight for everything they accomplished as their parents were killed in a car accident when they were young. Raquel's fondest memories are being called Rocky by her dad because she would stand up for herself as a child. Her sister Renee is strong too, but in her own way. She had all the makings of a professional career like Raquel's at the very same company but something happened, something Renee will not talk about.
What Renee will advise her sister is to stay away from the Devil...also known as Patton Fletcher, her boss. Kinda hard to do that, won't it...All Renee will say is be strong and don't let him boss you around...In fact, make sure you push back, as he respects that more...
Armed with this advice, Raquel walks into the office and is greeted by the happy reception guy and directed to the only other woman in the company. She is thrilled to have Raquel there and shows her around. It only takes a hot minute and a meeting is happening with Raquel being summoned in to meet all who are part of it.
Patton Fletcher has had his hands full. He took over his father's company but his father still likes to act as if he knows best. Patton created a whole other avenue for them by becoming a type of Airbnb for companies that are doing short term deals. They need offices and Fletcher International has buildings to supply the suites for short leases with accommodations. He has brought in his band of brothers from the Marine Corp and each of them have taken on specific expertise.
But each of them is damaged as well from the last mission they did and Patton feels the responsibility to have all of them somehow overcome and do more than survive. He has run a tight ship and when he sees Raquel at the meeting, he looks to one of the others as to why is she here...
Well, Raquel and Patton are smacked with the OMG stick. Both think the other is Hot, Smart, and oh, so not to be played with. Raquel now understands why Patton is referred to as the Devil...and unbeknownst to Raquel, just her presence alone is making Mr. Professional have dirty dirty thoughts.
Patton doesn't show any of his fluster and is curt and bossy. Raquel pushes back and feels like she wasn't steamrollered. This type of banter and attraction is dangerous for both of them as he is her boss.
Well, that could be just the story, hate than like then hot to trot...but there is much more to this tale. Because we had a detailed opening, we are all in when drama and pain unfold for the characters. We care about each of them and want things to fall into place.
The story has all the fun, humor and sexy times Tia Louise is known for and the care and concern for the characters is there too.
This is a stand-alone but with the layers and the way the secondary characters have been fleshed out...I think Ms. Louise could do more with this group. I would be interested to follow them and see where all of it leads because Tia Louise has a way of creating which will always capture my interest.

There is just something so naughty and titillating about an office romance. When your adoration flows towards your boss, there's the natural power imbalance and the concern of how it will look to your coworkers. Raquel was dealing with all of that, plus she was warned not to fall for her boss. But who could realistically resist the power of Patton's allure? I know I probably couldn't and I think Tia Louise illustrated the inevitability of this couple perfectly! From their awkward moments to their insecurities to their worries about how it would look to others and how deep the other person's affections went, I was absorbed with it all.
Boss of Me
had just the right amounts of angst and steaminess to keep it entertaining as I flipped through the pages and I found myself insanely intrigued by its side characters. If you're looking for a sweet romance with a touch of drama, you're in the right place.

Really liked "The Last Guy" that she co-wrote with Ilsa Madden-Mills but this is my first solo read by Tia Louise.

This wasn’t a bad read but it was rather rushed. The side characters and their connection to the MCs needed more developing and clarity. It lacked the intense chemistry that was indicated but not felt.

You are not the boss of me ⭐️
As you might know, office romance is one of favorite tropes. I won’t ever refuse reading a romance novel like this. I think it all started with Beautiful Bastard.
Anyways, there’s usually more or less the same story: she works for an asshole, who’s like those kids in PK who pull your hair just because they like you so much. He’s growling to hide his attraction.
There’s also a fighter heroine, because how else can she stop him? This one’s name is Raquel, but everyone calls her Rocky.
Now, here’s what didn’t work for me. Decorated veterans, suffering from PTSD and some physical injuries as well, try running a real-estate company. The boss, who was supposed to be my required alpha hero, wasn’t that alpha and didn’t feel like he was much competent in his job either. He let his “brother” go try killing himself with a heroin overdose, he interfered in another brother’s relationship, making a bigger mess and coming out as an even bigger jerk just because he assumed he knew best, still let his daddy control him and I didn’t get his obsession or interest in his employees’ clothing colors. 🤷🏼♀️
I liked Rocky, though. She’s smart and stands her ground. Not to mention that banter between them, which made me giggle a few times.
I kinda liked how their relationship progressed as well, up until that moment before the end where they need to fight, break-up so they can finally live HEA. 🙄 if you’re smart, you can guess the reason for their fight even from the first pages of the book.
Long story short, I enjoyed reading it. If you like office-romance like I do, you should definitely give it a try.

Hey, i do not mind having a boss like Patton. Wow! He is sexy. Office romance is the theme of the story. With a twist of office politic. I am surprise enjoying this book.
The story seems very boring and dragging. But the author done a good job injecting a twist and complexion with Patton. The character dvelopment is suffice to make the story bloom. I want to see more steamy chemistry between the hero and the heroine.
Overall this is a enjoyable story for a laxy weekend.

This was a nice romantic read. I liked both Patton and Rocky. Let’s face it any book with a strong intelligent female lead can’t be bad.
Raquel is warned not to fall for the devil. But Patton is way more than she expected and she’s powerless to resist him.
This is a good hot office romance and well worth checking out. There’s more depth than your normal romance.
I will say I nearly missed the epilogue. The book finished a bit abruptly for me. Or so I thought. I wanted some closure.
I wasn’t happy with this and checked out reviews to see if anyone had the same complaint. One review mentioned an epilogue!
Why put THE END if it’s not the end?
So I went back to read the epilogue. Which was fabulous but I would rather have read it with the rest of the book not the next day 🙄

What can I say? Tia Louise has outdone herself again. Boss of Me is simply incredible! Patton and Raquel aka Rocky have oodles and oodles of chemistry. They burned up the pages! Patton has so many scars from his military past and he feels like he let his guys down. Every decision he makes now is to better the lives of his guys. When Raquel is hired at his company, she sparked new life into Patton. She is a force, both smart and confident. Patton definitely met his match with her. There is just something so endearing with Raquel. And Patton...sigh! There is so much more to him than what he portrays on the outside! I truly loved this book and these characters!

With a not so pretty past, and not trying to turn his fathers real estate business into a tech based company, he has a lot on his shoulders. So the last thing he needed was Raquel Morgan being hired and in his space all the time and making him want to lose that control he hold on to so tightly.
Patton and Raquel had such strong chemistry it was evident from their first meeting, even through the insults. They had me on the edge of my seat just dying to see what would happen when they finally gave in to that connected, and it was worth every page that I waited. They were explosive together and it was so fun to read about.
This book delivers it all, intensity, sexiness, sweetness, a little angst. It was just brilliant and I definitely recommend reading it, especially for anyone that loves a good brooding hero as much as I do.

2,5. No conocía a esta autora y, después de este libro, parece que tampoco me había perdido nada. Se trata de un instalove de esos que te hacen rodar los ojos, con una trama de la que la autora podría haber sacado mucho más jugo. Y despachar la historia de Marly, cuyo personaje hubiera dado para una trama mucho más interesante que la que nos ocupa, a traición, en el epílogo, me ha parecido fatal. Si leo los siguientes será solo por saber qué será del resto de amigos.
Por si eso fuera poco, la traducción al español de KU necesita una buena edición. Hay erratas y traducciones literales que no tienen sentido en nuestro idioma.

She was so hurt by that that she left the job and the whole career and had a meltdown
The H “knows” there was no assault
Yet he offered hush money?
Never confronted his friend
Has been protecting him
His excuse were “I was young”
“my sister was younger than you”
H: I was protecting my company and friend
h: at the cost of my sister’s life?
He had NO answer to that.
Yet because he somehow secured the sister a loan (I call it guilt) and now the sister is okay-ish, his behaviour is forgiven??!!

OMG this book...the chemistry, the slow building mystery, the drama ...all of it was off the charts. Tia Louise has done it again with this amazing story and wonderful characters. Boss of Me is the perfect office love story.
Boss of Me is my favorite Tia book to date. Tia Louise emotionally slayed with this book. It's heartfelt, sinful, sexy, steamy, emotional and has all of the great qualities of a Tia Louise book. I'm a huge fan of her work but there was something about Patton and Raquel's story that made this book extra special. It really was magical. I'm in awe of this book and these wonderful characters.
Tia delivered one hell of a romance by n Boss Of Me. Patton and Rocky are crazily amazing together and the side characters were simply fabulous. There were plenty of swoon worthy moments throughout as well as some drama and angst. The trauma and drama that Patton and his men have been though was very well written and added an additional layer to the story. I really hope we get more from this group of characters in the future.

There were plenty of swoon worthy moments throughout as well as some drama and angst. The trauma and drama that Patton and his men have been though was very well written and added an additional layer to the story. I really hope we get more from this group of characters in the future.

Boss of Me was a incredibly sexy read!
That cover pretty much sums it up because I had so much fun reading this book. It was romantic and intensely sexy.
The sparks flying between Patton and Rachel makes for an unbelievable page turner. I felt like I was constantly fanning my faces because these two are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You know I love a heroine that is sassy AF and boy does Tia Louise deliver. Plus Patton Fletcher is another prime example of an alpha male. *SIGH*
Boss of Me is a must read if you are in a mood for a book that is steamy, romantic and just plain awesome!

I wasn’t captivated by this story, possibly due to background with all the issues Patton’s friends and Raquel’s sister were facing and carrying their own baggage.
Regardless, the writing was good and there was a great chemistry between Patton and Raquel.

BOM is romantic, sweet at times, sexy as heck, and a man in a suit? HECK YEAH!

Patton is just brilliant!!
I've been dying for this book since it was first announced. I'm a big fan of this author and whatever she does I luv no matter what it is. When I found out a bit more about the book and Patton I knew he was goin to be a brilliant character. But God can this guy be frustrating at time. He hasnt had it easy the militarily didn't really go the way he had planned things happened that were hard to undone. But he is a leader and he will alway make sure is team is ok even if they don't need his help or guidance. His friends and ex militarily team have alway been close growing up together made there connection so strong they were his family. But Patton liked things a certain way and his work place was the same. Things might of been hard but he had a company to run and it was goin to a success. He had plans and they had to go well so his mind is on work even though with there is craziness goin on. Things get a lil complicated when a stunning dark hair blue eyes woman comes walking into there offices. It's has been a long time since a woman like Raquel has turned his head. But Patton is her boss he couldnt do anything about his feels he would just have to fight whatever feels he has for her. It wasn't goin to easy for him and she wasn't going to make it easy either.
Raquel is a brilliant character I really liked her from the start. She is a beautiful intelligent woman. Raquel has worked hard to get where she is and now she is in the corporate world she was going to show what she could do. She knew working at Fletcher International wasn't going to be easy. She has heard thing about Patton but she was hoping they were just rumours surely the guy couldn't be the devil right. She soon found out what he was like. He might be sexy but this guy does a mean streak but Raquel saw him differently. Patton wasn't as bad has everyone was saying he could be mean and his temper was and at times but he just liked control and when he didn't have it he wasn't used to it. He had control over everything. Deep down Raquel couldn't hide her feelings for him but she knew if she wasn't careful she could fall hard for him.
I really enjoyed this book it was brilliant from start to finish I luvd it. The characters were so good and I mean all the characters not just the main ones. I m really hoping that we get more from the other characters Taron is a great character I really need more from him. I would luv more from Marley and Renee to they are really good characters. There is so much to find out about them all.. So fingers crossed there is his story soon. I really liked Patton and Raquel together they were smoking hot and the attraction to each other was crazy. Raquel really brought out the better side to Patton. He thought he was this hard guy and didn't show his feels but he couldn't help pouring them out to Raquel she made him feel and it was great to see the change in him by the end of the book. I would highly recommend this book. I luvd everything about it and I'm hoping to get more from these character.

This was my first book by this author and I really liked what I read. The story is a little too fast paced for my liking and some parts could have surely needed a deep dive. However, the characters are very easy to like and I enjoyed spending time with them.

Patton with his alpha male vibes is an intriguing character with a great heart. But sometimes loving too hard makes you blind for the needs of your loved ones. So his character is not all good or broody or moody or caring. His character is also sad and heart-breaking.
Raquel is a clever and beautiful woman who doesn’t take everything that’s thrown at her. Instead she takes the opportunity to turn things around and to show how strong she is.
Patton and Raquel are quite a match that was supposed to happen.
